Instead of writing the rest of yesterday's in today's blog...I've edited Day 90. So like an adventure book, you have to flip back to the previous blog, before reading this one :p
My feet are still asleep. I will be soon as well. The morning came so quickly that when I woke up, it didn't even seem like I had turned in the night. My bed was perfectly in tact, and I was so cozy. I text Toni to make sure she still wanted to go shopping, knowing that she had only had about 4 hours sleep as well. The decision was made. We were going because it was my birthday, and deep down, it was something I wanted to do. I swung my feet out of bed thinking "I must be effin crazy", then thinking, "I think I broke my toes".
I walked to the shower...I had no hot water. I decided to use the boys shower instead. It was hot for the first minute, and then was the coldest shower I have ever had. I couldn't even stand under it. It was a jump in to get the soap off, and get outta there as soon as possible. I got ready and heard a knock at my door. I let Josh in and he gave me a huge hug wishing me a Happy Birthday.
I went downstairs and opened my gifts from Heloise, Tim, Josh, Nathaniel and Zach. I got pyjamas with Tatty Teddy on them, union jack socks, a union jack key chain, and chocolate! I think Josh must have picked it all out because it was all stuff he knew I loved :D What a sweetie! - Oh and in case I didn't mention it...I was as giddy as a little high school girl as soon as I opened my eyes - Toni came to pick me up, and the two of us headed to Freeport. We were told there would be a line up. There wasn't. We were early, it was cold, and Starbucks wasn't open yet. Oops! We stood around, and people started walking up. When the staff members eventually opened the doors, Toni and I were on a mission. We walked in, grabbed everything we liked, and were first to the change rooms. Mission accomplished. Toni, who wasn't going to buy anything, bought 3 hoodies and a bag...and I bought 4 hoodies...for 50 pound! I couldn't believe it! I could have kept shopping but I stopped myself and thought of South Africa and things I would want to do there.
We left Bench and went straight to Starbucks. One of the ladies remembered me and my drink! I told her I was very impressed, but that I was getting something different today haha. I got my drink for free because I have a registered card and it's my birthday. Woo Hoo! Toni and I were standing at the cash when she realized the cashier at Bench had forgotten to put her bag with her other purchases. We went back there, collected it, and came home.
When we arrived, the boys were all very excited. Nathaniel and Tim were at football, but the other two were talking a mile a minute. Martin and Tom were still asleep. I had my cereal, of course...showed Toni my Pet on Petville, checked my farm, and spoke to Stephen on Skype. That's when Tom came down so he spoke to Stephen for a bit as well. I went to wake Martin up because we were leaving, and Tom wanted to drive back to Peterborough shortly after we left the house. - He was driving Martin home - Shortly after, Martin joined us downstairs. The chaos began when Tim and Nathaniel arrived. We had to leave really quickly, and nothing was going right for anyone in the Downes family. I said my goodbyes to Tom and to Martin, and then we headed out the door. Toni left at the same time.
Because we were running late, we couldn't catch the train to London. Instead, we drove to a tube station. Hopped on the tube, and into London we went. It was beautiful!! I was really wishing we had time to stop and take pictures, before and after our plans...but I don't think anyone else was interested in that :p We arrived at our location with minutes to spare. "Hamley's" Toy Store! It's AMAZING! A 7 floor toy store! CRAZY! We had a VIP experience from Tim's dad so we got a tour around the store, got to try everything including playing with the fake snow, and we got to eat, and meet Santa. It was a very cool experience, and I think the boys really enjoyed it as well. When we finished there, we took a brisk walk back to the tube, hopped on and although I was finding it very hard to stay awake at this point...Josh and I started watching "Horton Hears a Who" on his Ipod Touch.
We arrived at our destination and walked to the car. Tim was flicking through the CD's, and to my surprise...they ALL like Hedley! I hadn't even realized they had listened to "Cha-Ching" but when they said they liked that song, I played the whole album for them, and even Tim was dancing! I couldn't believe it! We ate some sandwiches in the car, and again I was falling asleep on the drive home, but I held it together, and sung to Hedley, and then some Christmas music.
We got home and they had gotten me a cake. I opened some cards, and began cutting the cake when my parents called. I spoke to them for a bit, and by the time I was done, the boys had finished their cake, and everyone had gone upstairs to get ready for bed. I sat at the table by myself, ate some cake, and listened to music. The cake was SO pretty! It had Tatty Teddy on it. Pretty is all it was though. I did not feel too well after eating it...but that's probably because the only cake I like, is ice cream cake. I finished that, thanked and said Good Night to everyone, and then came upstairs. I opened presents from Toni! A Twilight calendar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and some body wash, body butter, etc. I almost started crying. It was so nice of her :D The card was very nice as well. She's a great friend. I then jumped in the shower, and thinking this wouldn't take too long, I logged on to my laptop and went on the internet. Oops!
I went to my e-mail and saw how many I had...I then went to Facebook and had 43 Birthday messages to respond to. I felt so special. It was amazing :D I really do know some great people. Oh AND! Terry from last night had added me, so I was speaking to him :) Then my mom and dad came on Skype...and now that I've said goodbye to them, I am finishing this off...saying goodbye to some other people, and am going to pass out for a good night's sleep. I'm sorry but I cannot add the pictures tonight or I will be sick going to South Africa. I know it.
Zach is off all week, but I will try to add some tomorrow anyways. Thank you for reading two blogs in one night. Sorry about yesterday's. Good Night! xx

What a lovely weekend you had...except for the part about the sandwiches in the car.lol
ReplyDeleteOne thing I did notice is that Uncle Clifford was never mentioned at all this weekend and I find that very strange. Hopefully you and him will get out for coffee just the two of you this week even though Zac is off. You must insist.
How wonderful that Josh listens and pays attention to your likes and dislikes.
what a great little guy to remember the things you like and to get things that would make your day just a little more exciting, I sure hope you gave him an extra hug and let him know how special he was for doing that for you.
Can't wait to see some pics.
Love you lots
Miss you tons
