Day 115

I'm sitting downstairs watching Two and a Half Men, and thinking I drank those 4 cups of tea, entirely too fast! Uggggh. Never a good idea. I suddenly feel light headed, sleepy, and a little bit sick.

Today was a really good day though. I woke up at 6:30, and thought is it time to get up already? Then I thought, ooh I wonder if there's snow out there, and school's canceled...can I go back to bed? Then...it was WAIT A SECOND...IS THERE SNOW???? I jumped out of bed, and carefully - in the dark - but quickly, went over to the window. There was snow blanketing the ground! That was all I needed. I was getting ready and was so happy. I couldn't stop smiling.

I went downstairs, and got Nathaniel some breakfast. Tim got the rest of the boys theirs. I helped them do their homework, and drew a picture. When it was time to leave, I was excited. Heloise has a pretty relaxed month, so she'll be around a lot. She came for the school run. We walked through the snow, and I took lots of pictures. The boys were having a great time. We dropped them off, and I created a snowball in the playground. I continued to build on it on the way home. When we got back, Heloise went inside, I stayed out.

3 hours later, I had built a snowman, then a snowdog. Had my first snowman come crashing down, and built another one. I had also had the lady in the house next door, come out and comment on how crazy I was. My answer? "I'm Canadian". She told me I was keeping them entertained as they watched from the window. Hahaha. I also had some random person taking pictures of me, and a guy commented on how good I was at building snowmen. Then, it was time to go get the boys. Zach was done at lunch because that's the way his schooling's going to work for the next few weeks...and Josh and Nathaniel's classes were cancelled in the afternoon due to the snow. So Josh, his friend Charlie, Zach and I began to walk home, while Heloise waited for Nathaniel and Charlie's sister Holly, to finish lunch.

It took the 4 of us a while to get home, because we were having a snowball fight as we walked. When we arrived, the boys came in to get changed, and have some lunch. Heloise arrived shortly after with the other 2. They had lunch, and I uploaded some pictures from my camera, to my computer. I promise I'll post them tonight.

SIDE NOTE - I'm sitting here watching TV, and Tim has just vetoed my watching "Mean Girls"! :( Instead, we're now watching Fawlty Towers. Not the same at all.

After the boys ate, they got their winter clothes on, and went outside. I had some soup, and met them in the back. We decided to go have a snowball fight in the field. I then suggested we make forts, and we went to work. Nathaniel, Zach and I building one, and Josh and Charlie building the other. (Holly was watching TV inside, but she came out to join us a little while later). When their mom came to pick them up, the boys and I came inside. They had dinner, and I was supposed to be going to see Sherlock Holmes, so I went upstairs to wrap some presents. (I don't eat dinner when I go to the movies). Toni text me apologizing cuz she's sick. We didn't go to the movie, but I still enjoyed some popcorn.

The boys went up to bed, and I began my blog. I'm sitting here watching TV, even though I should be asleep. The boys have the day off tomorrow, and there's going to be a lot of playing outside. Maybe I should go get ready for a long, fun, tiring day. Good Night xx

  3. Haha yeah things stop around here when it snows Aunt Cindy. You would laugh if you saw how much is around the house. Further North is "worse" though. I would have cried if we missed all this snow I think.

Yes Josh thanked me yesterday for playing out there with him. I turned around and said No, thank you! I had been out there for 3 hours alone before you guys got home from school. Lol.

I can't wait to see it!!! Yay for Saturday!
    Love and Miss you too!
