6:30 - Rise and Shine!
I was surprisingly awake. I had at first, tried to go back to sleep until 7...but then, worried I wouldn't be ready on time, I jumped out of bed and got myself ready. When I went into the washroom, I noticed Jerry's bum was getting a little bigger. Now, I'm not judgemental. If Jerry wants to get fat, that's entirely up to him. It's if Jerry's having babies that will create the problem.
I finished getting ready and headed downstairs. Nathaniel and Josh were so into the TV they didn't notice me sitting at the table eating, until I said something. It made Josh jump out of his skin. They had no idea we were going to Bristol, which lead me to believe there was NO WAY we were leaving at 7:30. Nathaniel asked me for some breakfast, but I told him he had to wait until I was done mine. (I know that sounds terrible, but I think on my day off, I should be allowed some non soggy cereal. Anyway, Tim came down soon enough and got breakfast for everyone. I went into the kitchen and said to Tim "I've been allowing this spider to live in my bathroom for about a week now, but as it's getting bigger, I'm afraid it will have babies and was wondering if you could put it outside. When you get a minute". His answer? "Our spiders don't do anything". PARDON? He repeated himself, and more calmly than expected, I said "Oh, I know that...I was fine with the one, I just don't want hundreds of little ones crawling around". He didn't really have an answer, and in my head I was screaming "I KNOW THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING! THAT'S WHY I DIDN'T ASK YOU TO KILL IT!" Anyway, I went up to do my makeup, and heard everyone getting into the car. No one had called me, so I continued doing what I was doing. Thinking "maybe they'll leave without me? No...they wouldn't do that". I finished gathering my things, and went downstairs. Heloise was coming back in, and asked if I was ready. I was. I waited for her to do what she was doing, and we went out to the car together. (Oh, and before heading back downstairs, I checked on the bathroom. Jerry was still there). We sat in the car, but things were forgotten, so as we sat and waited, there was a trip back to the house. We ended up leaving at about 8...which isn't too bad.
We weren't allowed to listen to the music :| (The boys were watching movies, and Tim - driving, had his Ipod in). THANK GOD something made me pack my ipod. I put my headphones in and soon fell asleep. I woke up to Tim complaining that he'd taken the wrong turn. We stopped at a gas station and Heloise ran in for some drinks and food. The drive continued. My Ipod died while I was drifting off listening to Across the Universe. When we finally arrived in Bristol, I saw Windsor Castle. Apparently that's where the Queen is currently living, because the flag was up. We drove to my cousin's place, and I finally met the baby! Emily. She's about 2 months now, and she's gorgeous :D I got my fill of baby cuddles! Ok, maybe not my fill...I wanted to bring her home. I told Heloise and Tim that that was all I needed to keep me warm in their house. Josh told me to have my own. - Thanks Buddy! -
We sat around talking, and Tim took Josh to get a trim at the hair dresser's down the street. Well...don't send Tim to supervise a trim. Although he claims to have said trim to the hair dresser...Josh's beautiful hair is gone. It wasn't very nice for Josh because when he walked in Heloise said it looked terrible, and I turned to Heloise and said it's a little Tinkerbell ish. (Thinking Pixie like). The more I looked at it, the more I realized he looks like a girl playing Peter Pan. I kept my mouth shut, and thought about how he might be feeling. I asked if he liked it, and when he said yes, I said well that's all that matters. As the day went on, it sort of grew on you...but I still prefer his longer hair. Sarah (My cousin's wife) made us lunch, and we had all been sitting down when Josh came into model the cut. When everyone was done with lunch, we headed to the Zoo. Their zoos are nothing like ours. They have this major play area (partly new), that Josh and Nathaniel decided they would try. It was this aerial thing. You got into a harness, and then walked across suspension bridges and ropes and things. It looked cool. Nathaniel panicked and started to cry at the beginning, because he hates heights. But he had said he wanted to go, and that he didn't need an adult. So he stood there waiting for the instructor who was really nice, and went out and did the entire course with him. When the two finished, zip wiring themselves back down to the ground, we continued looking at animals. Monkeys, Lemurs, a Red Panda! <-- They're so cute! Then we saw some seals and that was about it. We headed back to the car park. Sarah took the stroller from me so she could load the car, and we all went back to their place for dinner.
We talked, and the boys played. I got more baby cuddles, and then we ate. Soon after dinner we left for the 3 hour ride home. A 3 hour ride that would include no music whatsoever. FORGET THAT! About half an hour into the drive, I opened my laptop, plugged in my headphones, and listened to my music on there. I fell asleep but was feeling like a bag of dirt so I kept waking up. Not to mention, although Tim had his Ipod in, and everyone else was asleep...any time anything happened on the road, he spoke loudly enough to wake Heloise and I up. We would respond, and I assume she fell back to sleep as quickly as I did. We got home at about 11:30, I helped unload the car, and came right up to bed. My room was freezing so I put my heater on and got under the covers. I didn't have time to write my blog then because of how I was feeling, and I wanted a decent sleep. I tried to lie on my right side...It wasn't having it. DAMMIT! I guess I'll be looking into Physio here :( Soon enough, after turning onto my left side, I fell asleep. xx

So happy you got to meet Emily and got baby cuddles. You will have to arrange to go up there by train on your own and stay with them every so often for a weekend or two. Then more baby cuddles. You did not mention how Ben and Joe were????
ReplyDeleteDid you take any pics at the zoo???
I am so sorry to hear that you are in such pain with your rib again. Hope you get the physio thing all sorted out.
Hope Jerry was still there when you got home and did not explode or implode for that matter.
Love you lots
Miss you tons

Ben and Joe are doing well. Such cutie pies. I took a picture of both of them that I will send you, or post on Facebook. I ran out of battery before the zoo (oops). I took a couple of Nathaniel on the aerial thing, but that's about it.
ReplyDeleteJerry was and is still in my bathroom.
Love you and Miss you so much.
