Day 87

I woke up still not feeling well at all. I got ready and ate. That didn't help. The boys finished their homework and while I was upstairs feeling as though I was going to be sick...I had asked them to put their shoes on. I had also told them not to play fight. 2 of them got their shoes on, 2 of them fought. I called down to split them up. Nathaniel was sitting on the stairs, and Zach on the couch. By the time I dragged myself back downstairs, it was time to leave. I filled up the drink cups, then realized Zach hadn't put his shoes on yet. I went to pick up a car seat, and in this short time Zach had opened his drink cup, so when I put the car seat back down to put his shoes on, the drink cup got knocked over, and his juice was spilling on the floor. GREAT!! He cleaned that up, but not quickly, and we were now running late. Out to the car...Josh was the only one worried about being late. I wanted to put a rocket up the other 2's bums! They were doddling. We FINALLY got into the car, but we had to sit there for a minute while it warmed up. Apparently a winter light is supposed to come on before you turn the engine on. Well I waited a few minutes and nothing was happening, so I gave up on it and left. When we got close to the high street...traffic couldn't have been slower! Josh and I were not happy. The other 2 couldn't have cared less. We finally got to the school, but of course by this time, we had to park forever away. We tried to walk briskly up the street, but Zach did his usual speed...which is about the same as a snail's pace. The boys ended up having to run into their classes, as all of the other kids had already gone in. I saw other parents I know arriving around the same time, but it didn't make me feel any better about it. I tried to make Zach hurry back to the car...of course that didn't happen. We got in, and headed to Angels. Got there late, of course. Again other parents were arriving late and complaining about the high street, but this was a first for me, and I didn't like it.

I drove to the hairdressers, and then home. When I arrived there was no way I had time to do my workout, and I was still feeling sick, so even if I had of had time...I probably wouldn't have done it. I don't know that crunches are good for a weak stomach. I logged onto my laptop, checked my e-mails and my facebook, and in no time at all, it was time to go get Zach. I drove to Angels, and the second he came out and asked what we were doing...it started. I told him we were going shopping and I thought I'd take him for lunch. Well he didn't want to go shopping. He began to winge, and the second he kicked his foot, I stopped it. I was not impressed. I told him I did not want to hear it and he better stop because I don't take little boys who throw tantrums out for treats. Well...he probably would have preferred I didn't take him. - I'll get to that in a second -

On our way to the store, he fell asleep. When I parked, I picked him up and carried him to the card store, thinking I could at least get that done without him moaning. Well, after picking out a few cards, he was getting kind of heavy and my hands were getting more and more full. I asked him to wake up, I put him on the ground and he leaned against me and I could feel him falling asleep again. It was really cute, but I had to get him to wake up. When he did he walked around asking all kinds of questions and touching everything. Luckily he didn't break anything and we got out of there before making anyone angry.

We went across to a coffee shop for lunch. I read out every kind of sandwich they had, and FINALLY he decided on one. I got him a hot chocolate and added marshmallows and whip cream to it, cuz if you're going to have a treat, you might as well go all out. I got a caramel latte. (Surprisingly, it was very good). We sat down, and because I know Zach, I cut the sandwich into 3 pieces. I gave him half of a half to try. He said he hated it. It literally took him what I think was an hour to eat a QUARTER of a sandwich. I was going insane. He even looked up at one point and said it wasn't that bad...but still winged when I told him he had to eat it because he had hardly had any breakfast and he needed something in his tummy so he wouldn't get sick. I ended up eating the 3/4 of the uneaten sandwich as I didn't want it going to waste. I thought it was good...it just sucked that I had to eat lunch. He didn't behave well at all so I told him I would no longer be treating him again (with exception of course to the movies this Friday, but I didn't bring that up), and told him he wasn't allowed to watch TV today. He asked me how I remembered everything...- I guess because I actually stick to my rules. When I say something, it's concrete...and he's not used to that - We finally got out of there and went to get groceries, and some other things. We finished quickly, he had taken so long to eat, now we were running out of time.

We got back into the car and drove to the post office. Then to the boys school. We went into the office to buy some new sweatshirts. Nathaniel needed a couple as he's chewed through the sleeves on his current ones. He has a nervous habit I guess...doesn't even realize he's doing it. Then we went around to the playground, spoke with Zoe and Tina and waited for Josh and Nathaniel to come out. When they did, we had to sign up to bring food to their class Christmas parties. We eventually made it out of the school, and drove home.

We walked through the door and I started putting stuff away. Josh brought me the mail, and when I saw I had something from home, I came right up to my room. I read the birthday card, and my eyes filled up with tears. I knew I had to go back down right away, so I took a deep breath, stood up, placed the card on the top of my wardrobe and went downstairs hoping the boys wouldn't notice my eyes. They didn't. I wasn't down their 2 seconds, and Heloise came in. I finished putting away the groceries, and Nathaniel got ready for Beavers.

I started writing some cards, and Josh wanted to watch High School Musical with me. We sat on the couch and I drew some penguins Nathaniel had been asking for. I then wrote some more cards. Zach kept trying to watch the TV, but everytime he looked up, I called his name. He tried being sneaky and climbed into a box to watch through the cracks, but to his dismay, I am smarter than he thinks. He eventually gave up and just made a lot of noise "building" me a space ship. He also wrote me a Christmas card (that I haven't received yet, but had to spell my name for him so I know it's coming), and he told Heloise I had helped him spell some other names. He told her I was teaching him...so I guess he can't hate me TOO much.

Heloise went to get Nathaniel from Beavers, and Rugby was canceled, so when they got home, the 5 of us got to eat dinner together. It was pretty much right after dinner that I came up for my shower and crawled into bed. I am not too tired, which isn't good because it's already 9...but I have so much on my mind and a ton to do tomorrow so I am too stressed out to sleep at the moment. I will try to calm myself down with some good music, and some writing...but I'm not sure it will work.

To continue the "tour" of my current "home", I have uploaded some pictures of my favourite room. MY ROOM! Enjoy. Good Night xx

  2. Hello
Sorry you are feeling ill again. Nice that Josh did not add to the mahem today and play up at all. It almost sounds like the boys are getting to know you and how to behave or at least understand that you mean what you say. I hope I did not ginx anything by saying that.
Your room looks lovely. No wonder you want to spend so much time in it. Is that the same bed as before? It looks smaller in the pic.
Hope you manage to get everything done tomorrow.
You should not stress out so much, especially if it is making you ill and you don't need that on your birthday Aunt Cindy is right.
Love you lots miss you tons.
