What a night! All I'm gonna say is...weight restrictions on luggage when you're trying to take enough clothes to last you a year - A place in which you're always freezing - makes it very difficult. Once you've packed 5 hoodies, you're over your flippin' limit. All of that aside...
Today was really nice. Of course there was an issue with the bank bright and early, surprise, surprise. My day however, started off with coffee with a friend. We spent a good hour discussing careers and goals, etc, made plans for the not to distant future - which is always nice, because then it doesn't feel like you're really going away for THAT long -. Then he dropped me off at the soccer complex where Tara was coaching.
I sat with my Mom and we watched the little ones run around. There was just over an hour left when I got there. This one little boy, Thane...remember that name, he's going to be famous. You should have seen the crosses he was doing. Plus he'd get bowled over by the other kids, hop right back up, and have the ball at his feet going for goal after goal. He was great. He informed us later that he does play with the bigger leagues. Haha. And so he should! What a cutie. We spoke to, and said goodbye to a family friend, and then we went to Walmart. Picked up a few necessities, and headed to Starbucks to meet up with some more family friends. Had a good time there, Tara went off to the hair dressers and we stayed to chat.
After leaving there, my Mom and I went to one of our favourite places in Winnipeg. A place called The Forks. We decided we'd go and take a bunch of pictures (which we did, and I will post them soon, just not from Tara's computer, as I'm pretty sure it's the slowest thing ever made). The two of us had a great time. We had so much fun in fact, that we ended up completely using up the battery in my camera. So when that died, we went to look in some of the shops, and then it was time to go get Tara.
We picked her up and came back to the apartment for CHILI! FINALLY!!!! My Mom's chili! That made me SO happy! It was delicious! Finished that off, and played Wii Fit Plus with Tara. It's so much fun, but I tell ya, that flapping like a bird...KILLS your arms! Anyway, we had fun with that, then started getting some movies together for me to take home. I played some DS, Sean came over, and we watched Family Guy.
Tara had to go babysitting, and it was for the family I used to babysit for - Also the ones we went for coffee with earlier - so my Mom and I went as well. When I got there, the 3 children were happy to see me (which is always nice), and my buddy Evan and I checked out his farm on the laptop. We had to run back to Tara's to get her some cake mix, so it was my Mom and I, and Ev came along for the ride. We had a great conversation, and it's funny to see how alike children can be in certain ways. He started asking what we say differently to people that live in England, which made me think of Zach, and was so interested in what I was doing, where I was staying etc. Quite the little conversationalist. We stopped at Starbucks/Indigo on the way back to their house (Yes, ANOTHER Starbucks stop...I know what you're thinking. BUT I need you to understand, 3 times a day is not a regularity for me. It's just easier to say to people you haven't seen in a while "Hey let's meet up for coffee!") Anyway, we stopped there, and I ended up giving the Barista my London Starbucks card cuz he loved it so much when I used it the last time. He was so surprised, was saying how unexpected it was, and he was so happy. It was nice.
We drove back to their place, Ev and I checked our farms, and discussed the animal noises coming from mine. Ally listened in. Then we all looked at the pictures from The Forks, while Tara and Danica made the cake. Ally and Danica ended up having to go to bed, so Ev and I went downstairs and played Raving Rabbids on Wii. We couldn't stop laughing. I love that game. The three adults (My Sis, my Mom and I) sat around for a little while and watched TV, and then we left Tara there, so that we could come home and pack. And that brings me back to the start of this post. WHAT A NIGHT!
TORONTO HERE I COME!!! I am really looking forward to it. Places to go, people to see...people, that I haven't seen in YEARS! I hope it all works out as planned. But we'll see. And of course, the MAIN reason for the trip, my cousin's wedding next Saturday! I LOVE FAMILY WEDDINGS! It's gonna be a good time. Now that it's gone 2am yet again, and I have to be up around 6...I guess I should go put my head on a pillow. I don't feel tired, but I am sure my eyes will tell me otherwise fairly shortly. Good Night xx
