Day 191

Today was bittersweet. It was another interrupted sleep, as I heard Lily crying at midnight and went to see to her, but it wasn't as bad this morning as I managed to sleep until 8.

When I did get up, I received some bad news. Not in the best of moods, I got ready and went downstairs. My Dad was at my Nan's, so I grabbed a yogurt, and then headed over there. We talked to Nan for a bit, and then my Aunt and Uncle came to collect us for a walk. We stopped at the cemetery and I shed some tears. We then walked up to the grocery store and got a few essentials for dinner. We headed back to my Aunt and Uncle's, picked Nan up along the way, and we all went for coffee at a garden center. We walked around the shops there as well, and then headed back to Yaxley.

When we arrived this time, Nan came in to my Aunt's for a bit and we had some lunch. Nan went home for a sleep, and the rest of us sat around talking and doing crosswords. Dinner was at 5. I spent a good hour or so in the kitchen with my Aunt while she prepared it, and we had a good talk. When it was time for dinner, Nan had come back, and Tom joined us as well. We ate, and had a number of laughs. As soon as we finished eating, it was time to pack the car up. I knew we had to leave, but had been hoping to see a couple of friends. One of them was going to stop over before dinner, but he got stuck at work. :( The other, was next door but one. While my Dad and Nan got settled in the car, I went to see him. I got to have a quick chat, and got a goodbye hug. (I'm not sure when I'll see him again, as he's off to Canada to work for 2 months)...Figures. Sad to say goodbye, I got into the car, and drove back to Essex.

It was nice to be able to drive my Dad and Nan...but at the same time it was nerve racking having my Nan in the front seat with me. She rarely comes for the ride, so I had to make sure my driving was ok in her eyes, so that she'd come again.

When we got back (and we made good time), my Uncle and Aunt were at Heloise's helping to put the boys to bed. We all sat down together watching football after that, and once they took Nan back to their house, I went up for a shower. Now my Dad, Heloise, Tim and I are watching High School Musical 3. I'll go up relatively soon as I'm pretty exhausted. Hopefully tomorrow is a good day. I'm hoping it will be just my Dad and I for a bit, but I'll have to wait and see. And so will you. Good Night xx
