Well, I was originally going to be asleep by 10:30 tonight...but considering it's 10:35 right now...I guess that's not happening.
Woke up a little grouchy as I didn't want to get out of bed, but I reminded myself I'd have decorating to do today, and decided I would change my mood before leaving my room. Only you can control the way your day starts. So, I got ready and went downstairs for breakfast. I knew already that I had forgotten to pick up Soy Milk the day before, so it didn't ruin my mood when I got downstairs and couldn't have cereal. I had already planned for that. I had a banana instead.
As the boys normally finish their homework up on the weekends, all we had to do today, was Nathaniel's reading, Josh's spellings and Zach's flash cards (which, might I add, I think he did in record timing). We probably should have done Nathaniel's times tables as well, but we got a little excited/carried away with crafts. According to the newsletter they were allowed to make decorations for the school's Christmas tree. I only found that out this morning, and of course, it was something that if they wanted to do it, had to be in by today. So we got out some paper and scissors and began making snowflakes. Zach wanted glitter on his, so we got out the messy box which was filled with everything crafty that you could think of. We steered away from the snowflakes, and ended up making some snowmen and penguins. We had so much fun, I'm pretty sure we'll do the same type of thing tomorrow...if the boys get their homework done fast enough.
We left the table in a bit of a mess, and the Christmas music going, but it was nothing I was worried about. We got ready and walked up to the school. We had to go the longer way again because the paths are such a mess right now. By the time you walk through the first one, you know if you continued onto the next you would have mud up to your knees by the time you made it to the school.
I dropped the boys off, walked up to the co-op to get my soy milk, and walked home to do my workout. I passed my uncle on the way and waved :D I did my workout, and when I was finished I had just enough time to eat some cereal, and then walk to get Zach. I picked him up with all of his Christmas cards and presents - Today was his last day of pre-school- and we walked up to the co-op to get some vegetables for dinner. Just as we got in the door, I received a phone call from Heloise. Nathaniel was sitting in the office waiting to be picked up, as he had seen the nurse and had a "temperature". They don't take it the way you normally would...apparently it's got something to do with a piece of special paper on your forehead. Anyway, apparently the nurse is known for sending you home with a temperature every time you go into see her. Nathaniel has figured out how to work the system, and uses it to his advantage every now and then. Not to say he wasn't poorly at all...but after walking with Zach, to pick him up...we were about 5 minutes away from the school, walking home, and he decided he was feeling better already. Hmmm. I told him he should have told the nurse that and gone back to class...and his illness magically re-appeared. Interesting.
We got home and I made lunch for him and Zach, then I put lights on the Christmas tree while they ate. When they finished, they came in to decorate. We saved a bit for Josh, as I knew he would want to help...and we were doing more crafts at the table with the music blaring, when Heloise and my Uncle Clifford walked in. Heloise had some more decorating for the boys to do, and I took the opportunity to check my e-mails. It wasn't long after, that my Uncle left to pick Josh up and he was home ready to decorate with me. We finished the tree off, and I thought it looked pretty good. We took some pictures, and then it was time for the boys to eat. I was saving myself for popcorn. (Which I'm now thinking I should not have eaten). I'm so full but don't understand why.
While they were enjoying their fruit, and quizzing me about last night's movie, as well as asking me 20 questions about what I was doing tonight...Toni came to pick me up. Our first stop was Starbucks, and let me tell you...it was most definitely worth the wait! Mmm. We looked around for some heels, as I need to find some before Saturday night (No such luck), and then we headed over to the movies where we decided we would watch "Law Abiding Citizen". Great movie! It was very violent, but really makes you think. I won't give any of it away as I'm not sure you've all seen it...but it is very well done. It's funny though...I didn't jump at all throughout the movie...I did have to turn away a couple times, but never actually took my eyes off the screen. And even when everyone else jumped, I just sat there, sort of knowing what to expect. Yes, during the movie I was fine. It's the aftermath that I have issues with. I couldn't even have my shower without jumping. Couldn't close my eyes when I was washing my face...and when a piece of my hair fell down from my pony tail...I caught a glimpse of it and almost jumped out of my skin. How stupid!!
Anyway, it was a very good movie nonetheless...and I did enjoy it, if that's the right word. But Toni and I have decided that the next film we see, will be a happy one. Haha. Good Night xx
PS I will add the pictures tomorrow, as I am way too exhausted to do it now, and it's getting late.
