I have definitely had a better day today. The snow was the perfect medicine. I woke up and decided I would have to try my best to look at the brightside of things. I managed to make it downstairs with a smile, and everything went smoothly. From breakfast, to drawing, we were all happy. I love when they get their homework done at night. It makes me a much happier person in the morning, and sends them off to school in better moods.
So, after breakfast Zach sat on my lap and we began to draw, while the other 2 boys drew on their own pieces of paper. Then Zach had to break to do some of his flash cards. He did them quickly, and came back to draw. When it was time to go, everyone got their stuff on, and we went outside. It was then that I saw the first few snowflakes. There were only about 3 that I could see, but it was enough to make me smile. Josh had to look really hard before believing me that it was snowing. Off we went, through the pathways, and to the school. On our way we had a conversation, a little bit about behaviour...but judging by their reactions, it went in one ear and out the other. I'll try again tomorrow when it's just the 4 of us sitting down, and I can see that they're focused on what I'm saying. Ha! Wish me luck.
Once I dropped them off, the snowflakes got bigger. Seriously they were probably the biggest I've ever seen! It looked like someone was cutting the clouds up, and big chunks of the white fluffy things were floating to the ground. It looked magical. Of course, I had taken my camera out of my purse. I won't be doing that again! They were melting as soon as they touched down, but I was happy anyway.
When I got home I didn't feel like exercising at all. I was so tired, and had no motivation. I told myself I had to do it anyway. Well, I got changed and went into the play room...went over to the TV, and realized it wasn't plugged in. Like I needed an excuse NOT to exercise! I couldn't find the extension cord either...great! I told myself I had to look harder, and eventually I found it. I plugged the TV in and made myself do 45 minutes of Cardio. I was definitely glad I did it...but let me tell you...that trainer works you HARD! I was sweating like mad when I was finished. (I know what you're all thinking, and it doesn't need to be said :p)
I finished that, hopped in the shower, got ready and headed to Braintree. I went to the tea shop first and picked up 3 huge things of hot chocolate. The white chocolate powder that contributes to my amazing white chocolate mocha's, a "dreaming" chocolate powder that has chamomile and something else in it...can't remember what, and an orange chocolate powder. I'm a little bit excited to try them all! It'll take me 3 days though :p I also bought some marshmallows :D I'll be cracking all of that open in time for Glee. :D I then walked to the cadbury shop, and picked up some much needed dark chocolate, as well as Cadbury Cream Eggs that were on sale 12 for 4 pound something. Sounded good to me. They were cheaper than 2 boxes of 6 :p Once I got all the important things, I headed to Starbucks. I got a chai tea and a muffin, and sat there writing some cards. When I finished I looked up to see some more big flakes. I grabbed my coat, and my new mittens, and went for a walk. I went into the washroom, and by the time I came out just minutes later...WOW MY DAY JUST GOT A WHOLE LOT BETTETR!!!! Should I tell you now...or make you wait til the end of the blog? Hmm...I think I'll make you wait. So, I came out of the washroom just minutes later, and the snow had stopped. I walked to the car and drove home. The snow began again, and I smiled as I listened to my music. When I got back, I made myself some soup, tried some cous cous, which surprisingly was ok, and then I watched the newest episode of The Office.
As soon as that finished, I drove up to the post office, went in to mail my card...stood in line for about 10 minutes...and then had to leave or I'd be late for the boys. I got to the school and Heloise met up with me just before the boys were let out of class. Josh came out and said he couldn't go to soccer because he wasn't feeling well. As much as I clearly didn't want him being sick, it was kind of nice because this meant I got some quality time with him. The two of us walked home, and Heloise took the other 2 to swimming.
When we got home we got I made the two of us a hot chocolate, and we got his homework done. My mom listened to him read. He was really happy. The others got home, and then him and I played High School Musical Sing It on Wii. We broke for dinner, and then sang one more song before he had to go up to bed. They all got ready, and Zach came down for something...I'm still not sure what, but he ended up sitting with me and giving me cuddles while we looked at a couple of pictures. It was really nice. Now they're all in bed, and I'm sitting on the couch, listening to Heloise and Tim and watching some TV. Glee starts soon! I guess I've put you through enough babbling and could tell you the big news now...
