Day 178

When I'm wondering tomorrow, how I got a bruise on my right knee...please remind me it's from jumping off a skateboard ramp.

Today was a much better day. Although I haven't been feeling well this afternoon, and I am exhausted again, it was still a lot easier to smile today than it was yesterday.

I got up and did homework with the boys, and then we walked to school. I dropped them off, and instead of going to line dancing, I went for a walk. I had decided last night that I would spend that 2 hours doing some sort of exercise, but could not bring myself to go to class. There's one woman that gets on my nerves, it's not really exercise, and I'd like to start saving my money. So when I added it all up, I decided walking was the way to go. I had brought my camera just in case I stumbled upon something to take a picture of. And I was glad I did.

I found a park and had some fun. I think I got some pretty cool pictures. Some of them were a little more painful than others...(Hence the bruise on the knee), but they were fun nonetheless. I walked back to the house, and when I arrived I showered, got dressed, watched Lost and then made some lunch ie fruit in a bowl. Yes, I normally have that for breakfast...but today I gave in and had cereal (I know what you're thinking...but it was so good! Perhaps why I'm not feeling well though). While I ate lunch I watched American Idol. I finally paid some attention to my farm, and then I went downstairs to start Nathaniel's dinner.

I washed and boiled some potatoes and set them to the side. I then put some water in a pot, ready for when I got back, and the asparagus rinsed and on a plate. I went to pick the boys up, and when we got back, I finished making Nathaniel's dinner. Josh was reading to me, but I was in pain and all of a sudden felt sick, and had to leave him. He read a bit in his head. When I came back down it was time to go. Everyone grabbed their coats and shoes, and we headed out the door. We took Nathaniel to the gate of the Beavers lodge, and off he went. The 3 of us drove back home. I folded some laundry while Josh finished reading to me, and I cleaned off the table. Heloise got back and began to make dinner while Josh and Zach played computer games, and I watched "How It's Made". I learnt how glasses, potato chips, and cheese puffs are made. I was in the middle of learning how computer chips are made when dinner was put on the table. I ate, and still feeling sick...I didn't even have room for my 3 pcs of dark chocolate :(

Heloise had left to get Nathaniel and returned by now, and her, Tim and I were now trying to get his rugby shoes on him. It was not an easy task. Josh, Nathaniel and Tim headed out to rugby, and I cleaned up a little. I then asked Heloise if she'd mind me going up right away. She didn't. We talked for a bit about how exhausted the two of us have been, and also about my rib. I came upstairs, logged in to say hi to my Mom, upload my pictures to my computer, write this and go to sleep. I've done 2 of the 3, so now to finish my pictures...

Good Night xx

Of course if you're interested in the American Idol part of my Blog, continue reading.

I didn't get to see the girls perform last week, but watching this week...here are my thoughts:

Katie - Not a good song choice at all. She sounded terrible. It's actually making me want to fast forward. Her notes are all over the place and Simon's going to tear her a new one. Seriously, this is bad. Wow Simon was really gentle with her...and they didn't think it was too bad. Hmm.

Siobhan - This is a really good performance. She's got a pretty voice. I thought that was an excellent song choice. She did really well.

Lacy -I still like the tone of her voice. I don't think I know this song. It's an ok performance, but I wish she'd pick something a little more upbeat. I totally agree with the judges.

Katelyn - She had my foot tapping. She's got a good voice. I'm still not sure about her attitude, but I do think she's got something. Not exceptional...but good.

Didi - She's got a good voice as well...I'm not sure Fleetwood Mac was the right song choice. It's just kind of like ok yeah this is good, but I could get up and make some tea and come back and I won't have missed anything. It wasn't anything special. She should have done something great at some point.

Paige - Why are they all picking such slow songs??? I don't get it. I would want to be the one to do an upbeat song and stand out. Paige's voice, again, is ok...but a performance like this is not something I could sit through for long. I'd be asleep by the 2nd song.

Crystal - Tracy Chapman...interesting. I bet you this is going to be good. Yup I like it already. She's got a great voice. She keeps you interested and that's what they all needed to do this week. She also didn't keep it slow and mellow. She gave it some power, and people are going to remember that. I think she'll definitely be safe. I think she's great.

Lily - She's singing Patsy Cline, but I bet you she still does really well. I didn't like the beginning...but hopefully she'll pick it up in a minute. Nope unfortunately I'm not enjoying this. She hits some good notes, but it's not something I'd keep on the radio I don't think. The end was much better than how she started, but it wasn't her best performance. She knew it wasn't. You can tell by her face when Randy starts speaking, and then again when Simon spoke.

I always look forward to the guy's performance more. I'm not sure why. Here's hoping it's a good night for them though.
