Day 55

It's 2:15am...Am I insane to be writing my blog now? Technically it's tomorrow...but if I haven't gone to bed yet, it's still Day 55 right? I hope so. With all the time changes happening in my life right now, I think we'll just roll with this.

So I'm thinking you must get tired of reading "I woke up today", and I'm therefore going to switch it up a bit...
I JUMPED out of bed this morning! (I didn't, but for your benefit, let's pretend I did). So I'm outta bed, and I reach a conclusion...a revolution if you will. Are you ready to hear it? Winnipeg...is my Bahamas. I know what you're thinking right now, "Is she insane?" but let me explain.

When I am in Winnipeg, I am extremely lazy! And I've only just discovered it really. On a regular day in my life, I get up and it takes me an hour to get ready. (Yes, that's right, an hour). But HERE! Man do I doddle! I wake up, I lie there for a bit...finally drag myself out of bed, and then, instead of getting ready...I come into the living room, do my wii fit, make some toast...Turn on the TV so I have something to watch while I eat. When I'm done that...I check e-mails, my farm, my cafe...I swear an hour goes by without me even realizing. Then I decide hey, maybe I should get my act together. So I go into the washroom. Well...here goes another hour. Once I get in that bath, I remember how much I love warmth. It's so nice to be able to relax!! When I remember that people are waiting for me and that I have plans, I decide to speed up the process, but even once I'm out I still have to do my make up and such. Anyway, my revolution was the fact that the reason I'm sooooo lazy here, is because it really is MY TIME to just do what I want, when I want, and I don't have to be on a schedule. IE my vacation. - The time that others would spend in the Bahamas or somewhere, I spend it in Winnipeg...and I love every minute of it -

Once I finished all that this morning, Mom and I headed out. Now this was a while ago, so forgive me if things are a little mixed up. I have to rack my brain to remember what I did 3 hours ago, let alone 15! Our first stop...(If you've been reading these last few days, you probably already know the answer) was the bank. More havoc there, but nothing new. Same old problems, with no solution. Ran into Safeway to pick up a few things, and drove over to Starbucks afterwards to enjoy Pumpkin Spice Lattes. We had some time to sit and talk, just the two of us. No real rush. It was nice.

We got in the car and drove to our old hair dressers as Mom had an appointment. It was great to see him! Matt's awesome. We caught up on the latest happenings in his world, and then when he was through with Mom's hair, we headed over to Tara's office. She came out and the three of us went to Costco. Then off to Best Buy where Tara bought the new Wii Fit Plus. I love it!

When we got home, my Mom was making dinner, and Tara decided it was time to give me my birthday/Christmas present as she won't see me on the actual days. I opened the bag, and to my delighted surprise, found Twilight Scene It! We immediately put the DVD in and played a few rounds before heading to soccer. (I won 2 of 3 rounds...the first in no time at all). We got to soccer, Tara and Sean were already there as Mom and I had to stop elsewhere on the way. We came through the doors and saw a family friend we had to say hi to. (One of the players) So we ran in, had a quick chat, and a hug, and then went upstairs to meet the ladies, while the men warmed up.

Well, they won 5-0...but I can honestly say, I didn't see a single goal. I caught the tail end of one, but I didn't have the slightest view of the others. - I was too involved in deep conversation - The ladies and Sean had some laughs, and were having a great time, when the game ended and the guys came upstairs. Said hi to a few more we hadn't seen in at least a year, and had a really good visit. These guys are the best, but you'd have to meet them to understand. The social life in Winnipeg is one of a kind. Something you truly miss when you leave such a wonderful place. Turns out a friend of mine was at the same complex watching hockey so I got to have a really good conversation with him. We've been texting, but I can't remember the last time I saw him face to face so that made my night that much better. I've missed him.

Came back to our group, food was ordered, and good times were had by all. Hours later, it's past 12:30 and the three of us have to get up early, so we decide we should head home. Another hour or so passes as we say our goodbyes I am sure, but we don't mind. We find it very hard to leave, and not that prolonging it helps...but I know I'm not going to see them for at least another year, so those extra minutes mean a lot.

When we got home, although it was late, Tara put on Wii Fit Plus. We did some different activities and some work outs, and she went to bed. My Mom followed soon after, and I waited for the computer to finally let me on here to start writing. Now it's quarter to 3, I have to be up early and am probably going to have a very long, but WONDERFUL day tomorrow, so I should get a few hours sleep in preparation. Hope you enjoyed your read. Thanks for caring :) Good Night xx
