Day 58

Sitting here watching "Nanny Diaries" - A great movie - I figured I should start writing about my day before this ends and I am too tired to type.

Woke up to what seemed like a mass of hair (clearly no more than usual) but it wasn't curly or straight. Great! Decided to do my wii, eat, shower, do my makeup, and then I would tackle that situation. I attempted to curl it...that didn't work, and so I moved onto the flat iron. An hour later, my hair was straight, and it was time to go.

My Mom, My Aunt and I headed out the door, into the car, and off to Burlington for the day. We were going shopping, and I was supposed to meet up with a friend. My Mom and I fell asleep in the car...Great company for my Aunt. Then a text message from a friend awoke me with a smile, and we were almost there, so the two of us chatted back and forth, and I stayed awake the rest of the way.

When we arrived, our first stop was Lenscrafters. The three of us tried on some different frames, and I found some I really liked. I handed them to the guy at the counter so that he could price them for me, and once he had given me my options, the three of us went off to Starbucks to discuss. We tried a mint chocolate brownie that I had had my eye on for days...it wasn't worth the wait. A little while, and a few shops later, we were back at Lenscrafters ordering the ones I had picked out.

We had an hour until we had to pick them up, so we looked in a couple more shops, and that's when I got the text from my friend saying he was at the mall, and would meet me at Starbucks. I walked up, and as I was approaching Starbucks, I noticed some sirens in the parking lot. I sat down and waited a minute. -*Side Note* My friend is a cop, and was coming to meet me on his break*- I then got another message from him saying he was sorry but he got a call and had to leave. (Hence the sirens I had seen). So, back to meet up with my Mom and my Aunt, some more shops, looking for shoes, etc. We picked up my glasses, I got a new toque, and my mom found some wicked boots. We then walked back up to Starbucks as our last stop of the day, ordered our drinks, and then started walking through the mall to the parking lot.

I received another message and wasn't sure if that meant my friend would be able to come back to the mall, so we had a seat at the entrance, talked a bit more, and after figuring out it wouldn't be possible today...we walked to the car.

Driving home, listening to music, we stopped at Walmart to get a movie. We saw one copy of it, but it was too expensive for something we just wanted as something to do. An old movie, that we were sure didn't normally cost that much. I noticed it said it was the 15th anniversary special edition, and so I decided to walk around to the other side of the rack and check the double features. There was an employee standing there, so I decided I would ask her if she knew whether the movie came in a pack of 2. She was a tool. First *really rudely* she said did they make 2 of that movie? I was like no...then she went maybe it's a 2 pack of Julia Roberts movies? So I said yeah maybe...Then she said, is it not on the other side? So I said yes it is, but that's special edition. And to that...she raised her hands, and then threw them down saying "A movie is a movie!" and she went back to doing what she was doing, and not helping me. My Mom had heard what she said, luckily I didn't. What a rude lady! Anyway, we left and got back in the car to drive home.

A couple more stops on the way, and not too long after, we walked through the door. My Aunt made us some pizza, cut up some cheese and apple on a plate of crackers, and we had our dinner. We watched some TV, and when we put the movie on, my Mom made popcorn. Now the movie's almost over, and I'll be going to bed shortly after. I think we're going to the movies tomorrow, so I'll let you know how that goes. Good Night xx

  1. An hour to straighten your locks. (Thump!) That was me - passing out and hitting the floor. I am so exhausted these days, I don't have the attention span to do anything for 5 mins without falling asleep. Well, no WONDER you always look so darn good!
