I'm sitting here watching "Litte Red Tractor" with Zach. When this is done, the two of us are going to watch "The Lion King". I can't wait. It's my favourite! The reason I've started tonight's post now, is because I'm later going to Toni's panto, and I don't want to be up forever after that. Knowing I have to watch last night's episode of American Idol when I get home...I thought this was the best way :p
I didn't want to get up again today. It was very hard. I made myself do it though. I knew there was no soy milk, but I thought, once I was ready, that I would check the fridge just in case Tim or Heloise picked some up. No such luck. Oh well. I didn't have to get much of the boys' breakfast today. Tim did most of it. I sat at the table, dishing out rules as usual, and telling the boys "off" for doing things they shouldn't have been doing. Luckily I got to speak to my Mom as well. The unfortunate part is I wasn't in the greatest of moods with everything that was going on...so it wasn't the best conversation she's ever taken part in, I am sure.
When they finished eating, and after we finished up with homework (they didn't do it all last night, but honestly...who's shocked about that?), I ran up to get my coat, and Josh helped to get Zach and Nathaniel ready. He's really learning to step up and take some responsibility. He is a great little guy. The 4 of us headed out. The door open, the rain pouring down...we were being very brave. No car meant trudging through mud and puddles, and getting drenched. You see, I didn't realize it was raining, so I was less than prepared. - By the time I got home, I would be wishing I had of worn my wellies - I dropped the boys off, and got all of my hugs (which is always nice), and off I went. Due to the soy milk fiasco...well to me it was a fiasco, to you, maybe not...I braved the water for a little longer, and walked the long way, around to the co-op to pick some up, and then home. When I got back, I turned the heat on, cuz there's no way I was going to sit through the morning freezing my bum off...and I sat down at the table. I had some cereal, and I said hi to my brother. Monika came to clean soon enough. We had a quick chat about "Eclipse", and then she went to work. I drew a bit, and then watched Desperate Housewives. A little later, I was playing DS. Solving puzzles in this one game, is my favourite thing to do. I switched the TV on, and began multi tasking. British "Don't Forget the Lyrics"!!!!!?! Yes Please! I tuned in, and did my best to get the correct lyrics. I must tell you...I did very well! Toni came over, and we tried to figure out lyrics together. By then though, the guy who was doing very well had walked away with 10,000 pound, and we were on to some crazy lady who was picking some rubbish songs. She had very easy ones at first, and it wasn't a challenge...then she had one I only knew the chorus to. The show ended before she was through, so we'll have to tune in next time to see how she does. OH! AND! Before Toni arrived, I finally found out what channel Ellen is on, and when!!! I was so happy!!! I have a feeling we're 2 years behind though. The girl sitting on the stage was holding the George Watch of '08 sign. Dammit! Anyway...lyrics ended, and Toni and I walked up to get Zach.
For the first time ever, he had been let out early :( Michelle had him Thank God. I felt terrible. He didn't seem to mind. All he wanted to know was why I didn't have a car. We walked back home, this time a little more prepared with our wellies on and carrying umbrellas. Mind you...Zach didn't have his wellies on, because once again, his teachers forgot to switch his shoes. When we got home Toni and I were in the kitchen while I made Zach's lunch. He was at the table doing his workbook. Lunch was made, and Toni had to leave, so I made some soup for myself. Zach was done eating by the time I had a chance to sit down, so he came in the family room to watch Pirates of the Caribbean. I ate my soup, and when I finished, the two of us worked on his book together. After that, as he was on my lap, I told him we had to talk. We had a discussion about how he treats me when his mom gets home. He told me it was because if he cuddled me when she was around, she would ask why she didn't get cuddles anymore. I explained that I don't necessarily need his cuddles when she is around, I just need to be treated better. I made sure he was listening, and explained that there are days where I feel as though he hates me. He couldn't seem to believe it. I told him I was almost crying last night, and he looked at me and asked why. We discussed it, and in the end he has told me that he will try to be better. We shall see if any of this worked. I do love to hang out with him, just the two of us. Anyway, then he asked me to make him a spaceman mask. When he saw I was looking at costumes on the internet to get ideas, he became very interested and wanted to see all the different types of costumes you could have. He's got his Christmas list started :p We also watched a couple of Transformer costumes in action, and then a video on how candy canes are made. It was after that that he chose "Little Red Tractor". He's now watched about 4 episodes, and I am guessing we won't be watching "The Lion King", as the boys and Heloise will be home very soon. And on that note, I'm going to shut the computer down. I will write more when I am back from the Panto.
K so I haven't left yet. Heloise came home with Nathaniel and a friend of his, and Josh had gone to a friends for dinner. Zach and I finally turned on Lion King, but it was just as the boys and Heloise got home...so you can imagine how much of that I saw. Zach's friend Arthur showed up, and the 3 of us tried to watch it...but Zach wasn't too interested, and I helped Heloise put some groceries away, so I missed quite a bit of it. We ate dinner, and then Heloise had to take Nathaniel to get Josh and drop them at their other friend's for Judo. The dad hadn't got the message though, and he showed up here looking for them. She came back with her two, they jumped in his car, and off they went. While that was all happening Brigitta and Arthur's sister Rosie came to pick him up. Now Zach and I are watching Tom and Jerry while Heloise deals with some birthday party plans for tomorrow. My aunt will get here around 7, and then Heloise and I will head to Silver End for the Panto.
So I've just got home from the Panto, and I am shattered! Although I made promises about watching American Idol, there is no way I can do that right now. I'm only going to get about 6 and a bit hours of sleep as it is. I will have to watch it tomorrow while I wait for the grocery delivery, and I will report on it then. Until that time, Good Night. xx
PS - The Panto was great!

I am very glad you enjoyed the pantomime (sp) after all the waiting you did.
ReplyDeleteI am also glad you had your heart to heart with Zac. I can't believe he said that he treats you like that cause his mom wants to know why she doesn't get cuddles anymore. Talk about confusing a poor little guy.
We will have to discuss our favories on AI once you have watched it. I have a few. lol

I have a feeling Zach was making that bit up. He tends to tell lies to get out of getting in trouble.
