I LOVE this movie! I'm sitting here watching "Up!", and let me tell you, it's much better than the movie we went to the theatres to see tonight.
Our day started early enough for me. It wasn't easy to get out of bed. I didn't have time to do any exercises on the wii, so I did my weigh in and then got ready. Aunt Cindy, my Mom and I left the house and drove to St. Catherines. Aunt Cindy dropped us at the mall and we had a quick look around, while she went to her appointment. When she returned, the 3 of us went to a different mall...had a bit of a shopping spree in the Bulk Barn - sooo much candy! - and then went to Chapters where we sat and had a Starbucks, and then looked at some books. We left there, checked for shoes for Aunt Cindy, went to Payless where I picked up some pretty awesome boots, and then we went to Zellers to buy "UP!"
When we finished there, we came home for supper. Aunt Cindy made a delicious salad, and we watched "Family Feud". By the time we ate, it was time to leave for the movies. We were really excited, or at least...I was. We were going to see "Men Who Stare At Goats", and I couldn't wait. We got there, paid, and after much confusion, got our popcorn which ended up costing way too much. The guy behind the counter tried to give us a deal, but then started saying it would cost more to do what he was saying...and in the end it cost us like 20 dollars, for what didn't seem like much. I'm pretty sure he charged us wrong. Anyway, we went into the theatre, and started watching the previews. One for "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus" came on. (I still can't believe it's not out in Canada yet...what a great movie!). Anyway, the Feature Presentation began, and at this point...I was still excited. I had a couple of laughs, mostly at what I had already seen in the previews, and then the credits came up. I looked at my Mom with complete confusion...and all I could say was "What the Hell?" Luckily her and my Aunt Cindy had the exact same reaction. We could not believe how much we had just paid to sit through that. It turns out at one point, both my Mom and I were thinking the exact same thing as well. We were thinking about "Syriana" and wondering if this would be another George Clooney film in which we'd walk out of. We didn't. We sucked it up to see what would happen...but I can't say that we were happy about staying. It truly was a disappointment. Upset and confused, we left the theatre and went to pick up a few things at Zellers. Now we're home, we've had some candy that we had previously bought, we're drinking tea, and of course watching "Up!" I didn't want to wait until the end to write my blog, as I knew I would be much too tired. So instead I'm writing it now, and you can guarantee I am going to bed as soon as it ends.
Tomorrow will most likely be a long, but hopefully eventful and exciting day. Good Night xx
