Today wasn't too eventful...but it was nice nonetheless. I woke up just before 10:30, to absolute silence. It was amazing. Yet for some reason, I still felt guilty for getting 8 hours of sleep. Disgusting. I hope I can shake that feeling when I get back to Canada. I really miss my sleep. Anyway, I got ready and went downstairs, thinking we were going to my Nan's. Turned out Charlie (My cousin) had text Tom saying he didn't need his help to move the couch. So I watched a bit of TV while Tom got ready, and then the two of us headed into town.
It was so nice to be there. It was crazy busy, but it took me back to my childhood. I love it here. I wouldn't live here forever without my family, but I certainly wish Heloise's family lived here. It's so nice to be just around the corner from Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, My Nan, and friends. Anyway, I drove to town, and our first stop was Starbucks. I ordered a Caramel Machiatto, and they didn't make it right...but for some reason I was still happy to have it in my hands. I grabbed a muffin for breakfast. I really like their skinny lemon poppy seed muffin. - Who knew?! -
Next, we went to the apple store, where Tom bought a new computer. I saw a few different things I liked in there, but it all costs in pound, what it would cost me in dollars. Honestly, I looked it up on the internet when I got home. Therefore, I'm definitely not buying any accessories or anything while I'm here. Now between Tom looking at the computer, deciding what he wanted, them telling him there was a recall on that one and he'd have to wait at least 3 weeks...and him buying a different one, we went to a few different shops. Actually, that's a lie. We walked into the mall, and went into one shop. HMV. Same thing there. All of the Wii games and movies and things are double the price here. I know I sound really cheap, but it just doesn't make sense to spend double. Not to me anyway.
So after our quick browse, we walked back to the Apple store, and out Tom came with his computer. He was pretty happy. We drove to his house and watched the Liverpool game. Then I spoke to my Dad for a bit and soon after, I walked over to my Nan's. I spent an hour with her, my Aunt came in at one point but only for a quick cup of tea. Then she jetted back home to put dinner in the oven. A little while later I headed over there, and Tom came to meet us. My Uncle made us lasagna, and afterwards he served us ice cream and wafers. I had a really nice time just sitting around talking/listening to them. It was great. A couple of hours passed, and Tom and I headed back to his place so he could grab his wallet. Then we went up to the Hotel restaurant my friend manages, and sat and had a hot chocolate with him. It was really nice to catch up with him. I was pretty quiet for the most part, but it was nice to see him anyway.
We headed back to Tom's and a friend of his and his roommate's came over. Tom and I watched them play Call of Duty for a bit, and then we ended up watching "Trading Places". There were some interesting conversations at different points of the night, and I had a good laugh. But now, for some reason, I am exhausted. So I came up to bed, and the 3 of them are still down there talking. Not sure what time I'll head home tomorrow, I'm thinking 4, but my Nan and Aunt don't like that idea, so we'll see who wins. You'll find out tomorrow night :)
Good Night xx

Nice that you have good memories of being there as a child and that it makes you smile being close to the other side of our family. It makes me happy that you have had this opportunity to be there and be close everyone there for a year. It is important. I am sure nan was so happy to see you and Auntie Linda must have enjoyed your company as well.
