Right, let's start this blog on a good note.
I had a good day, so let's not dwell on the small things right? I'm a little aggravated right now, but the swearing in my head will go away soon enough, and I can return to the happiness I've been feeling over the last 2 days. Yes, that sounds good.
So, I wasn't really clear on what was happening today. Heloise had told me I didn't have to get up early (like 7), because it was a holiday...but I didn't know if that meant I still shouldn't REALLY sleep in. I set my alarm for 9 o'clock. At 3:51, my cell phone woke me up. It was running low on battery and wouldn't stop beeping. I groggily rolled over, and with just the light of my cell phone guiding me, I felt my way through all of my electronic cables in search of the one USB cable to plug it in. Once I found it, I turned my computer on, plugged everything in, and went back to sleep. I was woken up again a few hours later by the regular morning chaos that goes on downstairs. I believe I fell asleep again, only to awake at 8:59. I hate that. When you wake up just before you're supposed to get up. Yes it's just a minute...but at that precise moment, that minute feels like it would have been just the right amount. Anyway, I got up, got dressed, and went downstairs. I said good morning, grabbed a yogurt and sat down at the table. Josh was apparently meant to be reading, but instead he was stalling by having a conversation with me. I finished eating, and brought my tea to the couch to watch Tom and Jerry. The TV ended up getting paused because Zach wasn't concentrating on his homework, and I sat there listening to Tim talk about the Universe and his beliefs, as he explained to Nathaniel how things "really are".
Eventually the boys and Tim went golfing. Heloise went up to get ready, so when I finished folding the laundry, I ran up to do my makeup, thinking she may want to go somewhere, and I ought to be ready. She didn't. I had already watched most of Ace of Cakes when she came back down. I didn't do much for the next few hours. Watched a bit of "Role Models", and then spoke to my Nan on the phone. Toni sent me a text and was wondering if I'd want to go to a movie, so when I hung up from my phone call, I changed, and then headed out. I met up with Toni, and the theatre was packed. We went in to get our seats before anything else. Once we got those, I went out to get our drinks and popcorn. The line up took forever, but once I realized the same guy was still standing at the front of our line, while the other was diminishing, I switched. Soon enough I was back in the theatre and watching the previews. We were watching "Bounty Hunter". When it finished, Toni and I walked to our cars, agreed we'd see a movie tomorrow, and left.
I got back to the house, and NO ONE was home! It was sooooo nice. I know that sounds terrible, but I cherish those moments of peace. I spoke to my Dad, and my Mom on Skype for a bit, and when they had to go, I turned on a girly movie. One I'd been wanting to see for quite some time. It was "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2". I sat there for the first probably hour and a half, completely enthralled. I didn't know that Dr. Avery was in it, much less that he was playing a nude model! WOW! I think that I'm in love with him. WHOVILLE! He just makes you smile the second his face is shown. He's perfect. Anyway, I was really enjoying it, when everyone got home at about 9:30. The boys, all but Nathaniel, said hi and Good Night to me. Zach even gave me a little cuddle before going up. Josh just waved and wanted to know what I was watching, but I wanted to hear what was going on, so all I said was a movie. Zach had a few questions as usual, I answered those, missed a couple of parts, but thought I'd get to watch the rest in peace while Heloise and Tim put them in bed, as it normally took a while. Not tonight. They came back down pretty much right away. For the first little bit, they had only asked what the movie was, and commented on how they'd never even heard of it, and was there a number one? They laughed, and that was that...they started reading and going on their computer, silently. That didn't last too long. They began criticizing the movie, talking about how terrible it was, how shallow the water was that people were jumping into, and how it wasn't even funny. Well...it's a good thing it wasn't funny, cuz you wouldn't really get the drama of it all if you were too busy laughing. UGH! I got so annoyed! I couldn't hear an entire scene, and parts of others. I even tried making myself look even more focused on what was going on, but they didn't take my feelings into account, and continued. The movie ended, as the swearing in my head swirled round and round. I picked up my things, put my cup in the dishwasher, and said good night.
I came upstairs, washed my face, and crawled into my warm bed to write my blog. Now I'm speaking to one of my cousins, and in moments, I'll be dreaming. Good Night xx

Nice that most of your day was a good one but funny that there was no plans for you and Heloise to do something together. Perhaps she was waiting for you to invite her to go to the movies with you. Maybe tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI think if that was me I would have stopped watching and said goodnight. Maybe they would get the hint. NOT
Guess you will have to watch it again if you want to see all the bits you missed. I don't think I have seen it but don't remember. I was trying to recall if I had seen it when AC was telling me last week she was watching it.
Hope you have a nice Easter Sunday. Hope the Easter Bunny leaves you some chocolate so you get more than just the little ones I sent with dad.
Love you lots
Miss you tons
