I had a couple of guys staring at me while I drank my Starbucks today, and got flowers!!! You'll have to read on to find out what I'm talking about.
First, the flowers. I was up in my room and heard Zach calling me. It drives me when they do this, because number one I've normally JUST come upstairs so why did they wait? And Number two...they call you, but don't listen for your answer, so you hear your name 10 times, and say what 10 times, but nothing else comes of it. I yelled what, and he said something but I couldn't hear him. When I finally went back downstairs, he said, "I have something for you". He held out his hands and had picked me a mini bouquet of flowers. Oh my Goodness! What a sweet heart! I gave him a hug, thanked him and ran upstairs to take a picture. Then I put them in some water, and gave him another hug.
I walked the boys up to school today, and Josh was giving me a hard time, because rather than throw the ball (they'd kicked into the street) over the bushes back into the yard...I carried it to school. To him that wasn't good enough. NOBODY carried it. Not his Dad...not his Grandpa...Of course that meant EVERYBODY kicks it back over the fence. Finally fed up of hearing him go on and on about what EVERYBODY else does, I asked if it was ok that I wanted to play with it on the way home? Did he mind cuz it wasn't what EVERYONE else would do according to him. Ugh. Nothing I do is good enough for him! Driving, speaking, and now this. I'm so fed up with it. So I expressed my feelings.
I walked home tossing the ball, and remembering what it was like to be in net. Sigh. I miss soccer.
When I got back, I switched the laundry on, and I checked some e-mails, then went up to Braintree. Today I got an iced Soy extra Caramel Macchiato. It was good, especially when you got a sip of just caramel! But it was gone entirely too fast. Not like a frappuccino or a coffee/tea...like water. A few sips, and you were done. I probably won't get it again, unless I'm dying of heat.
As I sat there writing, there was a little boy standing on a chair, he may have been 2, if that, and he'd give me a huge smile, and then bury his head on the table. It was SO cute! Then they left, and this little boy...maybe a 3 month old, was staring at me and couldn't stop smiling. Either could I hehe. They made my day. Ok so my blog lead in was a little misleading...but it still counts right?
Anyway, I finished my drink, and came back to the house to do laundry, and try to find the Ellen from yesterday. It didn't happen. I found a clip, but not the whole episode :( I'll have to look again tomorrow. I have so much to catch up on now!
When it was time to go get the boys, I walked up. It was another warm day. Shorts and tank top weather, but it was grey out. Zach, Nathaniel and I walked home, and Josh went to Ben's for dinner. When we got in, I managed to get both of them to do their homework, and we were done everything by about 4:30! I couldn't believe it. I had the chicken in the oven, and was finishing up the vegetables when Zach did his flash cards. I cut myself with a potato peeler. That didn't feel too nice...but all in all, things were good. Heloise got home in time to eat, so the 4 of us sat down together, and right after dinner, I walked to the school. Josh was in a concert.
Tina saved me a seat, so when I got there, we were in the perfect spot. He didn't perform until the very last of the concert, but the group did "I Got A Feelin" and "Sweet Child O' Mine" on the guitar. They were awesome.
Tim met up with us there and drove us home. Now I'm jumping in the shower, hopefully talking to my Mom, and going to bed. Good Night xx
