Despite a few events that could have potentially thrown off some plans, today was another good one! In fact, the wrench in the day for Toni, was actually a plus for me. (As horrible as that sounds...I will explain in the next few paragraphs).
I woke up fairly early (for a weekend), got dressed, and went downstairs for breakfast. After I ate, Nathaniel wanted me to help him make a chick out of pom poms and pipe cleaners. Of course, what that really meant was "Hey Maija, I'll cut up the orange pipe cleaner for the beak, and feet...you do the rest while I sit on the couch". I called him back a number of times telling him I wasn't doing it on my own. Eventually, when nothing was sticking together, and Tim suggested the boys go outside, I gave up. Nathaniel thought he was going out without cleaning up. He was wrong. Once I put the mess bucket (craft tub) away, I sat down on the couch with Zach, and we watched Pooh's Heffalump movie. It made me think of Stephen, and baking cookies, which made me smile. I answered each question I could, that Zach had about the movie, and the two of us enjoyed it together. It was really nice. Just before it ended, the other 2 and Tim came in. They started bugging us wanting to know when the football game was on (Even though they knew), and kept asking questions, making it very difficult for Zach and I to watch the end of the movie. We told them to be quiet, and when the movie was over, each of us left the family room.
I came upstairs to get ready to go out, I think Zach went into the playroom. I soon had a knock on my door though. It was funny cuz I heard him reach for the door knob first, then he clearly remembered he's not supposed to barge in, and he knocked. I answered, and he asked if we could watch Spiderman. I told him I was getting ready to go out. He wanted to know where. I picked him up, we had a cuddle, and a little bit of a dance - as I was playing music - and I carried him around my room as I got ready. He asked to get down at one point, and examined the same picture he always seems to examine. The one from the Tower of Terror. He asked his regular questions, and I answered. He then said ok, I'm gonna go now, and he ran downstairs.
I eventually went down, said bye, and drove to Braintree. I had my music cranked and was enjoying Hedley, when a song came to an end and I heard my phone ringing. I saw that it was Toni, but was unable to answer it because there was nowhere to pull over. I then got a text, and because I was supposed to be meeting with her, I took a glance at my phone to see what it said. Her car had broken down, and she wouldn't be able to meet with me after all. Crap! I drove the rest of the way anyway, and when I had a chance to pull over in the parking lot, I called her. The phone went straight to the machine. I sent her a text, looked for a parking spot, and then called a few more times. Eventually I got to speak to her. She would have to wait until 2:45 for a tow truck, so I couldn't even go get her. She was in a multi story car park somewhere. I walked to Freeport anyway, and headed into Starbucks.
I knew from conversation, that Starbucks guy had got a haircut, but had yet to see it. I was telling myself maybe this was a good thing, maybe I wouldn't like him as much without his beautiful hair, and that would make it easier to speak to him. Nope, not a chance. I walked in, and all of a sudden felt very nervous. I approached the very busy line up, and couldn't stop smiling, trying to look elsewhere, at anything, but him. It was difficult. He was standing there looking AMAZING, and there was nothing I could do about it. I was so nervous, my heart was racing, and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get my words out to the cashier. I was trying to think of how to compliment his new hairstyle without hitting on him. Luckily I didn't have to say too much to the girl taking my order, because it was one of the ones who knows what I drink. She asked me a couple of questions, and smiling ear to ear, I answered. She then told me the cashier would ring me in. He did, and I moved down to wait for my drink while Starbucks guy, went to the back. Still waiting for my drink, he walked out. The place was crazy busy, and he stopped just long enough to make a comment, answer what I said, and leave. I was so giddy. I got my drink, and I went to sit down to enjoy my drink and see what was happening with Toni. While I was texting back and forth with her, he walked back in, but straight to the back. I sent Tina a couple of texts, checking over my shoulder to make sure no one who worked there was around, and I asked Toni if she wanted me to stick around. She told me not to, and said she'd text me when she knew what was happening. In between texts, I had words running through my mind, and I ended up writing a poem. I saved what I had written to my cell phone drafts, and finished writing it when I got home - You can find that on my FB - But please don't mention who it's about.
I finished my drink, and I drove back, singing to my music and smiling. When I arrived, the boys were playing outside while Tim put their goalie nets together (That could be dangerous...it's very tempting to jump in goal). Heloise came in to talk to me, and couldn't believe the "luck" Toni has been having lately. I was making a salad, and received a text as we spoke. Toni needed to purchase a new battery for her car. It was done now though, and she was upset due to the money she had to spend. She still wanted to go to a movie though (It's free for us), and she had to pick something up for her Mom for Easter. She asked if I was still interested, I checked the times, and in a little less than an hour, I was out the door trying again.
I had burnt her a Michael Buble CD and wanted to make sure it worked, so I had that cranked on the way this time. It was great, and I was in an AWESOME mood. I got a spot crazy close to the theatre, and she pulled up shortly after. I gave her the CD, and we went in to purchase our tickets. When we put them in a safe place, we headed back to Freeport so she could pick up what she needed. When we had done that, we decided to go to a Starbucks. She said she didn't want one, but there was no way I wasn't going in there, and she wanted to sit anyway. I had told her about my earlier experience, and how great he looked. We walked in, and this time, he was making drinks. I ordered mine, and Toni did end up ordering one as well, as I told her I was paying, and knew she wanted one. We moved to the end of the counter, and as he was making our drinks, he began talking to me. "you just can't stay away can you?" he said to me. I told him it was true, I couldn't, and said it was cuz of his haircut. He said he thought it might be and we laughed. We talked a bit more about movies and stuff, and then he put our drinks up and we said we'd see each other later. I giddily walked out the door with Toni, and we sat outside to enjoy our drinks. We had both got Caramel Hot Chocolates - SOOO GOOD! There were a few different topics of conversation, but it was mainly about him, and she was telling me she could see why I like him as he's "lovely", we have so much in common, and she thinks I should ask him out. Haha. I wish I had the guts. We finished our drinks, and walked around the shops. Although neither of us were willing to spend money, we walked into Bench. It's a kind of torture when we do that. For instance, we both fell in love with a spring coat. It's not very expensive, and it's purple! I may have to purchase it when I get back from Canada. We did manage to leave the store without dipping into our accounts, and we headed to the theatre.
I got my popcorn and a drink, and knowing that I wouldn't eat it all, told Toni she had to have some. You see, there's no happy medium between the medium and large sizes of popcorn here. You either finish the medium and still feel hungry, or get the large and are full before finishing. And the small...well it's a joke! It wouldn't fill a sparrow. Anyway, we got our things, and were first in line to enter the theatre. This meant that we got our favourite spots, and the two of us were very excited about seeing "How to Train Your Dragon" in 3D. IT WAS AMAZING! Seriously! One of the best movies I've seen in a while, and probably one of my favourite movies. The two of us really liked it, and when it was done, sat and waited for David's (a friend of Tara's) name to come up in the credits. COOL!
I drove home, spoke to my Mom, Starbucks Guy, and David online, watched "2012", and should now be asleep...as I'm going to the movies in less than 11 hours, annnnnnnnd I'm sleepy :p Good Night xx

Glad you liked the movie. I am guessing I won't see it in the theatre and will have to wait for the dvd.
ReplyDeleteNice that Mr. Star.....is even more amazing now.
So happy you had such a lovely day. Also I think it is very cute of Zac with all the questions and wanting to be with you. It has taken awhile with the lean in hug and little cuddles but you must know for sure now how much he will miss you when you are gone.
Not as much as I have missed you but for a little one it will be hard.
Nice that you also got to see me today..in the movies. lol
