Day 111

I woke up this morning...I think around 5:30 to Zach screaming about something. But I quickly went back to sleep. Woke up a couple more times, but didn't actually rise until 8:30. I got ready and went out for breakfast. It was delicious as usual, but I am honestly really looking forward to getting my will power back. There's no way people can be happy when they start gaining weight.

Anyway, once we ate, it was decided we would go to the beach. We had to leave quickly, or it would be too busy. Well...that didn't happen. Another 30 mins or so passed, and we finally got into the car. We drove to one beach, but it was too busy, so Tim decided to drive to a different one. We got to Bikini Beach, and he dropped us off and went to find a parking spot. We laid on the beach until Tim arrived, and then Josh, Nathaniel, Zach, Tim and I went kayaking. Josh and I paddled while Nathaniel sat at the front (he wasn't too happy about not having a paddle)...and Tim paddled for him and Zach. We had 15 minutes out there, and it was so much fun. I love the ocean, and I love any type of boat. It was great. We paddled back to the beach, and I sun tanned for a bit while the boys played cricket, and went for a swim. At one point they made sand castles by my head.

We had lunch reservations so we didn't stay at the beach too long. We walked to the car, the boys got changed, and off we went. I fell asleep almost instantly. We drove for a while, and eventually got to the restaurant. We were having Mexican today. It was at one of the restaurants we had pulled into a few days ago, but it was too busy at that time, for us to stay. We had a good time there, but when we finished eating, we left right away. It was 39 degrees out so the boys just wanted to get home and in the pool.

When we got back, they all jumped in, and I wrote some more post cards. I uploaded some pictures and spoke to some people. Josh had come in to start his homework and sat beside me. Nathaniel did some homework, and then sat to watch a movie with Zach in the family room. I took this opportunity to get in the pool. It was so relaxing. I swam a little bit, and relaxed on the inflatable boat as well. It was great. Twirling around looking at the scenery. It was very peaceful. I think that's what I'll be doing the day I'm alone. Although, that day, I won't feel alone, because I'll probably have Michael Buble playing at the same time.

I got out of the pool and was uploading more pics etc, when Zach asked me to watch a movie with him. It's rare that that happens, so I turned off my computer and sat down to watch "Shrek 2". The DVD was so scratched that it wouldn't play properly, so we switched to "The Golden Compass". It wasn't even 2 minutes in when we had to stop and look for Josh's Nintendo DS. The search failed, and we sat down for dinner. When we were all finished there, the boys went up to bed and I came online. I was sitting in the living room, but it felt like the temperature just kept getting higher, so I came into my room where it's air conditioned...and I've been here ever since. I'm thinking of working up the energy to get in the shower...I'll finish uploading my pictures from the Safari, and I'll probably crash very soon afterwards.

Good Night xx

  1. 39 Degrees and people love summer. I think -39 sounds better. At least you can put things on to stay warm. You can only take off so much and still your hot.
Nice that you got to go kayaking.
So many wonderful memories as your trip comes to an end and another chapter begins back in England.
Becareful in the pool on your own. Dad will have something to say about that when he reads this later. Guarandamntee it. lol
