Day 79, and what a good day it was!
It didn't start out so good though. I woke up and wanted to go back to sleep to figure out what was about to happen in my dream...but I forced myself to keep my eyes open, and arose from my bed. I then realized it was December 1st and that put a smile on my face. I popped my new Andrea Bocelli Christmas CD into my laptop and went straight to track 3. Perfect music to start the day. I had a smile ear to ear, and sang along as I did my make up.
I got ready and went downstairs where Tim was once again taking care of breakfast. Easy enough for me. I got mine, and sat down. It was only Josh at the table...the other two had disappeared. As I got further into my bowl of cereal, Nathaniel and Zach came sauntering in. They had their breakfast, and because Josh had a field trip yesterday, he didn't have any homework to do. So instead, he decided to distract Nathaniel from doing his. Zach was fooling around with his food, and I was getting annoyed. After everyone was done their homework...things started looking up.
Each of the boys decided they were going to draw and write their own books to go with their pictures. Josh wrote about a man named Paul who went into town...I haven't read the end of that one yet as it has yet to be put to paper. Nathaniel is writing about Spongebob's life, and Zach asked me to help him draw a picture of his house with Jelly sitting at the door. He is going to sell his story for 25,000 pound.
It was time to leave so we went outside. This made me EXTREMELY happy! It was 0 degrees and I had to scrape off the windshield. The sun was shining, it was beautiful out, and I had a huge smile on my face as I used my old bank card to scrape. Jumped into the car happy with frozen hands, turned up Hedley, and I was on my way. Remembered there was swearing in some of their songs, so I turned that off and put on Michael Jackson. We pulled up to the school and went into the playground. Nathaniel seemed to be as happy as I was. He was sliding all around on the pavement as it was very slick. He wasn't the only child doing it, although he was the only one going "Weeeeeeeeeeeee!" every time he slid. It was too cute. Josh had wandered off to his class, and soon enough the bell rang, so Nathaniel ran...no...slid, into his line up, and off into the class.
Zach and I went back to the car, turned on the radio and drove to Angels. I dropped him there and headed home for what I thought was going to be a relaxing day. At this point I had Hedley blaring and couldn't have been in a better mood. What a great CD! I got home and started writing a letter. I then confirmed my reservation at the paintball place, and while I was on the phone someone came to the door. I answered that, dealt with that person, and when I got back inside it was time to take the car to the garage. I pulled up there and had to wait a while before someone came out to take it for a drive. I had to go with him which I thought was odd, but it was fine. Turns out I described everything that was wrong with it just right. It has to be booked in next week which should be interesting. I took the keys, and they told me not to drive too far. I already had plans to go to Starbucks, and there was no way I was putting a hold on that for the 2nd day in a row. Stupid car.
I drove to the hair dressers, got my hair washed, and came back home to put it up. I then grabbed everything I needed and drove to Braintree hoping that the car would get me there and back. When I arrived I looked in a few stores, and of course ended up at Starbucks. I got a chai tea latte and an orange cranberry muffin. It was very nice to just sit there, enjoy both, and write a letter. When I finished there...I went on a bit of a chocolate shopping spree. I also looked at some Christmas decorations as I want to decorate my room...but I decided against it all. I have to convince myself that I won't mind my cousins making fun of me when they see my decor, before I can actually buy it. There was a really pretty fiber optic (Which I normally hate) Christmas Tree decorated with Snowflakes. But...it's still sitting in the store. There were also some snowflake Christmas lights. If they haunt my dreams, I'll have to go back to buy them. A couple more shops, and then I was on my way.
I drove to the Angels parking lot, sorted out the recycling, and then walked to the post office. YES! I finally found a post office I'll enjoy going to! They were so nice! I couldn't believe it. I don't care if it's a 5 minute drive rather than a 5 minute walk, the service was much better and I will use that one from now on. When I finished there I collected Zach and we drove to the Co-Op. Hopped out to get some soy milk and hopped back in to drive home.
When we arrived Zach only had a little bit before my Uncle came to pick him up, so he sat at the table and ate the fruit and vegetables that he had left over from lunch. (Not by choice). Uncle Clifford was at the door, and Zach was on the go. I shut the door and the feeling of relaxation instantly took it's place.
I planned on having popcorn for dinner, but not until at least 5. I sat down to catch up on some TV but made the mistake of first turning on Hedley. I listened to the album once...and then started listening to it again. I couldn't turn it off. I absolutely love it. In fact, I'm listening to it again right now. It's amazing. Jacob Hoggard's talent has me completely astonished. Anyway, Heloise came in...so the popcorn idea went out the window. I turned down my music and we talked for a bit. Then while she made dinner for the two of us, I caught up on some Big Bang Theory episodes I'd missed, and did some frog leap challenge on the computer, which is apparently a grade 2 test in China I think it was? It frustrated me a little, but I was determined. And that determination got me through it. Dinner was on the table and Heloise and I were both on our laptops. The second I finished eating, I decided I would come upstairs. After freezing all day, and not being able to feel my nose, it was time to retire to the warmth. I came up, jumped into the shower and crawled into my cozy warm bed, in my sauna hot room. Excellent!
I was checking e-mails and such when my cousin Dan came on Skype to show me the new addition to the family. She's beautiful. She's got huge eyes, and chubby little cheeks. I can't wait til I get to hold her! What a way to end the night. I love babies. I have a little girl cousin!! Oh My Goodness! She's going to be soooo spoiled!
Anyway, now that I've written you a short novel, I'm going to go listen to the words of this amazing song, speak to my Mom, and then fall asleep in my favourite room of the house. Good Night xx

ReplyDeleteHAHAHA I thought about what I would have to say if the car broke down and I had to call someone. I thought as long as I was on my way back I'd be ok cuz I could have just said I had to pick some stuff up before getting Zach. Lol. Pretty sad that I thought all of that through, and still went.
