Day 136

Oh where does the time go? Ah yes, today 2 hours of it went to LINE DANCING! But I'm getting ahead of myself here. Let's rewind.

Out of bed and ready to go. I came down to have my cereal. - MY LAST BOWL OF CEREAL FOR THE REST OF MY STAY HERE! - I know, kind of a big deal! I was going to take it out of my diet at the beginning of next week, but considering I finished the box off today, I thought, what a perfect way to cut myself off. SO let's see what kind of withdrawal I have in the next few days.

The boys were having their breakfast, and you know how someone looks, and waits for you to screw up...just so they can point it out? Well that happened yet again today. Luckily though, I did not screw anything up. Nope, the person was making an assumption, and I in turn, made them look like the fool. I was quite proud of myself. I like to stick up for myself every now and then. It's that whole element of surprise thing. Make people think they can walk all over you, and then one day...WHAM! That's right! I do have something to say!

Anyways, got through the homework routine and out the door with plenty of time to spare. It was another cold walk today. Our hands were freezing. When I checked around 10, it was only 1 degree!!! I'm not going to lie though, I'm so warm right now while everyone else is freezing. Why? Because it's the beautiful cold us Canadians/non Vancouverites know. Anyway, when we arrived at the school, Josh remembered that he had guitar today. Only problem? The guitar was sitting in the breakfast room at home. After signing them up for parent/teacher interviews and hoping that I booked okay times, I walked home, got the guitar, and drove back. I dropped the instrument at the office, then double checked the interview times to see if I should make any changes, and although I'm sure something will be wrong with it...I left it and drove to the bank. I made an appointment to go back next week and open a new account. After driving home, I tossed some stuff in the house, grabbed a water and walked up to my newest activity.

I was first there, other than the instructor and her daughter, and I was excited! I spoke to them for a bit, and when they asked if I had any experience at all...I told them the only line dance I knew was the Electric Slide...and that's where my knowledge comes to a halt. She told me that was fine and that she didn't know that one, but knew many people that did. 2 hours and a few mistakes later I was finished my first class, and had a smile on my face. Some of the dances are crazy hard. I can do them as she's teaching you the steps, but as soon as she turns on the music and we speed it up...I'm a mess. Luckily I wasn't the only one to start today, and I was doing better than the other 2. For the Intermediate dances they'd sit out. I'd learn the steps, and then attempt it. If I knew once the music came on, that I couldn't do it, that's when I would watch from the side. The instructor seemed to be impressed with me, and everyone in the class was really nice. I'm looking forward to next week. We learned a dance to Jai Ho (FINALLY MOM!), Candy Man, and a few others. None that I can remember at this moment - they're all a bit of a jumble -...but I'm sure they'll come back to me individually next week.

I left there and walked home. I then did my 15 minutes with the Wii Fitness Coach, hopped in the shower, and headed out to Starbucks. I decided to go the way everyone else goes today. Thinking well, I did it last time no problem, I'm sure I can today. Well...with that in mind, it doesn't mean that you should try it without reading the signs. I ended up turning the wrong way, and having to turn around moments later. Oops. At first I was a little frustrated with myself, but then I thought about how everything happens for a reason, which lead me to think about a certain scene in Benjamin Button (That I won't describe in case you haven't seen it), and I thought who cares if it takes me a few minutes longer to get there. There's probably a reason.

I eventually arrived, got my tea, and drove home (my normal way), to write this and watch some TV shows I need to catch up on. Well...I've written this...but I don't have time to watch the shows as I have to leave to get the boys soon. I figure after my haircut (just a trim), and dinner tonight, I'll go up to my room and spend a couple of hours watching what needs to be watched. I'll then add to this blog :) Speak to you then.

Since we last spoke...or I last typed, I have accomplished a bit more. Still have yet to watch my TV Shows, but that's coming soon. I picked the boys up from school, and came home to make Nathaniel some dinner before Beavers. He complained about green pepper as Heloise showed up, and he didn't end up having to eat it. She drove him to Beavers, and I did a bit of a crossword while "watching" Scooby Doo with Zach. I HATE Scooby Doo. Always have, and always will.

I then drove to get my hair done. It was raining so I certainly didn't want to walk there. I showed up early, but she took me almost right away. Well, it's been washed, cut, blow dried (by 2 people), and flat ironed...and I don't think it's right :( I kept trying to get her to layer it properly, but I still don't think she ended up doing it the way I was hoping. There's only so many times you can say "Could you please cut it on an angle?" or "Could you cut these pieces a little shorter?" So I'm hoping after the next wash, it'll look alright. I paid, tipped, and left. I cannot believe the price of getting your hair cut here! I miss Danielle. She would have done it properly, and for the same price in dollars, as it was in pound. Sigh.

Anyway, I got home and Heloise had made a salad for me. It was delicious. I ate and watched her and Zach work on his reading and then play a bit. It was really nice. She took him up to bed, and I came up to watch my shows :D That being said, HERE I GO!

Good thing I found that last 8 minutes of Grey's Anatomy! I would have been so lost without it! American Idol is next...are you ready for my picks from LA?

The guy that wrote his own song, has 3 kids and is a pasture, was really good. I couldn't believe Avril said no to him, and all because of his career? Who are they to say that he has to continue what he's doing instead of becoming a singer? I'm glad they let him through in the end. Mary Powers - the rocker with the 8 year old daughter...she wasn't AMAZING, but she was good. I LOVED Andrew Garcia. I knew from his first note that he was going to be great. He's the one whose parents were members of gangs when they were younger, and he sang Maroon 5. He's gonna do great. Tasha - the Southern Belle was cute. Ok, but not great. I believe Chris Golightly - the foster child, will go far. I was almost in tears not just because of his story, but when he sang, I do honestly think he has talent, and I thought that it was sad no one would be there to congratulate him. I was happy when it showed he had friends there though. Then there was a good looking guy at the end, in a green shirt. It didn't show him singing, but he was very good looking and made it through, so we'll have to wait and see what his voice is like :D And of course, Katy Perry, she was the guest judge, and she was awesome! Now, for the ones that were terrible! Neil Goldstein - the 19 year old that Simon hit with the door...Are you kidding me??!?!? Then he walked into the sign. Do you really think the door was Simon's fault? Damien the Martial Arts guy...MY GOD! What are these people thinking?!?! They are NOT even remotely talented. The guy that said he'd be the result if Susan Boyle and Adam Lambert got together, was hilarious. Terrible, but made me laugh. As for Austin - I thought he was going to strip. Was his outfit plastic? Yikes! I loved the way Simon said "No it's not" when he said it was his purpose in life, and the way Katy said no to him. She's awesome. The show needs another honest person like Simon. Anyway, that's my views on that. Going to watch the end of the Man U game now, and then probably go to sleep. I'll have to catch up on the rest tomorrow. Good Night xx

  2. I have not seen that episode yet so I am not sure about any of that but Virgin radio did go on and on today about Damien and his nemasis. (sp).
I would like to know who was waiting for you to screw up today and what all that was about.
that was like someone saying to you OMG guess what....and then not finishing their sentence!!!

Nice of you to get Josh's guitar for him. I am sure it would have really worried him all day about the consequences or what would have happened if someone else had of taken him to school and he had realised it was guitar day.

I will watch this episode tomorrow sometime I hope. Then we can discuss.
