"That's Maija, she's not very nice". Is not the first sentence you want to hear in the morning. Yet that's what I woke up to after 6 hours of sleep. Zach ran into my room at 8:30 this morning. I looked up, said "Zach No!" and had flashbacks of 2 weekends ago. He kept talking, but I was just trying to go back to sleep. He closed the door, grabbed his cousin of the same age, and came back. He spoke some more, and I told him he wasn't supposed to be in my room. His cousin asked who I was, and as they left the room Zach said "That's Maija, she's not very nice". Nice guy. I called after him, but he was gone. I got up, shut my door, and tried to go back to sleep...but that didn't happen.
After a few minutes of getting angry at my eyes for not staying shut, I rolled over and picked up my laptop. I searched for Desperate Housewives, and realized I'm all caught up. So I watched Human Target instead. After a while, I decided to go down and get some fruit and some juice. The house was quiet! Everyone had gone out! There was a note on the counter telling me they'd all gone to my Uncle's for a swim. That was fine with me. I grabbed my breakfast and brought it upstairs. After spending a little more time in bed, I put some music on, and started getting ready. Heloise came up to ask if I wanted to go to Cambridge with them. They were going to a pub for lunch, then the airplane museum, and then splitting up. I decided I would stay behind and take a walk. It was a beautiful day, and I had yet to take pictures around here. So that's exactly what I did.
I grabbed a stool, stuffed in a bag, took my camera, and walked out the door. I started at the front of the house, then walked through the paths to the park where a soccer game was being played, and not too much later, I made my way back through the paths and to the church. It was really nice. Just me and my camera, and some super nice scenery. I was enjoying myself. It was a little cold so I kept my mitts on, luckily though, I was still able to push the buttons on the camera.
I came home, and as I walked towards the house, my camera began to die. Good timing. I put the battery in the charger, and made my way downstairs with my computer and a movie. I sat on the couch, and began to watch "My Best Friends Girl". I was cold, as usual, so when my Dad called, I decided I would pause the movie, and make some hot chocolate. I spoke to him and my Mom for a bit, and then went back to watching my movie while speaking to my Mom on msn. Before I got to the end, Tim came home with the 3 youngest children, and his brother, and his wife. I turned the movie off. I'll have to watch the rest if I get some alone time tomorrow.
I spent a lot of time downstairs tonight. I watched "Drop Dead Fred" - a classic! Then "Get Smart" came on. I tried to watch that, but don't think I managed to hear a single sentence. Heloise came home and put 2 sleepy boys in their beds, and then came down to speak with everyone. The guys went to get Indian, and I made myself some popcorn for dinner. I ate that while chatting online, and "watching" the movie. Then "Bedtime Stories" came on :) Tim and I had a small argument about Adam Sandler, luckily his brother was siding with me. I could hardly keep my mouth shut the more Tim insulted Adam Sandler's movies. How can you judge a movie you've only seen 10 minutes of? And he probably didn't hear any of it in that time span! He was saying "Punch Drunk Love" was terrible. I'm guessing it's because it's a movie you have to concentrate on, and that's not something you get to do in this house. Tim can't sit still long enough. Anyway, I enjoyed my movie, and the guys eventually played Cricket on Wii for a while so Heloise watched with me. She seemed to like it as well. That finished and during the credits, Tim began insulting Journey. REALLY?!?!?! I said how good the song that was playing was, and then I shut my mouth. It wasn't worth it.
A few minutes passed, and I decided, as I was freezing and getting sleepy, to come up to my room. I got ready, and crawled into bed. I spoke to my Sister on Skype, and the two of us watched a couple of episodes of "Aliens in America" together. We're supposed to try to do it tomorrow as well. It was nice :) Once that finished, I decided it was time to type this. Now that I'm finished, I'll sign out of everything, and be asleep very shortly. I'm hoping to get more than 6 hours of sleep tonight..but I'm not holding my breath. Maybe i should move my bedside table in front of my door...hmmm. Anyway, off I go. Good Night xx
PS I keep getting this crazy sharp pain in my head. I'm hoping it'll be gone by tomorrow.

Oh great....great way to make me worry by signing off that you are getting a crazy sharp pain in your head. Thanks a lot I am guessing I won't get much sleep now unless I get to talk to you before I turn out my light.
ReplyDeleteUp until this point and taking away Zacs horrible comment that you are going to have to talk to him about it sounds like you had a lovely day. Well excluding Tim as well. Your pics are wonderful and what a gorgeous day to be out and about on your own. I think you should go back to that park with Josh and do a whole tatty teddy day like you did with Matt. He would have a great day with you taking pics there.
Hope you put your end table in front of the door and got to sleep in.
If you are reading this and have left me a comment I will know that the pain has past and I don't have to worry.
OMG what if you don't comment.
I sure hope I get to speak to you soon.
Love you lots
Miss you tons
Hope you are ok

ReplyDeleteWell, I will try again. Wrote a long comment again last night and LOST IT!!! ahhhh
ReplyDeleteHow awful to start your day with a comment like that!!! Just when you think things are getting better BAM they blind side you again with something like that!! I hope you put that table in front of your door!!
Great pics!! You do have the eye!! I enjoyed them, missed your great talent since you got home from Africa.
Sorry to hear you are always so cold in that house!! You need one of those barley bags to heat up and have when you get a chill and put it in your bed at night before you get in!
Those pains in the head every now and then can be a surprise. Don't know what causees them but they never last to long.
Hang in there!
Love
Cindy....xoxoxoxox
Lets try this again!!
Hmm I'm not sure why you keep losing your comments Aunt Cindy.
ReplyDeleteNo table in front of my door...but I SORT of prevented the early wake up call.
Thank you :D I love taking pictures.
I actually have a tatty teddy that you can heat up, but I always forget to heat him up.
xoxox
That would be very nice a warm tatty teddy.
ReplyDeleteYou should do that. Even if you warmed him up to sit with you downstairs in the day or the evening and keep you warm in your fleece while watching tv.
Just a thought.
Love you
Mom
