Day 80

I'm sleepy. How does this happen?

Before I get started on today, let me tell you a couple of things I forgot about yesterday. #1 - There's a man who I swear is Montel Williams, or at least his twin brother, who takes kids to the boys school each day. I'm tempted to go up and ask...maybe he'll have a job for me in Broadcasting :p #2 - (Are you ready for this?) When I went to the hairdresser's...she asked if I was Australian. Ok, fair enough, maybe she hadn't heard me speak enough to know what my accent was. BUT THEN, when I told her I was Canadian and people were talking about how cold it was outside...I mentioned that I loved that type of cold, and she said..."Canada doesn't really get winter does it?" REALLY? I was stunned. Uhhh yeah - I said - we get snow. She was shocked. Weird.

Anyway, on to today. I had a great dream lastnight. I was driving into Coggeshall and as I went down the hill and approached the bridge, the ground was absolutely blanketed with beautiful white, glistening snow. I was soooo happy! I woke up before I got far enough in to feel the lovely snowy weather, but I awoke with a smile. I didn't look out my window. I got ready and listened to Christmas music, and then went downstairs.

It seems I no longer have to do breakfasts. I guess Tim realized while I was away, how much he missed that job, and he has taken it back. Which is fine with me, as relaxing to eat my breakfast, isn't such a bad thing. Tomorrow's gonna be rough at breakfast though. I think we ran out of all the good cereal :| I may have to have a bagel instead. What is the world coming to when a girl can't have her delicious crunchy, chocolatey, heavenly cereal? Oh well...I'm sure the problem will be fixed soon enough.

So, the boys finished their homework pretty early, and we sat looking at a Christmas magazine while Zach circled absolutely everything he laid his eyes on, and I pointed out the things I thought were cool. Time for school, and I'm not even thinking about the weather outside. I have yet to look out the window, and as far as I'm concerned, the entire village is covered in snow. At least, that's what I've got pictured in my head. Something I clearly knew wasn't true...but it was nice to believe, even just for a moment. Well...we stepped out the door, and it was peeing down with rain. I was only meant to take Zach to school today as Heloise was off on a study day and had to go to the boys school for a meeting anyway, so she was going to walk them...but once they saw the weather, plans changed. They jumped in the car and I dropped the three of them at school. Zach and I continued to Angels. I brought him in, and drove home again, listening to Hedley of course. (On the way there we had listened to the radio, and there's a bidding contest going on right now to win tickets to Michael Buble. Not only will it be an intimate concert, in a small venue, but you'd get to meet him afterwards. I would love to meet him, but there's no way I'll be able to out bid people around here).

When I arrived back at home, Heloise was already in. Turned out the teacher couldn't meet with her and has rescheduled for tomorrow. I spoke with her and Tim, and we all complained about the weather. Then the two of them started doing their work from home, and I went upstairs to get changed for my workout. Today's session was 45 minutes of Flexibility. The difference you feel after just 45 minutes is absolutely amazing. I love this Wii Fitness Coach!

Finished that early enough that I had time to sit down, catch up on the last episode of Big Bang Theory, and do the first couple of coats on my nails. Then Heloise and I headed out to get Zach. When we picked him up, he wanted nothing to do with me. When we got home however, he wanted me to sit with him and watch Peter Pan. This I could handle. We sat there, and had to break to eat lunch. We then watched a little more until it was time for Zach to go with my Uncle, Aunt, and Tim to watch Nathaniel's play. (Heloise, Zach again, and I will go watch it tomorrow). While they were gone I watched the latest episode of Desperate Housewives, and was in the middle of watching Ellen's stand up comedy when they walked in.

Zach and I continued to watch Peter Pan, and soon enough Josh came in to join us. The three of us cuddled on the couch, and when that movie ended, we popped in Harry Potter. A little while later Nathaniel joined us. It was after his Beavers, and while Heloise went to pick him up, Josh, Tim and I hung out in the kitchen, talked and put bacon in the George Forman. Josh and Tim played some catch...in the kitchen...and Zach came in to join them. When Heloise and Nathaniel returned it was pretty much time for dinner. We watched a little more of Harry Potter, and then sat down to eat.

As per usual, when we were finished eating, I came up to the warmth. Had my shower, and crawled into bed to write this. Now I am sleepy, I think I'm gonna catch an even earlier night than usual. I have taken pictures of the house, and my bedroom etc to share with you, but with this blog site, you are only allowed to put up so many pictures in each post. So I will do a few each night starting tomorrow. For now, I will say Good Night xx

  2. Winnipeg got snow today. :O( Wish I was there. Sorry to hear you stepped out to rain. It has been really sunny and nice for a couple of days here now. That will soon change. Up till then we had 27 straight days of rain.
You need to ask Montel if it is him. He might think stupid girl thinks we all look alike hahahaha but what the heck. If it is not you can tell him he has a tv host twin.
I can't believe she thought you were Australian unless of course you have picked up some of the boys accent then maybe you do sound odd. lol
Sounds like your day was pretty enjoyable and relaxing once you were in and wathcing movies.

  3. Ew. Tim said it's been 5 weeks straight of rain...but I know for fact that December 1st was beautiful, as that's when things started looking up for me :p

HAHAHAHA I so can't ask "Montel" that. Next time, I'll listen to see if he has an English accent.

Haha as far as my accent goes...if you speak to the boys, I'm still plenty Canadian. "What's a stroller?" Lol Zach asked that the other day.

Love and Miss you too! xoxox
