Another good day today. It started very early with the girls coming in to speak to me at 6...and I'm therefore extremely tired, and will not be making this a long blog. I read part of a story to them, and then my Aunt eventually came to get them so that I could get in the shower. I gave my Dad his birthday present, and then went downstairs to have some tea and fruit. Then we had some more tea round my Nan's. My Dad, Aunt, Uncle and I walked Anna's girls to their grandparents around 9, and stopped at the shop on the way to get them each a pencil. I gave Leila a piggy back, and am in so much pain right now, that I'm thinking it was probably not a good idea at all. :(
Once we dropped them, we headed back towards the shops. My Dad and I had a quick look around one, and then we walked back to Nan's, while my Aunt and Uncle went to visit Anna at the hospital. Then, a little later on, everyone but nan headed to Oakham. My Uncle's parents live there and had some appointments they had to be taken to today. Before my Aunt and Uncle tended to them, we all went for lunch. Then they went off, so my Dad and I walked around the shops there, and sat down for a coffee. We had a good conversation, and after a couple of hours, headed back to the car. We all drove back to my Aunt's, and shortly after getting back, my Dad and I went for dinner. It was amazing! I ate entirely too much, but I really enjoyed it, and it didn't stop me from eating the cheesecake "birthday cake" we picked up at Tescos on the way home. Shortly after we had our share, Charlie came in. Lilly was already in bed, and Leila was just going up. Nan was here watching Coronation Street, but couldn't hear it over our conversation, so Charlie walked her home so she could concentrate on it. Tom came over after boxing, and we started watching "Body of Lies". It seems to be a very good (but gory) movie, but after about an hour, I decided as I was in so much pain, and could hardly keep my eyes open, that I should come write this so that I could get more than 5 and a half hours of sleep tonight. And I fully intend to get it, so Good Night xx

Glad you had a nice day with dad. Lunch with everyone then dinner just the two of you and then everyone around for bday cake. Wish I was there.

Nope not off all week. Back to work tomorrow. Sigh. I got my Dad a really nice sweater, but it's too big so we have to see if we can exchange it. Anna had to have an operation to remove a number of gull stones. I know, I shouldn't give piggy back rides, but I'm a sucker, what can I say? xox
ReplyDeleteI wish you were here too Mom. It is nice to be able to spend some much needed time alone with him though I must say. (Not saying it wouldn't be as good with you here...That just might be too much happiness :p)
