What an awesome day :D Aside from one major downfall...but even SOME good came out of that. Oh the things that change with just a little happiness mixed with a visit from my Mom :)
My alarm went off at 5:30, and the first thing that entered my mind was "Nooooo". A short second later, my eyelids shot open, I jumped up and thought "YES!!!!!!!!!!!" Jelly heard me get up, and wouldn't shut up. When I went down to get my breakfast, I was tip toeing around trying not to make too much noise, when minutes later I thought...wait a second...I should be making all kinds of noise! My sleeping never stops them! I didn't though. I went into the utility room, and saw cat pills scattered across the floor. Maybe all Jelly's meowing was an attempt to tell me he'd overdosed. Nah...probably not. I got ready, and an hour later, I was out the door and on my way to the airport. Man are there a ton of things to see at the airport.
My Mom's flight got in early, but waiting for it to say "Baggage in Hall" is what took ages. The plane from Orlando that landed after hers was unloading luggage before Vancouver's. Ridiculous. One thing it did do, other than make me anxious...was give me time to...enjoy? the sights. My Lord! There were some poorly dressed, fashionless people there today, and at one point...I felt like I was on Candid Camera. This lady with badly dyed purple hair on top of her blonde hair, came through the doors. She was completely dressed in white and pink clothes that looked like pyjamas, and was carrying a pink pillow. You'd have to see her to get the full effect...but believe me when I say it was bad!
Finally through the doors, came my Mom. I ran right over to her and gave her a huge hug. She didn't think I was supposed to be where I had come to...but I didn't care. We went upstairs to Starbucks, only to find it had disappeared. WHAT THE? Sometime between when I was there to get Kurt, and today, it had been taken away :( We got to the car park, and headed for Braintree.
We picked Toni up, and my Mom met her cat, Cedric. Then we went to Starbucks, and sat in the sunshine while we talked and drank. A quick look around the Bench store, and a few others, and we were back at Toni's dropping her at home. We came to the house, and weren't acknowledged by anyone. We came right up to my room, and a little while later, there was a knock at my door. I opened it to see a little Zach standing there with a smile. "Where's Judy?" he asked. I moved out of the way so he could see her, and told him he could come in. I closed the door behind him, and he gave her a hug :D Then I got a hug as well. We talked for a bit, and then he asked if we wanted to see his Batman Bouncy Castle. He wasn't kidding...he's got his own bouncy castle! And it's AWESOME! We watched him bounce around on that, and finally people began to say hi to my Mom. Then she got changed quickly, and we headed to the Park to watch the game, just her and I.
The line up to get into the parking lot was lengthy, but we got in pretty quick. Then it was a line to get our tickets, and then a line at the ice cream truck, but luckily we were sitting down in time for kick off. What happened next wasn't what any England fan would hope for, but was perhaps what most England fans have come to expect. Disturbed, and a little upset after the final blow of the whistle, we gathered our things, and walked towards the exit. As we walked, we passed a camera man doing an interview with someone. They immediately stopped asking their current interviewee questions, and came towards us. It was ITV News, and they wanted to hear what we had to say. Once we finished that interview, a man from the local paper came over. He took a couple of pictures of us, then our information, talked to us a bit more, and we were on our way. In the parking lot we were speaking to someone who mistook us for Americans. After we corrected him, he apologized...much like the man at the airport who called us "typical Americans". A little closer to the car, the guy from the Newspaper was getting into his. He called out to us, and got a card out. He gave it to me, and said it was nice meeting us. Off we went.
We came to the house first to push record for the news, and Heloise was in. We waited for her, and then the 3 of us headed to my Uncle's for dinner. Nathaniel asked me to take shots on him, so I did that, and my Mom and I acted as a stretcher for Zach when he was "hurt" in a game of bocce. Dinner was ready, and once we ate, the dessert and coffee followed. Another quick game of stretcher, some conversations/promises - in whisper - about marshmallows and Jack with Zach, and then it was time to leave.
My Mom and I drove back together, and when we arrived...everyone else was on the step. They had forgotten their house key HAHAHA. We let them in, and came upstairs to watch some of the Argentina vs Mexico game and shower. We spoke to my Dad on Skype, and then my Mom went to bed. I'm going to upload a couple of pictures from my camera...panic a bit about where one of my memory cards went to, and then go to sleep. Good Night xx
