Day 54

Woke up and it all began as "just one of those days". It was not looking good. But I got ready and went out with my Mom to meet up with a family friend for lunch at what may possibly be my favourite restaurant - Joey's - and that's where it all turned around.

This family friend can just make you smile no matter what. And the ahi tuna salad..it helped too. We had a very nice visit, and some good laughs, and then it was time to go. My Mom and I went over to the mall where I picked up some new eye shadow that I can't wait to wear tomorrow!!!! And when we got in the car we realized it was much later than we thought. We came back to Tara's to change into some comfier clothing, and proceeded to Starbucks, looked at some pictures we had taken and enjoyed a coffee and a polar bear cookie.

Not too long after that, it was time to go pick Tara up from work. When we arrived she was already waiting outside, as one of the streets we had to take to get there was blocked off, and we were therefore running late. She jumped in the car, and we took her home so she could nap, while we made yet another trip to the bank. THEY'RE DRIVING ME INSANE!!!! I get charged 5 pound (so around 10 dollars), to withdraw money everytime I'm at the machine. And it's at MY bank! How ridiculous is that?? Not to mention the fact that the tellers have pretty much been useless. It's such a pain! Anyway, after getting upset there, we came home. I found out later tonight that after a huge misunderstanding with my Canadian account thinking there was fraud happening with my account...they've cancelled my card. So I have to go into that bank tomorrow. Ugh.

Anyway, when we got back to Tara's, Mom and I were watching TV while Tara slept. Then Mom fell asleep so I did what I needed to on the computer and watched some TV myself. The Sens game started at 6:30 (I won't tell you the score in case), and Sean (Tara's bf) came over to watch it with us. Mom made nachos and they were delicious! (Of course!)

We ate those, I played DS, caught up on some Grey's Anatomy episodes, and Tara and Sean went to watch the other game on a different TV. Mom and I finished watching Hockey, then Survivor came on so I got all caught up on that and am now pretty sure I'll be addicted to it until I leave. *Oops!*

Now I'm sitting here with Craig Fergus on. Dennis Leary is his guest. I love him. BUT my nails are dry, and I can feel my throat getting bad. I've been sneezing and coughing too, so I think it's time I give in and get an early night. It is after all only 12:15...so now's my chance. :p And of course as I say that, a friend messages me on msn. Oh well, can't stay up...must sleep. 3 days til party time. Good Night xx
