Still didn't get much sleep last night. Not only did I go to bed later than I wanted to...again - my own fault -, but I was also dreaming about how much pain I was in. My legs and bum hurt SO much from my work out, it was insane :p When I woke up though, surprisingly enough, I didn't feel the pain much at all. I got a little burn in my quads when walking down the stairs, but other than that, I was fine.
I decided as there wasn't much fruit around, that I would have eggs for breakfast. Big mistake. Once the boys saw mine, that's what they wanted...so you can only imagine how cold mine were by the time I had made Josh and Zach's, and got around to eating mine. Mmm...cold eggs.
As we did homework last night, the morning was much more relaxed. I put on Michael Jackson, but the boys were a little hyper so we didn't really get to listen. Zach decided to work on his reading and couldn't concentrate too well with the music, so I turned it off and he continued with his book. He was doing really well. He was quite happy doing that, but I wanted to keep them all amused, and the noise level down to a minimum, so I asked Zach if he wanted me to read to him. He said yes, and ran up to get a book. When he returned, the two of us sat on the couch, and I began reading. Zach soon had Nathaniel at his side, and I had Josh behind my head. It was at Chapter 3 of Oliver Moon when I asked them to get ready. Once they all had their shoes and coats on, they came back to the couch to read a bit more. 10 minutes later, we headed out the door.
After dropping them off, I immediately walked up to the high street. I got some money at the bank, and then waited at the door to the institute for the Jazzercise teacher to arrive. I helped her carry in her things, we spoke for a bit, and once others arrived, we began our class. It was GREAT! It hurt like hell, but it was awesome. We did a couple of new routines, and it was amazing. Muscles I didn't even know existed were burning like crazy, and just when I didn't think I could take it any more, I'd push through the last set, we'd have a change in step for a couple of beats - just enough time for the burn to go away - and then we'd be back at the tough exercise. By the time I left, I really felt like I had accomplished something.
I walked across the street and to the co-op to pick up some juice (there's only pineapple and orange in the fridge...neither of which I enjoy), and I also grabbed some Cadbury Creme Eggs. That's the right thing to do after a workout isn't it? One of them was Mars...I had to buy that one just to try it. I walked home, and as I did, I made a miraculous change. I have decided to accept the rain. I thought "Right, I can either choose to continue hating the rain, and be in a bad mood each and every day that it happens, ie the rest of the time I'm in England, OR I can accept that it's here, it's not going anywhere, and it is what it is, and I can get on with my life". I took my hood off of my head, and continued home. Then I got on the wii fit. It told me I had lost a pound since yesterday. Wanting to see if it was accurate, I walked upstairs, thighs burning, to Heloise's bathroom where I stepped on the scale. It's the same scale I tried yesterday, and it hadn't moved, so I figure it's reading must be pretty accurate. When I stepped on, it too told me I lost a pound. Well that's good news! I'll try again tomorrow, and see if they both give me the same reading.
I hopped in the shower and washed my hair. I don't know why I decided to try and do it myself today. I thought maybe I was over exaggerating, and it would be possible. When it came time for the conditioner, I knew I had made a mistake. Number one, the shower is so tiny I'm lucky my hair fits in it. - My elbows bang against the door and the wall - Number 2, with the amount of hair I have, and how long it takes to rinse everything out...I began running out of hot water. It's a good thing I haven't been letting the hair on my legs get very long, because I was only able to shave my right one, before I couldn't stand the cold water any longer. I'll have to shave the left one tomorrow. I quickly rinsed the conditioner out, as best I could, and got out. I got ready while listening to music, and I went downstairs for some lunch. I wrote out everything I'd have to tell the doctor later, about my physio experience, and by the time I finished that, Brigitta was at the door. We were going for coffee.
Another realization came to me at coffee. Things could be much worse. As the two of us sat and talked, Brigitta was telling me horror stories of when she first arrived. In her first month of working next door, the little boy bit her, would run across the street on the way to school, wouldn't hold her hand, and she had even been locked out of the house by the two children! She was talking about how she lives with her boss, and while I do as well, it's different because if something happens, I can always go to my cousin and speak to her about it, but if something happens to Brigitta, she doesn't feel as though she is a priority to Hannah, as she is not a part of the family. How sad! There are advantages and disadvantages to each side for sure, but I am certainly glad I have yet to be bitten. *TOUCH WOOD*
When we got back from coffee, I dropped her at home so she could walk up to the school with the dog, and I drove, as I knew the boys wouldn't walk quick enough for me to get home and then to the doctors in a 30 minute time frame. I picked them up, and after dropping them off, I had 2 minutes to run in and go to the washroom. Josh was making fun of me because I had "20 minutes" before I had to be there. You see, they are not early for ANYTHING. When I brought this up on the ride home from school, saying I wanted to be at least 10 minutes early for my appointment, he told me he was early ONCE...for a football game. Apparently they thought it began an hour before it actually did, and ended up being 3 hours early. The child's been early ONCE and thinks that's enough! Anyway...my Aunt was already here to watch them, so I literally ran in, and ran out. I got to the doctors office, with perhaps 5 minutes to spare, checked in, and sat in the waiting room. I was then asked to go to the next waiting room. Eventually, I got to see a doctor. My first impression of her was not good at all, as she opened the door, and walked away from me when she said hi. She also just pointed at the chair, rather than asking me to have a seat. As I was taking my time, confused about her behaviour, she eventually spoke up and told me I could sit. My opinion of her changed as the appointment continued. We were laughing together, and she seemed genuine when speaking to me about what was happening, and me getting into a physiotherapist. So now, it's a waiting game. I will sit, and wait for my phone to ring, telling me that I can get into Physio. Apparently it's a long wait. I told her I was only here until September and she said I SHOULD get in to see someone before then. She told me if the pain became unbearable, to go back to her and she would see what she could do about bumping up an appointment. So we shall see.
I came home and had a 5 minute argument, EACH, with Nathaniel first, and then Josh. It was all about homework. You see, the fact that they did it last night, and not having to do it this morning confused them. They somehow thought that meant they wouldn't have to do it at all today. HAHA funny boys. My Aunt wasn't helping the situation as she kept saying "Well Nathaniel's done his spellings". Well that's great! But NOW, he can do his times tables! Anyway, Heloise walked in in the middle of it all, and luckily after pinning Nathaniel down long enough to get him through it, she stood up for me and told Josh that there would no longer be any tv, computer or wii after school until homework was done. THANK GOODNESS! Explaining my madness paid off! I told her things just get too hectic in the morning, and I had told them it's easier for everyone if they do it at night. I guess she agrees :D
My Aunt made us dinner, and we all sat down for pizza. When we finished, my Aunt and Heloise were clearing up, and Nathaniel sat on my lap for a good 10 minutes giving me cuddles while Josh, he and I told jokes. It was nice. Zach was almost asleep throughout the meal, so as soon as Heloise had a second, she ran the bath. I took my chance to create the most delicious WHITE CHOCOLATE MOCHA I have ever had. I was very impressed with myself. I can't wait to have another one tomorrow while I sit back to watch "LOST". Yes, I think I'll do that after line dancing...I won't need to venture to Starbucks, and that will buy me some time. That's not something we should talk about now though, or you won't have anything to read tomorrow! I said good night to everyone and came upstairs. I spoke with my Mom, have taken some time to write this, and now I'll speak to her a little bit more before I shut my eyes. Thanks for reading. Good Night xx
