Day 81

Welcome to my world...FINALLY! Tonight I'll show you the front of the house, and over the next few blogs, you'll get to explore the quarters I've been living in for the past 81 days.

So here we are. Wow. Another GREAT day! Maybe I shouldn't speak this soon...but I LOVE DECEMBER!! I awoke from another happy dream...buried my head in my pillow, and thought about going back to sleep for just a minute to see what happened next. We all know going back to a dream is next to impossible though, so instead, I got out of bed and got ready to begin the day. Thursday already...could it be that the days are going fast again?! Maybe because I have some things to look forward to. Now this is the way I like it!

Clothes and make up on, Hedley playing on the laptop, checked some e-mails, sent out an important Facebook message, said hello to my brother, and continued downstairs. No cereal, as previously suspected...deep breath, it's ok...I'll have a bagel instead. And so I did. It wasn't as delicious as I remember them being, but it was filling nonetheless so that was that. I helped the boys with their homework, nothing out of the norm...and in the midst of it all...I did some colouring. Nathaniel finished his times tables and worked on a story he's writing about dinosaurs. He's got quite the imagination, maybe not as wild as Zach's, but I have a feeling he'll be famous one day. - More about that later -

So, 3 boys ready and at the door...one Maija, and an Heloise. The two eldest walked with Heloise, and Zach and I jumped in the car to go to Angels. Zach was upset - understandably - as he misses his Mom, and the two days she's been home, she's been unable to be the one to drop him off. I told him I didn't mind him crying, as I did it sometimes as well. He seemed a little shocked. I told him how much happier this would make him when he got to see her at lunch time, and that seemed to cheer him up a little. - We would be picking him up early today, to take him to Nathaniel's play - I popped in his Christmas CD, no more tears, and away we went.

We arrived at Angels and the two of us walked Xavier in. It was market day which always means no parking spots, so Michelle asked me if I'd mind holding an extra hand. The 3 of us went in happily talking about the boys being so strong they could lift houses, and without so much as a hug, off they went. Zach did however turn to wave once he was in the class...and that brought a smile to my face.

I squeezed back into the volvo also known as the Beast, turned on Hedley and was on my way. I had it turned up, with a huge smile on my face. Yes, this was going to be a good day. Nothing could bring me down. When I pulled in, I didn't know Heloise was already back. I tried my key in the door, but of course, it wasn't working. I mumbled a few words as I struggled with it...as I do most days...and after about 5 minutes, Heloise came to let me in.

For the next couple of hours I sat on my laptop in the "breakfast room", spoke to Stephen (my brother) on Skype, and we laughed wayyyyy too hard at some great videos on You Tube. When he had to give in and go to bed, I caught up on the Office.

A little later Heloise went to get Zach, I made myself an Aztec DELICIOUS hot chocolate, and watched a few more episodes on my laptop. When they got home, Zach sat on my lap and coloured until lunch. When we finished eating we watched some Bugs and Daffy, and then it was time to go to the play! We got our things on and went out the door. Heloise made a quick stop at the bank and then we found a parking spot not too far from the school, and walked into the gym.

My excitement started to rise as the Christmas music played, and the animals started filing in. By animals I mean the sheep, oxen, and I think horses? and camels also known as the reception children. They looked so cute. Then came the shepherds and the Virgin Mary, and Baby Jesus. AND THEN! The part I'd been waiting for. Oh my goodness he looked so cute! Nathaniel stepped onto the stage in his little suit, shirt and tie, and you could tell he was scanning the crowd. As soon as he saw us his face beamed...and that was the moment I let it all out. I could not stop smiling. He was the cutest little guy up there. He said his lines perfectly and clearly. After the play it was very nice to hear Heloise telling everyone she had nothing to do with that. She explained that she hadn't even heard the lines and it was me that had been practicing with him. I didn't let it show, but I felt very special. Mr. Taylor, the good looking head teacher who Nathaniel was playing, commented to the audience about how well Nathaniel did, and said he's been thinking long and hard about it, and he's going to grow his hair out. Hahahaha it was too cute. Nathaniel was loving it up there.

Everything finished and we went into the playground where Zach and I played a bit, and then it was time to collect the kids. One, two, three...four and five. Got them. Nathaniel was having 2 friends over (twins), and their older brother would be coming to the house later to play with Josh. Heloise went to meet with Josh's teacher, and by the time she had returned, I had only just gotten the 5 of them buckled in. It probably didn't help that when we came out of the playground, we first walked the wrong way to get to the car, and had to then backtrack. Oops :p They didn't seem to mind.

When we got back home there was a lot of noise, and tons of running around, but nothing for me to do. I tried to get Zach to stay with me as he wasn't too happy with what the older boys were playing, but he still wanted to be around them, so I went on my laptop and sent some texts from my phone. - It's all about multi tasking - Josh came in and decided to play DS with me until his friend got there...and when that time came...I returned to my laptop. We looked at some football videos of Owen, Henry and Rooney, and then the two of them went up to play fight with the others. Dinner was served and that quietened them down for a bit...but it wasn't long before they were up and running all over the house yet again. It was kind of nice that they were occupied though. I had some time to just speak to friends, uninterrupted. Heloise took the brothers home, and Zach and I watched some TV while Nathaniel and I played DS and Josh was on the computer. When Heloise returned the boys started getting ready for bed, and I retired to my room. Not too tired right now which is unusual for me, but I'm probably going to try to sleep right away as there is TONS of excitement to come this weekend. I guess I could have told you about it up there, but I had to save the best for last :p

I'll start with my Friday and build your excitement for my Saturday. Tomorrow I will be going out with Brigitta...I won't tell you too much about that, as Ill have nothing to write about tomorrow if I spoil it now. Saturday...Are you ready for this??? My cousin Tom is coming up early in the morning and we're going to.......THE MANCHESTER UNITED VS WEST HAM GAME!!!! I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited! Then when we get back from that it's Karaoke night...and Sunday is meant to be lunch and movies! YAY! Ok, I'll stop giving it all away now. Goodnight xx

  2. You weren't allowed to take pictures during the performance which I thought was ridiculous, but was happy at the same time cuz stupid me forgot my camera...but Tim took a couple at the end that I might try to get from him, and they've bought a dvd of the play so I'll see if I can put that on my computer.

They do love me...some days haha.
