Day 179

An 11 and a half hour sleep and I felt wonderful this morning. I was still tired when I woke up, but once I was out of bed, I was good to go.

I got dressed, and knowing Heloise had a study day and was taking the boys to school, I went downstairs for some breakfast and to do their homework before doing my makeup. Josh had already done his homework last night, but Heloise had asked him to read some more. Nathaniel finished his quickly, but she asked him to pick a book from his room and read for a while. I helped Zach practice writing his letters.

When everyone was doing teeth and hair, I came up to do my makeup, and when I went back down, I said goodbye to them and they all went on their way. I spoke to a friend I hadn't talked to in a long time on Facebook, and then I ran off to Jazzercise. I had a great workout, was sweating like crazy and was smiling from ear to ear. When I got back, I jumped in the shower and then went downstairs to get some fruit and watch American Idol. After taking notes (which you'll find at the bottom of this blog), I grabbed some raisins, made Heloise and I some tea, and started scrapbooking while catching up on the Big Bang Theory. Once I got through the 2 newest episodes, I listened to some music while I worked, and I had some lunch.

Eventually it was time for Heloise to go get the boys. I cleaned the table off, put all of my stuff away and then sat on the couch to watch a game show until they got home. When they got back however, Nathaniel had a friend with him, and Zach was waiting for his to come over. There was nothing for me to do. I asked Zach if he wanted to watch a movie with me, then if he wanted to look at a "Where's Wally" better known as "Where's Waldo" book with me, but today I wasn't good enough for him. Instead, I continued to watch the game show, and then found the Oscars. I laughed all by myself at the opening monologues, and then dinner was ready. We all ate. Zach's friend was here by now, so there was 6 of us. Josh was at his friend's house. When we finished, I helped clean up, and then went back to watching the Oscars and doing some crosswords.

Each of the friends were picked up, and then Heloise took the boys to Judo. That's when I came up to bed. While it's only a little past 6:30 now, I'm tired again, and will be going to sleep very shortly. I'll do some more crosswords while I wait to see if my Mom comes online, and then I'll be out like a light.

OH AND MOM! Tonight, I had to eat pasta with breadcrumbs (like a casserole) with olives in it. :| Luckily when no one was looking - when I was dishing up - I was able to avoid having the olives physically on my plate, but as you know...the thing about olives once they've touched any of your food...the taste travels, and it gets in your mouth :| It took a yogurt and 3 pcs of dark chocolate to get rid of that terrible taste. There are a few things that just the thought of alone make me feel sick...and olives are one of them. Yuck!

Also, John (Tim's dad)'s secretary called today to see if I'd still be here in October because Michael Buble is playing in Manchester. I had a mental lapse for a split second...but then thought, No thanks, I'll catch him in his hometown instead.

That's it for tonight, aside from my views from Idol, so if you want to read them feel free. If not, Good Night xx

Lee - Oooh Owl City, this will be good. I think he's great. It sounds a little jumpy but I'm not sure if that's cuz it's on my computer. I still really enjoyed it though. I like him.

Alex - I love love love Alex's voice, but I do wish he picked a more upbeat song. Having said that, this is a good song choice for him. It picked up a little in the middle, and he definitely knows how to sing it. I guess I just wish he'd take a little more of a risk. He's so Evan hehe.

Tim - Oh dear. I'm not sure he's picked the right song. I'll be surprised if he does Hallelujah well. You know what...this week, he knows what he's doing. Perfect song choice! This is the type of thing he should be doing on a regular basis. Up until this performance, I didn't know he had a voice. He did get a little sloppy on one note, but no one's going to focus on that after seeing that he can actually sing. I am pleasantly surprised. Good looking and a good performance. He's definitely improving. HEHE I LOVE that Ellen just ran up and gave him a hug. Awwww he's so happy! GOOD FOR HIM! Simon's awesome.

Andrew - YAY! He's gone back to doing what he does best. Christina Aguilera. I can't wait to see this. Yep, first sentence and I love it. He's so different. He's going to go far if he continues to be smart about his song choice. I really like this. The ending was GREAT!

Casey - I'm anxious to see what he does. Oooh Keith Urban! I love this song. Yep he's done it well. I really like his voice, and think this was a good choice. I like the way he changed up the chorus as well. He made it his own, and people will definitely be voting for him. He's got looks, a voice, and the country fans. I think Randy's wrong about going for something edgier because I am sure most girls watching, and some boys...just melted with that performance.

Aaron - Singing Lonestar...I think he'll do well, although the beginning did not kick off very well. It sounds like he's out of breath. Once he hit the chorus though, the confidence came out, he stood up and sang it the way it should be sung. He put feeling into it. There are some pitchy parts, but I don't think he'll go home this week. Simon really likes him I think.

Todrick - Doing Queen? Oh dear. I am not a fan of this guy. This is one of his better performances, but I still don't think he should be here. It was good...there's just something about him that I don't like. Simon's right, he's a broadway singer.

Big Mike - Eee, I don't like the way he started that. He does have a good voice. I wouldn't run out and get his album, but you can't deny that his voice is good. I am a little bored though, and he's another one that I don't like his attitude. I don't think he should have done the high notes at the beginning or the end.

Hmmm I'm not sure who's going to go home. If I was picking...solely on these performances...I think I'd get rid of Aaron and perhaps Mike or Todrick, but that wouldn't be based on this performance. They all did pretty well this episode. It's tough.

  1. I am not a fan of olives and I am sure it is not something to many people would like in a food dish but there is an olive bread here that Paul and I just love. Maybe because it is baked in the bread it has a nice flavor and not that strong.
But I do know what you mean about disliking a food so much you feel ill just saying it and that for me is .......Cream Corn..... I must go I am feeling ill!!!!!
Glad to hear you will be seeing Michael in his home town and not staying any longer then you have to!! lol
