Day 302

So, my Mom and I got to sleep in today. Even longer than we thought we'd be able to actually. You see, breakfast is served from 8 to 9:30...so we were up at quarter to 8 to be ready by 9. But what you have to remember, is that Breakfast is served during those times in the Italian time zone...not England's. As I was finishing getting ready, and heard dishes clanking around, I thought OOPS! Sure enough, when my Mom went out to see what time it was, breakfast was finished. My Mom apologized to the lady. She explained what happened with our alarm clock (as we're using my cell phone), and the lady, completely understanding asked if we'd want a cappuccino. My Mom said yes, and we went out to the rooftop patio. As we sat down, she came out with croissants, yogurts and more. It was very nice of her, and of course it was all delicious.

When we finished, we got ready, and we went for a walk. We ended up past the Colosseum, and were taking pictures in an amazing building - the Foro Traiano - chronologically the last of the Imperial fora of Rome, that had army men guarding the top of the stairs. I of course, had my picture taken with them. Once we had completely scoped that building out, and gone up and down stairs, the battery in my camera was dying. We jumped on a bus and came back to the Bed and Breakfast to let it charge for about 2 hours. While it did that, we checked e-mails, and watch the Premiere to Big Brother 12. I was SO excited!!! - Yes, I know how odd that sounds when I'm sitting here in Italy.

So, Big Brother was practically finished, and the camera was pretty much charged, when we decided to leave again. This time, we walked out past the colosseum to the train station. For some reason, I was in a mood, and because I didn't know why I felt like crying, I was getting even angrier - with myself - which made me want to cry even more...what an evil cycle! Anyway, good thing I was with my Mom because after a short while, I was back to normal. She had done what she knows how to do best, made me smile, and took my mind off of how stupid I was being. During this time, we had caught a bus and taken a very short ride up the road. When we got off we began walking to what we were hoping was the river. After seeing signs for other places we knew we wanted to see, we diverted, and went to the Fontana di Trevi. After that, we found our way to the Spanish Steps, and once we finished there, we walked all the way back to the Foro Traiano. We did quite a bit of walking, and were very proud of our navigation skills. We jumped on a bus to the Colosseum, and then got amazing pizza right across the street. The view was amazing, and the people watching was great! Man there are some weird people around. For instance...the guy in SHORT red shorts, that bent over right in my Mom's view to take a drink of water at a fountain, and the 2 gay guys that had a fight in their car, to the point of one of them getting out and storming away. Yes, we had a wonderful time today, and after polishing off most of our food, we came back to the Bed and Breakfast where we'll now watch another episode of Big Brother, and go to sleep. Good Night xx
