Day 235

A knock came at my door early this morning. It's the first time in a long time, so instead of ignoring it, I sprung out of bed without even thinking. I had been extracted from my dream, right to my feet. I attempted to look awake, and opened the door. There stood Josh. "Did I wake you up?" "What's up?" I asked. Instead of answering he said, "Did I wake you up?" Now to most of you, this is a normal question. You're thinking, why didn't you just answer him. But you see, after nearly 8 months of living with Josh, I know he only wants to know the answer so that he can talk about how late you sleep, another day. I repeated myself. "What's up?" He then said, to my surprise "Do you want a tea or coffee?" Confused, I replied..."No, thank you." He said ok, and then said "Sorry if I did wake you up", and left the hallway. I crawled back into my bed, wondering what that was all about, and wondering if he was sent up by his parents. I later found out there was no way that was the case...so I'm still a bit confused, as I'm positive he doesn't know how to make tea or coffee. Now, before I get too ahead of myself. This wasn't the first time I'd been woken up today. No, the yelling began much earlier than that just before 9 wake up call. So, for the 2nd time, I shut my eyes, and tried everything to shut my mind off and go back to sleep. It took some time, but I had just managed when..."knock" "knock"...ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Up I got, out of bed, to answer the door for the second time. Again...it was Josh. This time, he had a phone in his hand. He told me it was Tina, and began talking...I ignored him as I said hello, but vaguely heard him say that his Mom was home. He left, and I shut the door. Tina asked if she/Josh'd woken me up, and although I said it was ok, it wasn't the first time today, she was very apologetic. She began talking to me about Football, and I had no idea what was going on. I heard Heloise downstairs, so I told Tina, and brought the phone to her. She was giving Josh crap for waking me up. - That's how I know he wasn't told to come up here the first time - I handed her the phone, and came back upstairs, but there was no way I was falling back to sleep this time.

I layed here for a bit, and eventually decided there was no hope. I rolled over, got my laptop, and decided I was going to have a lazy day. I did just that. I sat in bed watching TV on my laptop until I heard everyone leave. That's when I went downstairs to make an omelette. Then I returned to my room to eat it and watch some more TV. It was about 2 o'clock when I decided I should get in the shower. When I was finished, I came back in my room, and shut the door. I had heard Heloise and the boys return, and then Tim and the boys leave again before this, so I knew if I went downstairs to make a white chocolate mocha, it would be fairly quiet. It was. I made my drink, and stood around talking to Heloise until the phone rang. Then I came back upstairs to watch more TV. I was also job searching. The next time I left my room was to make some pizza, and then I didn't leave again until after talking to my parents, as it was then time for me to go babysitting.

I said bye to Tim and Heloise and began walking up the street. The next thing I knew, it was raining a little harder, and Tim was calling after me. He suggested I bring the car, as I wasn't sure what time the parents would be home, and the walk through the pathway would be very dark, and pretty spooky. I ran back, got the keys, and left again.

When I arrived at the house, just across from Tina's, Oliver came to the door with his Mom and said hi. The mom showed me where everything was, and I had a conversation with the dad. The 2 little girls were in bed, and Oliver was to go to sleep after Britain's Got Talent. His parents left, and we watched together until 9 o'clock. When he went up, I watched Friends until "Pretty Woman" started. :) Watching it reminded me of my Mom and my Aunt, as the first time I watched it was just this past November with the two of them. What a great movie. When that finished, I began to watch "Made of Honor" I love Patrick Dempsey. I discovered there's a mistake in the movie though. As sad as it may be...it's about Starbucks. You see, he walks in and orders a Caramel Macchiato, extra caramel. You can't do that. There's no such thing as a Caramel syrup, the drink is actually made with Vanilla. That's right, I'm a nerd. Anyway, they got home about half an hour into the movie, we talked for a bit, and then I drove back to the house. I came in, locked up, everyone's asleep, and now I'm sitting here voting for a friend to be the opening act for Lilith Fair. Soon after I post this, I'll be asleep. It's past 1. Good Night xx

  1. I think you need to go to Starbucks, order a Carmel Macchiato, extra caramel and see what happens!!! What they say "what are you out of your mind!!" Then you say you saw it in a Movie and if Patrick Dempsey orders it, it must be!!!!
Try it in a couple of different Starbucks and see if they question you or try to make it. I will be waiting to see what this survey comes up with. Your mom and Tara need to try it in Canada!! Don't say No!!
