Day 203

I am having a GREAT weekend! I know...weird right? I don't know what it is, but I've been happy for so much of it. I know seeing someone that really makes me smile has certainly helped...it's just been awesome.

I got up early today thinking there would be Easter things happening before I went out. There weren't. I came down and gave the boys their eggs. Zach and Nathaniel were SO excited!! In fact, Zach clung onto his for the rest of the morning. I watched him as I ate my breakfast, and it had me smiling. The 2 eldest got ready for Rugby, and as Zach was going to watch, he got his shoes on. I came upstairs to get my shoes on, as I would soon be leaving as well. I wanted to make sure I looked decent too.

After a bit, I went down, said bye to Heloise, and headed to Braintree. I was super early. It wasn't even 11 yet, and our movie was at 11:25. I sat in the car, listened to music and played Sudoku while waiting for Toni to arrive. When she did, the two of us went in, bought our tickets, grabbed our seats, and enjoyed a very good, but sad movie. It was "Blind Side". When we came out, the wind was cold, but we decided to walk to Starbucks from where we were, instead of moving our cars.

We walked in, and at first I didn't see him. I had to laugh because he had told me before, that he'd probably be asleep on the floor in the back. He was crushing boxes when I was waiting for my drink, and stopped to talk to me until someone in the back interrupted. Jerk! I got my drink, and sadly, but still smiling, left.

When Toni and I got to our cars, we had just said bye, and were getting in, when Toni's sister Tina, and her family walked by. They were running late for their movie so they didn't have time to stop and talk...but I got a text from Tina later about the Starbucks cup I had in my hand when she saw me :p I drove home singing with a smile on my face, and when I got back, everyone was home. The movie was pretty long so it was after 2, and I was sure we'd be heading to my Uncle's soon. I came upstairs to put my stuff away, and on my way back down, Zach asked me if we could watch Spiderman. I came back up, got my computer, and the two of us sat down to watch while Nathaniel played Wii. When we were finished watching the part we had yet to see the other day, he asked if we could watch the 2nd one. We started that, and that's when Heloise came in to see if the boys were going to do their Easter Egg Hunt...something I thought must have already been done. Zach asked if I was going out with them, so I put my computer away, grabbed my shoes, and headed out. He actually asked me if I'd help him look! I felt privileged. Off we went. Josh, Nathainel, Tim, Zach and I. Heloise was in the house. We went around the garden, I took pictures, and pointed out eggs. It was so nice to see the boys get so excited. We had a great time. My favourite picture (that I'll probably post on Facebook tomorrow), is of Zach, with the big chocolate egg he found in the tree. When they spotted that one tree, their faces lit up. Nathaniel couldn't stop jumping up and down, and Tim was in the middle of a conversation with a neighbour while Nathaniel was going "DADDY LOOK!!!!!!" It was too cute. That was the last of our hunt. We took everything in the house, and put it on the counter in their separate bowls. Josh started giving me a few of his Cadbury Creme Egg minis cuz I had said they were my favourite, and Nathaniel doesn't like them, so he gave me a couple as well. Once they had a few eggs, Nathaniel and Zach asked me to go back outside and help them build a den. We went out, Josh and Heloise left for swimming, and as we were looking for an orange rope, Tim told us it was time to go to my Uncle's. We got our stuff on, and soon arrived.

The boys received Easter chocolates and some Canadian money (as we leave Wednesday) from their grandparents, and then went in the pool with Tim and my Uncle. I spoke with my Aunt in the kitchen, then went to sit with her and watch them in the pool, and when she disappeared to check on things, I thought I should see if she wanted any help. I went out, and the two of us checked on the turkey, and moved some stuff around. Most of the stuff was ready, we were just waiting for her sister and husband to arrive, as well as Josh and Heloise. We sat down and talked a bit, and when everyone got there, the digging in began. I was full for some reason before starting, but it didn't stop me having some turkey and lamb. There was good conversation, and a few times where I almost ended up in tears due to the topic of conversation - No one's fault, I'm just sensitive about certain things - and after dinner, I refused dessert, and got lots of cuddles from Nathaniel. He was exhausted. He was sitting on my lap at the table, then we moved to the couch until a commercial in some show Tim and Heloise get wrapped up in, and he gave me a cuddle there. At the break, we were all hurried out the door and tried to make it home before the show came back on. I'm not sure if they were successful or not.

The boys went straight up to bed, and I came upstairs to see if I had plans. Toni and I text back and forth, and in the end, decided tonight probably wasn't the best night to go see a movie, as we weren't sure about the tire on the car I drive, and she was pretty sleepy. We've made plans for tomorrow though, so that will be good. I made a mocha, and turned on American Idol. I was going to pack some more, but started talking to people, and procrastinating. I've got most of it done anyways, it's just a matter of throwing things in now that I don't think I'll wear before the trip, and won't need when I come back. Now I'm lying here thinking I have to get up around 8...so I should probably go and try to get tired. Sorry if this blog is choppy, I was a little too focused on American Idol. Speaking of, here are my thoughts.

Siobhan's performance, was not good. It's funny, I totally agreed with Simon (as I normally do), but even on the outfit. It just wasn't right.

I actually enjoyed Big Mike's performance tonight. He sounded good.

Casey had me a little bored.

I thought Didi was great. Right from the start. Oooh...according to the judges, I missed something.

I still don't think Tim is great, but I think he gets better and better each week.

Andrew's got a good voice, but I love this song, and it's one that makes you want to get up and dance...and this version takes that away. I don't like that.

Katie's performance was ok, but I think it was the wrong song choice. They always tell her she's too old, and then she picks that? Hmm.

I still think Lee's going to win. He's got such a good voice. Crystal's amazing too (although she hasn't performed yet), but I think he'll win. Aww I love how happy he gets when people compliment him.

Crystal was GREAT! I loved her performance!

And I'm happy with who's gone. I think it could have been any of those 3 really.

And that's that. Good Night xx
