Ugh what a morning! There weren't any full out tantrums, but there was a lot of me raising my voice (which I hate), and the boys freaking out and starting to cry. No actual tears ever came out...but it was a ridiculous way to start the day. It's not very nice to say, but I'm glad I'll be in Peterborough tonight. It's something I'm really looking forward to.
I got ready and did the boys breakfasts, and the freak out came, guess when...homework time. I hate it! We finished up, and I took them up to school. I asked Nathaniel if we could start off a little differently Monday. Asked if he could not be so rude, and try to remain calm. He said he'd try, but probably not (Smart ass). He said he'd think about it, and I told him he better think hard or there will be consequences. I said goodbye to all 3, and then walked home.
Just went down to clean the playroom...that put me in a good mood :| How can 3 children have SO many toys??? There's nowhere to put anything! I'm glad I won't have to find room for Zach's birthday gifts in July. Then once the play room was clean, I thought I'd at least weigh myself in, even though I don't have time to do my workout. But guess what. They've lost the wii fit game. Awesome! I'll use the scale today, but I am sure you can tell I am not having a good day. I already felt like crying earlier, and I just have a feeling nothing is going to go my way. Better go clean the bathrooms. Then I'll sit down for lunch with a mocha and fold some laundry.
Well, bathrooms are done...and might I just say...EW! Here's a bonus though...the sun has decided to show itself today! It's so bright out, and the birds are singing. As much as I don't like birds being anywhere near me, I do enjoy hearing them sing...outside...behind closed doors. Ah yes, so the bathroom. Here's to any woman who's ever had to clean a little boy's toilet. Enough talk like that though. I'm now ahead of schedule and am sitting down with my mocha and muffin, about to find directions to Peterborough and write Josh a little note about how much I've been appreciating his help.
Just finished writing Josh's letter and getting directions...the door bell rang, and MY MOM HAS MADE MY DAY!!!! I HAVE MAIL!!!! - And Ronnie Milsap is playing...how fitting - My hands are going to be warm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS MOM!!!! (For those of you who don't know, she sent me Olympic mitts :D) Time to go get ready.
So I'm in Peterborough, and am SO happy! Seriously. I love my family. I was so proud of myself for making it here, and in good time as well. I had stopped to get gas, and I got a little confused at the Stansted roundabout, (which apparently nobody here likes), but as soon as I took the wrong exit, I realized and was able to turn around and be where I needed to be almost instantly. There was another turn off that I took, because I thought that's what the directions said to do, but when I did, I thought that's not right. Luckily it was just like a slip road and I got back onto the highway right away. I passed the Little Chef that we used to go to when I was little when traveling between Peterborough and Croydon, and I had the biggest smile on my face, then came the BP! AHHHHHH I WAS IN YAXLEY! I couldn't stop smiling. I was so proud of myself. The drive was relatively easy, and I ended up in my cousins driveway soon enough :D
We came in, I met his roommate, and then we walked through the cutting to my Nan's :D From there we went to my Aunt and Uncle's, and had some lunch and some tea. It was so nice to see everyone. We spent a good amount of time there, and then walked back to my Nan's. Tom came home to do some work, and my Nan and I watched some game shows and talked a bit. After a while, just before her dinner, I decided to walk back to Tom's. Nan sent me with toffees and mints :D and laundry detergent for Tom. Nan told me I couldn't say she doesn't give me anything. Haha she's too cute! When I got back to Tom's he had to run out to get his cat that we will be watching for the weekend, and I decided to watch American Idol...finally. Later tonight I'm going out with Tom and our cousin Charlie. It should be a good time! I'm excited! For now, I'll tell you what I think of Idol.
Lee Dewyze is good. haha the tan girl came back! That's hilarious! I like the girl, Lacey, that was in the top 50 last year. She's got a cute style, and a great voice. I don't like Rachel Hubbard's voice. Blondezilla, Big Kahuna manflower was not good! I love what Simon said about him eating someone. I like Big Mike. What a good looking guy! And he's got a nice voice. Didi Benami, the girl whose friend passed away, she's good. I'd like to see her next song. Aww she's so pretty, and genuine. OMG The girl that's the drama queen...is like the girl that was on last year! The crazy chick...I can't remember her name. Ooh I like Aaron Kelly, he's good. He's the 16 year old whose mom is really his aunt. This girl wants to recycle and help kids in Africa...wow...I have a feeling she's on drugs, and she is BUTCHERING I kissed a Girl. I can't believe she just pulled her dress up that far. Katy would be disgusted. Simon's face is AWESOME when the girl whose mom had a vision sings. She's terrible! And his face says it all. Aww the girl who didn't know they were poor...I hope she's good. Yep, she is. I don't think she'll win it, but she's good enough to go to Hollywood, and has a great smile. AHHHH I can't wait for Ellen to start judging!!!!! Anyway, that's it for the auditions. Tom should be home soon, and we're going out around 8. If I get a chance, I'll write more when I get home.
So comfy in bed right now. I had my eyes shut and all of a sudden "AW S***! My Blog! I forgot to publish it". So here I am at 2 in the morning saying I had a really nice night at the pub with my cousins, then watching Inbetweeners with Tom and his roommate, but now I'm too sleepy to go into detail. Have to be up in 8 and a half hours to watch the boys move a couch. Damn. I thought I was going to get to sleep in. I probably should get up an hour before, but I'm convincing myself I can be ready in 30 minutes hahaha. Good Night xx

So glad you made it there I was sooooo worried about you driving on your own. You amaze me. So confident and driving on the wrong side of the road and the wrong side of the car and all the round abouts and getting turned around. Then being able to figure out where you went wrong and how to fix it. You take after dad for that for sure. lol
ReplyDeleteSorry your morning started off so crappy but glad you got your mittens to brighten your day. :0)
Can't believe Nathaniel said that.
So very nice of you to write that little card to Josh he will be so very thrilled that you did.

Enjoy the rest of your visit.
