Day 84

I'm going to cheat a little bit tonight, and write the beginning of my blog before I go out. Maybe that will mean I'll be asleep much earlier than lastnight. I finally got to sleep at 2:30, and was up at 8:15...Not by choice. There was the regular noise, which perhaps I could have ignored and fallen back to sleep on a regular day, but I was afraid Tom was already up and if he was visiting me, it's not very nice to have him up with everyone but me, is it? So I got up, got ready and went downstairs for breakfast. He wasn't up.

I ate and had some tea, spent some time with the boys and then returned upstairs to do my makeup. Came back down to watch some Pirates of the Caribbean with Zach, had some more tea, and when Tom came down I showed him how to use the toaster. - He's not incompetent, it's just a stupid toaster - He ended up having cereal.

Played pirates with Zach, and burnt a CD for Tom...then when Uncle Clifford, Tim, Aunt Jill, and a very muddy Josh returned from Josh's football match, I went upstairs to get some stuff together, Tom, Tim, Uncle Clifford, and Nathaniel went off to his match, and Josh and Zach went with Aunt Jill to her place. I had some stuff I wanted to get done, so I stayed here with Heloise while she worked. It was SO quiet! It was kind of nice. That and I had time to do whatever my little heart desired. I started by writing a letter and watching some TV, then switched on a movie, and curled up in the one spot of sunshine that was beaming in. I felt like a cat...and I still wasn't warm. By now, it was time to go out. Aunt Jill rang the doorbell and I grabbed a coat and some shoes. We were off to the pub for some lunch. When we arrived, Heloise had to text the menu to the other half of our group so that we could order quickly. That didn't happen. We didn't get a text back. So Heloise made a phone call, and it turned out they were just around the corner. We waited, and when they arrived, we all placed our order.

The meal was very good, as it usually is at the Angel. And Josh and I had a great chat and drew some pictures/played knots and crosses. 2 and a half hours later, we left the pub and came home. Tom left right away, and I had an hour to do what I needed to. That's when I started this blog...and then Toni came to pick me up.

We headed to the movies with Starbucks in our thoughts. The reason we were going so early was so that we could grab one before the movie started...but sadly, when we arrived, it was already closed :( We therefore went straight into the movie theatre. We had a number of movies in mind, but hadn't decided on just one yet. We looked them all over, and after careful thought about which would be in theatres longest, we chose to go see what was quite possibly the worst choice ever..."A Christmas Carol". It was absolutely terrifying. I sat there thinking "I wonder if Toni is as scared as I am"...after our discussions once we left the theatre, it turns out she was. I really can't even begin to explain how horrible it was. The graphics were amazing, I can admit that...but it was way too scary. I couldn't be happier that Nathaniel decided he wants to see Planet 51 instead. Had I of taken him...we probably would have left within the first 10 minutes. Yuck! I'm hoping I won't have nightmares.

Now I'm lying in bed, I've just spoken to my parents on the phone (finally), and I am absolutely exhausted. I better get to sleep. Good Night. xx

PS I'll attach pictures tomorrow.

  1. Nice that you had a good visit with Tom.
Sorry that you hated the movie so much. I am not a fan of that story to start with so I can understand why you did not like it.
I am surprised Aunt Jill went to a football match. Wow.
Anyway it was also nice that you had time on your own today to do what you wanted for a bit.
Now I know the difference in the two places that you talk about but for those of them that don't. You talk about going to the pub "Angels" for lunch and great food etc and other days you talk about dropping little Zac off at "Angles" like three times a week. Sounds pretty scary at his age to be dropped at a pub. lol
Nice that you and Josh had some good conversation and quality time today as well.
    Great talking to you today.
Love you lots miss you tons
