Day 125

Right now I'm sitting here waiting to have dinner. I have a huge headache, and it's probably because it's 10 to 9, and I have yet to eat. Do I go in and start making something for myself? Or do I wait until whatever they're making (Chili I think) is ready?

Today was a LONG, fun, crazy, loud, annoying day. Haha. First, the annoying part. 11 boys running up and down the stairs that lead to your room. *CLARIFICATION* 11 boys under the age of 9, running up the stairs that lead to your room. This happened around 6:30 this morning. AWESOME! I was woken up a number of times, and managed to fall back to sleep a few times...but eventually, I gave up. I decided to wait in my room, until I heard most of them leave for soccer. Then, I heard my Uncle show up, which meant Zach and Nathaniel were leaving as well. That's when I ventured downstairs to get my breakfast. I finished and went back upstairs just in time. It wasn't long after I shut my door, that I heard all of the boys return from soccer. And there were many more to come. Those ones though...I would have to be prepared for. That is after all, where the madness would be at it's peak.

I stayed in my room until 12:22. Knowing the plan was to leave at 12:30. When I went downstairs, Josh commented on the fact that it was 12:30...implying that I had only just gotten up. I told him other wise, and made it known later, that on weekends, I can stay in my room all day if I want...it doesn't mean that I'm asleep. (My family here doesn't understand sleeping in, so even if I did get the chance to do it, I would not tell them what time I actually woke up). Of course, no one was ready, and we were still waiting for some kids to arrive. As they showed up, I ushered them in. Eventually, we were all in the cars, crisps and drinks in each of their little hands, and we set off at about 1. Unfortunately I was in a car with one of Josh's MOST annoying friends. A lot of his friends are sweet hearts, they really are. But this one child...no one can stand. He's got such an attitude and is so rude. I wasn't afraid to give it right back to him though. Unlike everyone else, I'm not afraid of what his mother thinks of me. The child needs some manners. Anyway, Heloise said I was in charge of the music as we were going to be in the car for about an hour, and knowing that she enjoys Hedley as much as I do, I put that on. Of course this child had something to say about it. "Don't we have anything other than rock?" he said first. Then it was "Don't we have something like Abba?" Although I just wanted to turn around and tell him to shut up, I responded with a simple "No". He later asked if we could put something they knew on. I told him you only get to know songs by listening to them. He didn't have a comeback for that comment.

When we got to Spy Masters...it didn't look very promising. In fact...it looked like a hole in the wall. We walked in, and I had the same feeling. Up to the party room we went, and a few bathroom runs - with a number of children - were made before we set off on our mission. There were probably 4 different groups. Josh, Nathaniel, Archie, his dad Andrew, and I were all together. Our "leader" took us to the helicopter. We sat there and watched a video about our mission as the box we sat in shook. It was very cool. The door opened, and out we got. We had to zip line our way to the other side of a room. From there, we had to jump down the hatch. We came - very quickly - to a floor that was pressure padded which meant you couldn't step on it or the alarms would go off. We had to climb on the wall, with small pieces of wood framing holding us up. We got over that, had to enter a security code to open a door, and had to block out the cameras. We searched for a password to get into the computer, but were unsuccessful. Luckily it was something we didn't really need. - You only had 10 minutes to complete each room so you had to move quickly - From there, we moved to another room that we didn't get done. We weren't doing so good. Then, our luck started to change. - I may get some of these in the wrong order, as I don't remember what was where...but you'll get the idea - We had to go to another room where you needed a code to get in. One person had to crawl through a doggy door sized opening, and unlock the door for another person to go into the hall. That person then had to be directed by the rest of us, as they used a computer mouse to deactivate some lasers that we had to get through. The computer screen was facing us. That was frustrating lol, but we got through it. Once those were deactivated we got in, got what we needed and ran to the next room. We opened the door, and had to
deactivate the next camera, and have someone climb up some wood planks, and over to get a key off a hook. The key would then turn off the lasers in the doorway. Without realizing someone needed to stay behind with the key, we all ran to the next room. We searched for codes we needed under computer desks and such. Archie scanned his face, and we got a new code. Unfortunately because no one was standing on the other side with the key...the lasers in the doorway reactivated. We all had to run back through extremely quickly in order to not set off any alarms. We opened the next door with a face scan and our new code. We got to another area where we had to a number of different things, from climbing to pushing buttons in a certain order, and walking very carefully, then crawling through a small tunnel. We went into another room where there was a huge safe. I cracked it with about 6 different codes, and we opened a drawer to find a password and some clues about where the guns we needed were. We ran out of there with plenty of time to spare. Then we came to a hallway. It was very foggy, and there were lasers everywhere. We had to crawl and bend over and through them. It was awesome. We got to this place where the guns were. We had to send one of the boys through the vent to hold a button down to deactivate lasers in a window, then someone had to stick there head through that to deactivate the lasers in the doorway. The rest of us went through the doorway. I had to hold the button down for the child in the vent while he crawled back through and came to join us. We undid the safe, grabbed guns for everyone, Andrew took his head out of the window, and then I took my hand off the button. We got out of that room safely, and had to shoot out cameraas and pressure floor targets in the next room. We climbed over barrels, on planks of wood, and over mesh, to another tunnel. We went through there and came to a hall. We then had to blast a door open with a bomb we were given. Through that door, up several ladders, and to a slide. We slid down the slide, and to the debriefing room where we found out how we ranked. We got 250 points which is classified as a Class 3 Spy. Kind of a big deal. We walked out of that room, and were handed our Spy cards. That part of the day was over.

Our car was the first load to leave, as we had to get back to make dinner for the rest of them. When we arrived, I went next door to get our pizzas out of their fridge. Then, it was time to get the boys to be quiet. HAHA! That wasn't an easy task. But I managed to succeed. I put Star Wars on for them, and after giving a few looks, they understood that they had to calm down while Heloise made dinner. The first batch of pizzas were made, and that group headed into the dining room to eat. While they began, the next group arrived home, and so on. After dinner it was desserts, and once all that was done, and the table was clear, I helped Tim occupy them with some games. No one had heard of hand shake murderer! WHERE AM I?!?!?! I thought everyone knew that game. As they were playing that, and then different variations of that, parents began arriving to collect. This is the part I found VERY weird! When the kids were leaving, that's when they got their cake! And this isn't the first time I've seen it happen. I think it's a normality at parties here. You get a slice of cake wrapped in a napkin on your way out the door. So random! Anyway, the numbers dwindled, and eventually, it was just Tim and Heloise, their friends with their son, and the boys and I. The boys wanted to play wii, so we played Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics. I won everything :D I then let Zach take over my controller, thinking dinner would be ready soon. That's when I began this blog.

Eventually, the boys went up to bed, and we all sat and ate. When we finished, we watched a bit of Twilight so that Becky (Heloise's friend) could see Edward (A must for all females)...and then I put in "The Hangover". Not sure what they'd think of it, I was a little worried to put it in. We of course couldn't hear it all, because everyone in this household or related in some way to this household, speaks during movies...but all in all, they really enjoyed it. They laughed a lot, and thought it was cleverly done. I was so happy to hear that. As soon as it finished, I grabbed my laptop, and came up to bed. Now that I'm finished writing this, I'm going to say Good Night to my Mom, and hopefully get a good night's sleep. YEAH RIGHT! Hahahaha. Oh and I've just found out I don't have next weekend off...and I think the weekend after that is Nathaniel's birthday party. Oh My Lord :| Good Night xx
