Day 48

I'm sorry this will be the shortest blog I have written thus far. I had a great day but it is now 3:40am and I am exhausted and am supposed to be up at 8 : I'm also getting sick again, but that's because of the flight, and it's no surprise to me.

Woke up around 11 today. Slept in for the first time in 48 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was BEAUTIFUL! I did wake up a couple of times, but I always fell back to sleep rather quickly so I was lucky. Got ready and Mom and I drove Tara to her friend Kat's so she could get ready for tonight's wedding social. Danced like an absolute fool in the car with my Mom to "Thriller" and was laughing so hard, it was awesome. The two of us then did some running around, looked at cameras and prices to see what type I want, went to the bank, and to Starbucks. Then went to visit a family friend at work and talked for a couple of hours. Did a little more running around, picked up dinner and were home by 6:30 to get ready for the social.

I got my outfit on, and then painted half of my Mom's face, took a break to do my makeup, and then went back to doing my Mom's. She was a zebra tonight. I was Mad Hatter. Tara's friend Tara came over and when we were finished getting ready, the 3 of us drove up to the social.

We had a good time dancing all night, and looking at the Winnipeg boys. (My God they're good looking!). Did much more dancing...hardly sat actually. We went to the washroom to fix Mom's makeup and OF COURSE, that's when they started playing the Boot Scoot'n Boogie. So we ran out of there as fast as we could and did the Electric Slide. There were so many people that actually knew how to do it tonight, it was cool. We all got a round of applause at the end. Continued to dance so much that I removed my heels so I could be comfier. Heard the best line of the night! This guy came up to me and asked what my costume was. I told him, but it was loud so I wasn't sure if he heard my answer. He confused me by saying "Are you supposed to be perfect?"...So I was like pardon? And he repeated himself. So bewildered, I was like umm...no. And he went "cuz I think you are", and he took my hand and spun me around. It was very flattering, but I could tell I was blushing. I said thank you but I'm not, and he disagreed. Him and his friend tried to buy me a drink, and like most, didn't believe me when I said I don't drink. I continued to tell them I didn't, and then said "See, I told you I'm not perfect", to which he answered...oh yes, that is perfect. His friend bought me one anyways. He told me it was gingerale...but I watched carefully when he got it, and am pretty sure that's not all that was in it. I said thank you, left it on the table, and went to dance some more.

Met some of Tara's friends. Brent is awesome! He was dressed as the little boy from "Where the Wild Things Are". One of the best costumes there for sure. There was a guy dressed as "Dick in a Box", the guy from "Hangover" with the baby on his stomach, and the guy that told me I was perfect, was dressed as Swine Flu. He had a pig nose and ears. There was a kleenex attached to the nose, and he had one of those medical masks on. It said HoneNone across his back. Too Funny.

Brent threw Mom and I in jail, but mom paid the price and got us each a Get Out Of Jail free card. The doctor, (Swine Flu's friend), tried to send me to jail later and put himself in there, but was soon informed about my card, and that's when his plan failed.

Much more dancing and hours later the social was over and we helped clean up. We drove home, I sent out some pictures, wrote this...mid blog I had a bath so I could stay awake to write the rest...and now, as I'm falling asleep again...I'm going to say Good Night xx

PS I tried to add pictures but Tara's computer won't let me. I will have to try to get an internet connection on mine elsewhere another time.

Day 47

I'M IN WINNIPEG!!!!!! What a trip!

I woke up this morning at 4:45 England time, got ready and Uncle Clifford was there to collect me at 5:45. Nodded off a couple of times on the way to the airport, but not too much. Once I checked in (3 and a half hours early), and found out there was an hour delay on my flight, Uncle Clifford and I headed upstairs for breakfast. We found a Starbucks and sat down for a drink and a muffin. We had a nice conversation, and then I went through security so that Uncle Clifford could leave. I had a few hours to wait on the other side so I looked around a few shops, and then I sat and people watched until my gate showed up on the screen.

When that happened, nothing much changed, except for where I was sitting. I went to the gate, and I proceeded to people watch there. Let's start at the feet...Green half sandle\half shoe, piglet socks...green pants so short that I could see her piglet socks...a navy and white hooped top, a black jacket, a mullet...and a billabong bag that matched the man's she was sitting with. - One of these things is not like the other - What are you doing carrying a Billabong backpack??? Anyway, to each their own. More people watching...so many good looking guys. There was the one Clark Kent type one who asked me to watch his bag. I clearly was not thinking when he asked me...because I said yes. Thank God he wasn't some creepy terrorist or something. I was smart enough to make sure he wasn't going too far without his bags, but realized instantly that I still shouldn't have said yes. Anyway, his look was very different. I thought he must have been French or Spanish or something. Turns out he's Canadian...that makes his style a little odd hahaha. He was still good looking in an odd way, but then he opened his mouth and started talking to the guy beside him about how he played for Canada's National Soccer Team, and then started running his mouth and it just wasn't attractive anymore. Then there was the guy across the way. OH MY GOODNESS! He was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous!!! I actually had to stop myself from staring. - A few times! - When I boarded the plane, it turned out he was sitting in front of me but off to the side enough that I had a good view for the full 7 hours. When I managed to peel my eyes away from him I watched "The Proposal", then "My Sister's Keeper" (Don't EVER watch that movie on a plane! Especially if it's your first time seeing it. I almost bawled my eyes out at least 4 times. The guy beside me must have thought I was nuts. After that movie it was "Imagine That". Throughout the duration of the 3 movies, I cannot believe ghow many inconsiderate people I saw. If you walk up to wait in line for the bathroom...and you're staring at a TV screen that's not 2cm away from your face...don't you think a row of people are in the middle of watching what's on that screen? Very few people caught on, though the ones that did were nice enough to move out of the way, I just couldn't believe some people. I had to laugh, and so did the guy beside me. A meal and a few waters, etc and I was in Toronto.

Went through customs no pronlem, made it to my luggage, then I took a train to terminal 1, checked in and dropped my baggage off. Went through security again and walked up to get....A PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE!!! I was so happy that I misplaced my passport folder with both passports in it!! Good thing I realized soon enough that it didn't get too far. That's all I needed. 11 hours and I hadn't misplaced it once. My first hour in Toronto and I can't find it. Tool! Went to sit at my gate and waited for the plane to board for Winnipeg.

While I waited there was a lady getting on my nerves. She clearly worked for the airline but was off today and was on Standby. Well, she knew every employee and made sure every passenger knew it. (My God! I thought). Then I get on the plane, and guess who I'm sitting next to...Chatty Cathy! And as if that wasn't enough, the guy that got on and sat next to her was just as bad! I think that he was a first time flyer, so he was asking miss know it all a bunch of questions. I was trying to read, but couldn't help over hearind their conversation. He had asked what the weirdest thing she had to deal with on a flight was, and she starts talking about a guy who had passed away on a flight. (Yeah, cuz that's what I want to hear about). MUPPET! Then she continued on about turbulance and whatever else she could think of. I watched a couple of episodes of The Office to drown them out, and once they turned on their TV's, I read more of my book while listening to music.

When we landed, I couldn't get off that plane fast enough. I practically ran from the plane to where the luggage comes out, as I knew that's where my mom would be waiting. The people in front of me were not moving quickly at all. I dodged them and gave my mom a huge hug. It was so nice to see her. I told her about how it was our pilot's last flight. After 35 years, he was retiring. As ceremonial tradition, when we touched down there were a number of fire trucks waiting on the tarmack, and they sprayed the plane as we drove by. Then, we got off the plane and pilots lined both walls with huge smiles on their faces. I guess to wish the pilot luck in his future endeavours.

Once my luggage came and we spoke to an old colleague of my dad's, mom and I were off. We searched for an open Starbucks but couldn't find one, and we went to Tara's to help my Tara make cookies for tomorrow's social. We came back to my Tara's, I showed her and mom things I bought as Christmas presents for the others, met Sean (Tara's BF), and showed them the parts of "Damage" that I'm in. It is now 12:33 Winnipeg time, which is 4:33 England time and that means by the time I get into bed, I will have been up more than 24 hours. On that note, I'm gonna go cuz I am exhausted! Good Night xx

Day 46

This is going to be a fairly short blog, I'm sorry. It is only 9:30 but I am exhausted and have to be up at 4:45 :| I'm not even going to have time tonight to carve the other pumpkin I was going to do for the boys.

Got up today and got the boys ready. Heloise had the day off though so I didn't have too much pressure on me once they were done eating breakfast. We did some of their homework so that they wouldn't have to do it last minute on Sunday, and then Josh and Nathaniel's friend Charlie and his sister (Zach's friend) Holly showed up. We got everyone's shoes on and then drove the older boys to school where they had football all day, and another one of Zach's friends Will (Charlie and Holly's cousin) met up with us. We strapped them in and drove to Braintree. The parking lot was packed so we left the car in the Freeport lot and walked over to our destination "Crazy Kids". It's a place like Go Bananas with slides, climbing structures and ball pits (I thought of you today Aunt Cindy) :p

Heloise and I sat upstairs. She did school work while I played DS, and read my book. After a lot of play time, the 3 children decided they wanted to have lunch there. Their time was almost up when they were about halfway through their meals so Heloise told me to walk to Starbucks and get myself a drink, and meet them back at the car :D On my way I found a store that could be my 2nd favourite (after the Bench store of course). It's a Scrapbooking store called the Paper Mill and it's got a WHOLE bunch of Snowman stuff!!! (A movie I loved when I was little and will find a copy of before I move back home :p)

Anyway, I got to Starbucks, waited in line, and when I approached the cash and asked for my drink, the girl (who I find rude) actually knew what I was talking about! Another girl came around the corner and asked what I had just ordered and the cashier told her it was a London Fog! Finally someone knew what I liked! Then the girl that makes the drinks was like oh that's my favourite!! - YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! I knew it was going to taste right! - As soon as that thought crossed my mind, I watched the cashier get my tea bags. She proceeded to open the packets with her teeth :| Gross right? I wasn't going to let it stop me from getting my drink...but I must admit, I am a little disturbed. Anyway, the girl who actually drinks them, finished my drink off, and I was on my way. It was delicious.

I met everyone back in the car and we drove home. When we arrived the 3 children played together and didn't need much assistance. Heloise continued with her work, and I did some stuff on my laptop. Charlie, Holly and Will's moms came over, bringing the older boys with them, and we all piled into cars to head to the movie theatres. We saw Fantastic Mr. Fox. It was AWESOME! Zach didn't seem to enjoy it at all...he talked through a lot of it which was kind of annoying, but he was talking to Heloise so I didn't pay too much attention and therefore wasn't too distracted. Josh and Nathaniel said they enjoyed it, and I think Heloise and I were the only 2 in the theatre that actually let our laughs out. We thought it was hilarious! As I was one of the only ones laughing, when it came to a certain part, I started laughing uncontrollably, but was doing it quietly, I was very close to an outburst though. It was great!

We got out of the theatre, found out some of the other kids we went with didn't enjoy it (crazy kids), and hopped into the car. We stopped at McDonalds on the way home where I got a burger (I know...I haven't done that in soooo long...and probably won't do it again for a long time). As we ate we drove the boys to Rugby. Nathaniel was too tired to go tonight, so him, Zach and I waited in the car while Heloise dropped Josh. We then waited to make sure Tim got there, and then headed home.

I washed my hair, packed and came downstairs to write my blog and watch some TV with Heloise and Tim. Found out I have to be up earlier than I thought...and so now I'm going to finish my tea and go to bed. Sorry this blog isn't nearly as exciting as yesterday's. Tomorrow's will be from Winnipeg :D YAYYYYY!!! Good Night xx

Day 45

Wow! I am one sleepy lady! ...A very large fish and chip dinner did not help the situation. But it was delicious nonetheless :p OMG, I'm watching the Man U game (which just ended and I won't give you the score), but in the last few minutes of the game, two guys in jeans and hoodies ran on, took the ball from the goalie, and kicked it in the net. Smart. Hope they enjoyed that live game, cuz they won't be seeing another one for a while.

So now that that's done...let's talk about my day. Up early as usual, boys ready to go by 8, in the car by 8:15...Once the dvd players and screens were set up we were on our way. (It was 8:30 by then). Stopped to pick up Josh's friend and his mom, and off to Norwich. About 2 hours later, lots of noise, and a little bit of good music (when I could hear it)...we arrived! BEWILDERWOOD!

This place was absolutely amazing. Sure it's made for children, but it's so well done. I know my family would love to see it. You walk in, and get on a boat that takes you down a little river/swampy bit called Scaaaaaaaaaary Lake, get sprayed at by a Crocklebog (Spikey crocodile looking thing named Mildred) that made Zack jump while I was holding him up to see it, and then you get to the dock, and the real adventure begins.

There are little homes everywhere for the Twiggles and Boggles. Tree houses bigger than a fairy's, probably perfect for a gnome. With suspension bridges connecting them. Then there were the human size ones.

Stairs to climb up, STEEP slides to get down. Big painted logs to step on, one to one. (We played tag on those for a bit). Then there was a MASSIVE suspension bridge really high up. Zach asked me to go with him so up we went. Across the little one, up some net ladders, then the long "broken bridge", and up some wooden steps. You then came to two slides which you could use to get down, or you could use the steps. I clearly chose the more fun choice. It was a blast. We went down some even steeper slides and tried to get pictures, but you go so fast everything was a blur. We went through a maze, and I found out the left hand on the wall doesn't work in England...at least, not at BeWILDerwood. But Josh and I still managed to race through and beat the other 3 boys to the top of the stairs. It was great. We then yelled directions down so that they could meet up with us...it was a little harder from the top than it should have been.

We took a break and because it was raining, we grabbed a perfect spot under cover. We pulled up a bean bag chair each, and enjoyed our food. Because it's close to Halloween children were welcome to wear costumes. Zack dressed as Jack Sparrow and after our meals, each of the boys made a bat mask in a little craft station. Then it was time for den making. Of course we found more fun on the way. There were zip wires, and logs to hop across, then the boys tried to make it across a hole using 3 ropes. Into the forest and the den making began. (By this time the memory on my phone ran out and I couldn't take any more pictures which was unfortunate...I really wanted to). After a few dens had collapsed and Heloise made the final one with a bit of help from her 3 boys, and criticism from Ben (Josh's friend), we decided to head back. It had been a good long day, but we couldn't leave without the boys getting a hot chocolate so we caught the end of a show on stage as we walked by, and then sat at a picnic table while they polished off their drinks.

We decided to take the trail back to the start, and stopped at the gift shop. Not for as long as I would have liked, but that was kind of understandable. Heloise didn't feel like buying the shop out today, and with 4 boys, it was bound to happen. Off to the car to start the 2 hour trek home. I fell asleep almost instantly, I don't think it was for long, but I nodded off a few times afterwards as well. The only ones who didn't fall asleep at least once, were Heloise (Thank goodness, as she was driving, and Ben). It was a really nice quiet drive home and I could hear the music. The boys enjoyed some movies, and after what seemed like forever, we arrived at the Fish and Chip shop. Heloise and Trudy (Ben's mom) ran in while the rest of us waited in the car telling jokes. We then dropped Trudy and Ben off, and continued home. We ate, the boys watched Spongebob, and then they went up to get ready for bed.

Now that I'm done writing this, I'll throw in the pictures and will be asleep as soon as my head hits that pillow. It was a fun day, but was definitely draining. I'm looking forward to tomorrow :D And although it's a long flight Thursday, I CAN'T WAIT!!!! Will write soon :D Good Night xx

Day 44

What a day. I'm exhausted. Physically. Not ready for bed, but am very grateful to be curled up on the couch in front of the TV with a cup of tea. - Speaking of, I'll need a refill very soon-

I got up at my regular time even though the boys have the week off school. I know they don't sleep in on weekends so I thought I better be up in case they are being mischievous around the house. Well I get downstairs and the first thing Josh says is "GUESS WHAT TIME I GOT UP!" so I said I didn't really care (cuz he tries to fight me about it each day), and he said "5:45!!" I said yeah, cuz you're crazy! His response was "No, cuz I wanted to beat you, and I finally did!" I told him how ridiculous that is...if he's up earlier than me who is going to make his breakfast? He didn't seem to care. The rest of the morning was much of the same. I won't go into too much detail but let's just say I laid some rules down. Nathaniel and Zach cleaned up the playroom, and I got all of their stuff ready for their multi sports (Sports Day).

At around 9:40 we left for the school. When we arrived I walked them in, past the good looking guys running the course. Said good bye and came home. The woodworm guy was here so I checked my e-mails etc, and when he left I got changed and did my work out. I really needed it. It felt great. Once I was done that, I got changed and made my way to Braintree. I didn't have too much time so I did what had to be done first. Pretty much finished up my Christmas shopping, and went to grab a Satrbucks for the road. I got to the front of the line, and they were out of Soy :( I left Braintree a little crushed. - I did however get a bit of a lead while I was there, that I hope to follow up with in the very near future -

Drove to the school and waited outside for about 10 minutes. Watched the coaches hand out medals to each participant, and then went in to collect the boys. Once we got back into the car, we went home for just over an hour where the boys watched Spongebob, and then we headed off to swimming. Uncle Clifford met us there, Zach did a great job today! He listened soooo well! I was very happy. I drove home, Uncle Clifford followed so that I could drop the car off, and then drove the 4 of us back to his house.

The boys swam with Dan, Joe and Ben, and Uncle Clifford ordered pizza for all of us. When they got out of the pool, Joe and I did a puzzle, and spoke about his excitement for the arrival of his new baby sister. Then we all sat down to eat. Well...the kids and I. I was exhausted by this point. I found it hard to keep my eyes open, and my insanity in tact haha. It's always so loud when the Preddy family gets together. Especially with 5 children.

We left right after dinner, I got the boys ready for bed and read Nathaniel the rest of his novel. I then came downstairs, grabbed a penguin and some tea, watched How I Met Your Mother and Friends, and now Heloise is watching Emma as I type. I'm gonna go skype with my sis, and then to bed soon after. Tomorrow's going to be a long day. We're driving 2 hours to go to Bewilderwood I believe it's called. Should be interesting. Good Night xx

Day 43

I'm getting sleepy so I thought I should start typing out my blog for the day, while I finish watching "PS I Love You" - Great movie!

I didn't have any knocks at the door this morning, (which was incredible) but I still managed to wake up earlier than I had hoped. I don't know what's wrong with me lately. Damn 8am! I want a to get a good sleep in, and soon!!

Anyway, I got out of bed and got ready. More loud music today :D That always puts me in a good mood. Took my time and eventually went downstairs to have my breakfast and watch a couple of episodes of the office. Heloise was working beside me.

The boys got home from football. - I think they both ended up winning 4-0. Nathaniel scored 2 of his team's 4 goals, and apparently almost got a 3rd, but an opponent knocked it away. - So they were home and we all had lunch and Josh and I watched some music videos and things on You Tube. Then it was lunch. By the time we ate that the boys just had time for a shower, and then Uncle Clifford was at the door waiting to take us to his house.

When we arrived Charlie, Nan, Aunty Linda and Uncle John were there. Soon after, Dan (my cousin), Ben and Joe (his boys) showed up. Ben said he remembered me a little bit, and he knew my name. Joe had been so little the last time I saw him, I didn't bother asking if he'd remembered me. There was a whole lot of chaos as at one point there were 14 people there at once. A number of us went in to the family room to watch Liverpool vs Man U. I took a lot of flack from Josh as I am a Liverpool fan, and he is die hard Man U and no one else is even close to being as good, in his eyes. I then found out I was not the only Liverpool fan in the room. I had back up :D Charlie is as well. I knew I loved him :p - I won't tell you the score as I'm not sure my dad and brother have watched the game yet. - At half time everyone but Josh, Nan and I went in different directions. Some for walks, others for a drive to Heloise's. We stayed behind to finish watching the game. Once everyone returned, the young ones were going in the pool with Uncle Clifford, and Dan. Charlie and I were sitting in the kitchen trying to watch TV, but Josh changed the channel in the other room and screwed the TV up. So while I was trying to fix that, Charlie decided to go for a swim as well. After the TV's were figured out, I went and sat with Nan to watch everyone in the pool. They seemed to be having a great time. By then Josh had to leave with Heloise to get to his swimming lesson.

When they all got out of the pool, it was time for dinner. We enjoyed a "quiet as the Preddy family gets" meal, with the boys in the other room, and then had some dessert. Sat in the family room for a few minutes afterwards, Joe was sick :( Poor little guy. And then the Peterborough crew left. :( Hopefully I will see all of them again soon. Nan was full of hugs today. It was very nice.

Tim arrived just before they took off, and soon after, Heloise and Josh returned. The 3 of them ate their dinner, and I had a delicious piece of chocolate brownie type cake -It was heaven- with some honeycomb ice cream and some fruit. We finished up, and the boys were ready to go.

Nathaniel fell asleep on the way home, so when we pulled in the drive, I carried him up to his room...well Zach's room. He had woken up by then, but wasn't feeling well. I said good night and came downstairs to watch the amazing Michael Buble perform on X Factor, and then turned "PS I Love You" on...and here I am. It's over now. Perfect timing.
Good Night xx

Day 42

I'm sitting here watching "Taken" with Heloise and Tim. It's such a great movie, but I thought I should write my blog at the same time. That way I won't be falling asleep as I'm telling you about the days events.

As I am sure you can guess by now, I was woken up this morning. You will be surprised however, to hear that it was not Josh knocking at my door this morning, but Nathaniel. He knocks about 10 times louder than Josh, and then yells "Can I come in??" Having just been woken up, I didn't answer. I wasn't very happy, and wanted to just fall back to sleep. Well...that didn't happen. lol. He went downstairs, but there was no way I could sleep again. I was wide awake.

I laid in bed for about an hour, checking e-mails and such until no one was home. Then I did my favourite thing to do on a Saturday. I got ready, my music blaring, and I used my new make up.
Time to myself, loud music...not another sound in the house. It was great. When I was finished getting ready I came downstairs, grabbed my purse, and walked up to the co-op to get some milk for my breakfast. I came back, caught up on the Big Bang Theory, enjoyed my cereal, some green tea, and read some of "Midnight Sun".

Nathaniel and Josh came home from Judo, Zach from a friends house. While Tim, Heloise and Zach talked, Josh went upstairs and Nathaniel came to sit with me and watch a couple of music videos. For some reason he had been wanting to watch "Thriller" since Thursday. We got about a minute and a half in, when Michael is about to turn into a werewolf, and that was enough for him. He did not want to watch it anymore. So we watched "Beat It", and then "Eye of the Tiger". He got changed, and then we were off. Nathaniel overtook Josh in the sticker department after the last couple of days, so he won for the week and decided we would go ice skating together.

I drove to the rink no problem, and was very impressed with myself as I had never driven to Chelmsford before. We waited in line, luckily it went quickly, and we got into our skates. It was Disco time so music was playing and there were strobe lights and everything. It was awesome. Nathaniel however didn't think so. He lasted about half an hour, 40 minutes, and that was enough. He doesn't enjoy things he's not great at. He fell a few times, but I was able to hold him up for the most part. Still though, he was not a fan. We got off the ice, and he decided that's not something he'll want to do again. So we drove to the Chelmsford shops. After we parked we got our pictures taken in a photo booth, and then went into Starbucks, and sat down together with our drinks. We spoke about a number of different things, and really enjoyed ourselves. Then we went into Next where I picked up another Christmas present. Almost finished now.

We came home and I wrote some letters while he did his homework beside me. The other 2 boys got home from painting lines on the football fields with Tim, and dinner was ready. Once we ate and they had their desserts, it was time for them to go up to bed. I watched Juno, High School Musical 3, and then Taken. I will probably go upstairs very soon and catch up on the Office...then go to sleep. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. Lots of family are coming, and I'm supposed to be seeing my cousin finally!!! I'm so excited. But I will talk about that tomorrow. Good Night xx

Day 41

I'm lying in bed listening to the new Michael Buble album, because my mom is the BEST!!!

I woke up today and discovered I am much better at getting up at 6, then I am at 6:30. I have more energy and am a much happier person. - Weird...I know - Anyway, I jumped out of bed, got ready and was downstairs before anyone else. Did the breakfast thing, and as I was getting fruit for the boys, Tim brought a parcel in for me. "I never get mail!" Was my reaction :p It was from my mom. I didn't know what it was. I racked my brain trying to figure out if she had told me anything was coming...Nope. Last I was told, I was getting my things when I'm in Canada NEXT WEEK! So I thought hmm what could it be. I waited until I had a few minutes on my own, and I ripped into the packaging. There was a card, a 4 eyeshadow pallet from Mac, and Michael Buble's CD!!!! I had a huge smile on my face, put it in my room and got the boys ready for school. Homework, shoes etc.

It was just before we had to leave, and Josh absolutely exploded. I wish I was joking. I told the boys to get their coats, and before I knew it Josh was SCREAMING at me at the top of his lungs, and was all of a sudden in tears, walking around in circles and then stomped his way upstairs while he continued screaming. It was all about his sweatshirt. He couldn't find it (as if that was my fault), and he was freaking out. I told him he would have to go without because I was not letting him make the other two late for school. More screaming, and so high pitched I don't know how I understood him. He came back down and screamed some more. Told me it was my fault he wasn't ready cuz I had him sit on the couch while Nathaniel did his homework (because he was being disruptive). I explained that he was wrong because he ALWAYS has his sweatshirt around his waist when he comes downstairs. He wouldn't have it, but I didn't care. I was not letting him get away with treating me the way he did. I was zipping Zach's coat up, and Josh was still saying he wasn't going to school without it. I told him there had to be at least one in his drawer because I folded 3 lastnight. He went back upstairs in a huff, and to no surprise showed up with one in his arms. I could have screamed. All that because he didn't open his eyes. I later told Heloise the story, and before I got to the part about me saying he always had it around his waist, she said it. When we got home later she found the one he clearly had on earlier lying on the bathroom floor. What a morning!

After that fiasco, we made a quick trek to the school. Construction guy wasn't there again. We finally got to the school. I gave Josh his hug, off he went. Then Nathaniel hugged me and went to line up, and then Zach and I waited for his class to be let in.

When I got back, I got changed and got on the wii. I did my weigh in, and my work out to Michael Buble, and when I was finished it felt great. I changed back into my clothes and went down to play High School Musical Sing It! That's right...I'm not ashamed to say it. I also finished it, cuz my singing is just that good :p HAHA yeah right. Another thing on the wii that lies :p Checked some stuff out on the computer, and then went off to get Zach.

I walked up quickly, picked him up, and we waited outside the gate for Heloise. When she arrived, we walked to the car. We saw a friend of Zach's grandparents so we stopped to talk. Zach went up to the lamp post, put his hand on it and ended up getting a sliver. Heloise and I did some intense surgical procedures. - Me with the pin, her with her nails - After a while I had gotten it out enough that she could use her nails and pull the rest.

We drove up to the garden centre and looked around. Then went into the coffee shop for lunch. It was delicious! When we finished we went back into the centre where Heloise picked up a few things, and then we headed home.

When we arrived Zach and I watched some TV, and the two of us played DS until it was time to go get the boys. (I've found a new puzzle game I like, and it works in mine!!!) Heloise, the wee one, and I got into the car and drove to pick up Nathaniel, his friend Archie, Zach's friend Will, and Josh's friend Edward. We drove back to the house, and they were all occupying each other for the most part, so aside from getting some toys down for them, I was free to relax a bit. Nathaniel had to leave at 4:30 for football (Soccer), and so Heloise took Archie back to the school around the same time, and picked up Josh and his friend Oliver. The house was absolutely packed for dinner.

As the boys were eating, I ran up to get a coat because I was freezing. I didn't plan on eating dinner tonight cuz I was going to the movies and was getting popcorn, but when I returned from my room, Heloise had a plate full of food ready for me so I couldn't say no. I finished that and said good night to Josh and Zach, and Toni came to pick me up. We drove out to Braintree and watched "The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus" It was unfreakinbelievable! An amazing movie! So well done, and one of the best I've seen I think. Very hard to explain just how good it was, but it had everything going for it. The talent - Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law! The graphics, the story line. It was AWESOME! - OH! and if you're wondering, I of course had to get popcorn, whether I ate dinner or not...because well...I was at the movies :p

I got home and spoke to my mom for a bit, but soon after, I came upstairs as I was frozen and soooo tired! Now that I'm done my blog, and done listening to Michael Buble for the 2nd and a half time today, I am going to go to sleep. Skating tomorrow I think. It should be good.

There's so much noise going on outside right now...I don't know why. Cars in the driveway and such...and there was a bang at my door...but I'm going to tune that all out very soon, as my eyes are shutting as I sign off. Good Night xoxox

Day 40

ONE MORE WEEK!!! - And it will be a very busy one - The boys start their half term tomorrow, which means they have the week off. I have a feeling it's going to get chaotic. Anyway, we'll talk more about that on Monday. For now...it's only Thursday :p Day 40! Wow! It really has gone by fast. I can't believe it.

Out of bed today. Moved a little slowly to begin with because it was so cozy and dark in my room, but I got my act together in the end. Went downstairs and handled breakfast, then homework, and cleaned the playroom.

Drove the boys to school. 1st location, then 2nd location...and then I had to be home to wait for the gas man. (No he wasn't young and good looking). When I arrived, Monika was here to clean. We talked for a few minutes and then I went up to get changed and go on the wii. There is something seriously wrong with that balance board. Nonetheless, I tried to weigh myself, but it didn't make much sense and I have no idea if I'm doing well or not. I hate working out when other people are here so aside from Tuesday, this week has been terrible for that.

I went upstairs to pack and do my hair. Accepted two parcels at the door, and then the gas man arrived as Monika left. He did what he had to do...the wood worm guy didn't show up, (He's the annoying/rude one). I finished my hair and burnt a cd. Grabbed some lunch and was out the door.

I drove to Braintree, just to run in and get a Starbucks. I did pretty well for the most part. Got off an exit too early on the round-a-bout but knew I had as soon as I did it, so I was able to correct it fairly quickly. Got to freeport and decided that unless the good looking guy was there, I would get a caramel macchiato. Well, I walked in the door and he was there. I was so excited I would be able to have my regular drink!!! I stood in line behind two guys who seemed to know the cashier, and they talked for what seemed like 10 minutes. (Probably only because I wanted to be in and out in case I got lost on the way back. - I didn't want to be late picking Zach up). The good looking guy looked over, and told the cashier to stop chatting and help the next customer. She ignored him the first time or didn't hear him, so he repeated himself and then she realized and served me. *The older lady at Starbucks calls him the Zac Effron look a like* When the girl realized it was me, she said "It's an Earl Grey Tea right?" I felt SO special! They know my drink already. YAY!!!! Unfortunately as I said yes, I realized the guy was cleaning, not making the drinks. So I suddenly got very nervous. He looked over a few times while they made it, but had no hand in it so I was afraid it wouldn't taste right. The girl put it on the counter for me, I sprinkled my chocolate (which is more like a cocoa powder here and not as good), and off I went. Walking back to the car I took a sip, and to my surprise...it tasted great!! I was so happy!!

I got in the car and drove back to Coggeshall without too much difficulty. Almost took the wrong turn a couple of times, but remembered where I was, and got to the school with plenty of time to spare. ...On a side note for a minute...HOLY EFF YOU SHOULD SEE THE SIZE OF THE SPIDER DOWN HERE!!! EWWWWW! ...I sat in the car listening to my new CD, and when a certain song came on, I was suddenly completely in tune with my mind, watching the clouds go by in a reflection on the car in front of me and almost in tears. I waited until it finished, and when it was time I got out and went up to Zach's school.

I waited for the instructors to open the gate, and Zach came out. We held hands and he skipped back to the car. We got in, and I decided we'd drive home and then walk up to get Nathaniel because it was SUCH a nice day, and I was hoping I'd be able to say hi to the construction guy. As we passed, I didn't see him. Zach and I walked and talked as he dragged the branch he picked up along the way. We stood waiting for Nathaniel, and Zach was tired so he jumped into my arms. Nathaniel came out, and we walked home. Still no sign of the construction guy. Just some coworkers.

When we got home we grabbed everything from the car. - I had to leave it there before cuz we were in a hurry to get Nathaniel - We went inside, I made dinner while the two of them played Wii and DS, and then Josh got home. After kebabs, potatoes and green beans, the boys got ready for Judo, and Heloise got home.

I folded some laundry, and then Zach and I got his lego starwars ship out of the cupboard. We were going to put it together, but soon realized one of the bags of lego was missing. NEXT. We we found a game called "Odd Socks". It wasn't nearly as fun as it sounds. We then got out Hullabaloo which was AWESOME! You put these 16 different shaped pads on the floor, and then push the button on this speaker and it tells you what colour, shape, or subject to stand on, or put your nose on or whatever, and it keeps switching it up. If you end up on the image it says last, you win and do a crazy dance. It was pretty fun, and helps them learn shapes and colours. I ate dinner, and then Zach was wanting to play something else. Heloise and Tim left for parent teacher interviews, and I took Zach up to put him in the shower. We pretended he was a sausage (His favourite thing), and wrapped him in pastry (a towel), and rolled it out. (Rolled him in his towel on the bed to dry him off). His giggles were awesome. Once we were finished, we went downstairs and opened one of his many unopened toys. It was a fighter jet. He played with that while I had my dessert, and then we sat down to read Robin Hood. Josh and Nathaniel got home in the middle of that story, and the 3 of them sat and cuddled me for the next story "George and the Dragon". When that one was done Nathaniel said he wasn't feeling well.

It was 8:30 by this time, so I took the 3 of them up to bed and tucked them in. I went downstairs to make some tea. Before the kettle finished boiling, Josh was down there telling me that the other two were complaining about being sick. I went up to see what was going on, and Nathaniel said he definitely needed a bucket beside his bed. Josh got a sick tub for him, and once everything was done, I went down to drink my tea. Very soon after I got a call from Nathaniel saying he wanted to be sick but couldn't. (Sorry for the graphic details). Poor little guy, I went up and he was not looking good at all. I told him to come lie on the couch and by the time I dragged his bucket, comforter, and pillows downstairs and laid him down, Heloise and Tim walked in the door. I explained what was going on, and after sitting with him for a few minutes, they decided to move him into their room.

I came on my computer to write my blog, send some e-mails, and was watching Scrubs with them until just now when my computer died. I'm now lying in bed, might read, and will fall asleep very quickly I am sure. Good Night xx

Day 39

8 more sleeps! Speaking of sleep...I'm tired. Wouldn't you know it, I finally got upstairs early and thought ok, I'll write my blog, maybe a couple of letters, and then go to sleep...and my internet keeps crashing. I'm using Safari now instead of Firefox, so hopefully this works, at least until I'm done for the night.

Today was better emotionally. I was still sad, and the rain doesn't help. But I got to hang out with Heloise all day, so that was nice. We dropped the boys off at school and
went straight into Colchester to return a coat that didn't fit one of the boys. We looked around in Next, got some shampoo in Boots, took my ring into the jewellers, went to Gap Kids, and then went for a Starbucks. - I got a caramel macchiato today cuz I couldn't handle another earl grey tea misto that didn't taste right :( And the guy that knows how to make it wasn't there -

After we finished our drinks, we hurried to the car and drove to pick up Zach and his friend Xavier from school. When we g
ot there the two of them came out, and we drove home. I was in demand right away (which was kind of nice). Zach a
sked me to build one of his Bionicles for him. So I did. For some reason his gun won't work...but that's probably for the best. It spins around, it just won't shoot.

We had some lunch, and then the groceries arrived so Heloise and I put them away. While we were doing that the boys were off playing together. It was too quiet for comfort so I went to see what they were doing (and it's a good thing!) They were playing in Josh's room, which I knew, and they had an old mini mattress lying on the floor. (Another thing I knew about. They were supposed to be using it to "box" on)...Instead I found Zach hanging off a bunk bed, with Xavier hanging onto some huge wooden thing (Maybe a headboard from a child's old bed), and he was dangling it off the top bunk saying Zach you have to do it! When I asked them what they were doing...the answer was simple. "We're jumping off the top bunk on to the mattress...it's my turn now" said Xavier oh so innocently. I DON'T THINK SO! Apparently Zach had already
had his turn. I put a stop to it. I couldn't believe they'd even think of doing that. I told them to come downstairs and we would carve the pumpkin.

We got to the main level and I went on the internet to give them some ideas about pumpkin carving designs. (Zach had never carved one before...I later found out none of the boys have). We came across the design Zach wanted, and I went to work. Not thinking hmm this could be challenging...Hence the difficulty level that said...Challenging. Nope instead I thought, if Zach wants this one, this is the one he's getting. Oops!
I drew it on a piece of paper first. Something I thought I'd use as a stencil. That's when Xavier's mom came to pick him up. I finished the drawing and Zach and I went into the kitchen to put it on the pumpkin. The pumpkin we had was the one I had picked up to make pumpkin cheesecake...and it was too small for the
picture. I decided Zach and I would run up to the Co-Op and get a bigger one. That was fine...until Zach realized that Heloise was going to pick up the boys. Of course that meant it would just be him and I...and he couldn't have that. He went with her.

I waited until they got home so that I could take the car, (As it was pouring rain), and Josh and Zach were waiting when I got in. *Nathaniel had to go to Beavers* I jumped in, and we drove up to the Co-Op. After walking around the small store about 5 times, I finally asked someone if they had any more pumpkins left in the back, as there were none out front. The guy helping was very good looking. He went to the back, but when he returned, the pumpkin was no bigger than the one we had at home. We got back into the car and drove to the deli. Same thing happened there. We drove home to make sure we had time to go to Tescos, and Heloise asked me to pick something up for her as well.

Back in the car I got and on our way to Tescos, I remembered a produce type farm shop that was on the way. As we were driving passed we looked over and there were a TON of pumpkins sitting out front in the rain. I pulled in, and by this time Zach was
asleep. Josh and I got out of the car, and right away he found the biggest pumpkin there. It was perfect! We went in and paid and continued on our way to Tescos. I carried Zach in. He was awake now, but too tired to walk. We picked up a few things, and then I carried him out and we drove home.

When we got there, I put the pumpkin on the counter and started gutting it with Josh and Zach at my side. They both wanted to feel inside, but that's about all they would do aside from watching. Josh and Nathaniel had to go off to rugby and I was trying to tape the drawing to the pumpkin, but it wasn't working out too well. In the end I managed,
but I didn't have much help from Zach. We ate our dinner and then it was back to work for me. Zach wasn't too interested in helping...just wanted to know how long it would take.

A little while later, and a few different techniques tried out, the pumpkin was done!! (Zach was being put to bed at this point, and the other 2 had just got in and were upstairs, so they have yet to see the end result. I hope they like it.
I came up to wash my hair, then decided I would have an early night, and that's when the internet problems began. I'm still going to try to be asleep by 11 though so I better say
good night. I'm hoping tomorrow will be a busy day, and I feel a sore throat coming on so I need my rest.

Good Night xx

Day 38

9 MORE SLEEPS! And this week has been the slowest so far! Normally it's Friday before I know it...but these last 2 days have just draaaaaaagged on. Most likely because I'm really looking forward to my Winnipeg/Toronto trip.

I woke up today and my room was PITCH BLACK! It was so nice, and made it very hard to get out of bed. I think there should be a rule...when it's dark outside, you should be allowed to go back to sleep until the sun comes up and wakes you. Do you think ANYONE would complain about that? Honestly...who decided the work and school day hours?

Anyway, I got ready and went downstairs to find 3 very lost boys. I guess Tim had gone to work early, and they woke up early, so they didn't know what to do with themselves. - They don't get their own breakfasts - I got them ready, poured mine, and ate while getting their next course, and the one after that.

Josh drew me a nice picture of the two of us on a plane. (He's hoping when I move back to Canada, he'll be able to fly back with me and visit for a week on his own...then have his family meet him out there for a holiday). It would be very cool, but we will have to see what happens.

We drove to school, and despite me having to tell the boys to get their coats on a few times, we were early. We stuck around waiting for Nathaniel's class to go in, and then Zach and I drove to Angels. By the time we got there, the doors were closed. I hate that Nathaniel's class goes in late on a daily basis. It makes me look so irresponsible at Angels. I left Zach, and jumped back in the car to drive home.

Once I got here, I checked my cafe and my farm, and then got on the wii. It lied to me, I got angry...(Not really...just frustrated). I then moved it over and got a completely different result to the previous one. It's so annoying, but I can still do the exercises without a problem so that's pretty much what I use it for. I did my work out, and then had a shower and got dressed. Had the last of the cold turkey in a sandwich with some cranberries and mayonnaise, spoke to some people online and drove up to Braintree. This time I looked at the directions once, and got there without needing to turn around! I was so proud of myself.

I parked and went into the shopping area. First I stopped at Past times where I finally got a new Claddagh ring, and a gift. Then I went into the "shop around the corner", picked up a card and went into Starbucks. I ordered my drink and sat down to write a letter to the little guy I used to babysit. I can't wait for him to get the card. I know he's going to love it.

While it was nice to be in my own little world, and just have the background music and the faded out noises of other customers conversations...it let me think a little too much. And as I wrote, I got sad. I had to hold in some tears, as the more I think of things, the more I miss home. Soon enough it was time to go get Zach. I got back in the car, and without directions or anything, I made my way back without fault. Listening to Taylor Swift was nice, but probably didn't help my mood at all. Her album is very good, but is slow and sappy, and not the best type of thing to listen to when you're on the verge of tears.

I got to Angels and was super early, so I finished writing the letter, and then wandered around the little town, browsing in a couple of different shops. Now when I say little...I mean LITTLE! I walked into this candy shop, expecting it to be like Sugar Mountain. - A hall of candy dishes and tons to choose from - Well, there was a ton to choose from...but you walked in the door, and literally a step and a half would take you right up to the counter. A step in either direction to the side, and you were at a different part of the counter. It was pretty much you, standing in a little box, with the employee just 2 feet away waiting for you to make a purchase. I didn't. I held myself back, and decided I didn't need anymore junk food. Tomorrow, aside from my penguin after dinner, it is VERY strict rules. My will power has flown out the window this past month, and I need to get it back.

So after looking around the shops, I went to get Zach and for the first time ever...he was one of the first out. He took my hand and skipped back to the car. He talked all about the noisy boy behind us and how "he's a bit annoying" haha. Then when we got back to the car I realized he had gone in with a jacket, and came out without one. (Something these boys are famous for). We decided we would run back and get it...and by we...and run...I mean, I carried him and walked briskly. As we did the trek this time he showed me where he had done a Christmas play last year. A Christmas play in which he was a pirate. (This reminds me of Love Actually and the Christmas lobster). He told me all about the sword, and the gun that he had, and went on to discuss the cold bullets that were in his gun. (I got the feeling he thinks if it's a fake gun the bullets are cold, and if it's real and will hurt someone, the bullets are hot). He then went on to say that Jesus was black. But the REAL Jesus, is green. It took everything in me not to laugh. But I was enjoying his story so much, I did not want to interrupt. In the middle of his story we had collected his coat, and made our way back to the car.

As we were pulling into the driveway he was talking about how he wants to buy a race car when he's older. He says he would like to race Volvos. I said well that would be a cool job, being a race car driver. He began to ask questions about money, and how much they would make. But I think he meant to ask how much it would cost to buy a race car, because he then began to talk about how much money he had saved up, and asked if he'd have to use it all. I told him he'd have to save for quite a while...that's when he said will I have to use all of the money in my money box? I said probably, and then he told me he had a thousand pound. I said "A thousand pound? Really!? How did you end up with that?" And the next 5 minutes was all about how he found it in the flat next door. He snuck in when they were downstairs, and he had his knife and gun, and took the money without them knowing. (What an imagination!) You'll be happy to hear though that he would not have hurt me with his knife and gun. Hahaha. What a guy.

We went inside, I did some laundry, and got him his strawberries. By the time I put a new load in and was hanging the wet to dry, Uncle Clifford arrived. He had picked up the other 2, and was here to take us back to his place. I got in the car and Josh and Nathaniel said my name in unison. It was very nice that they were so happy to see me.

We drove to Uncle Clifford's house where we sat and did their homework. Josh read to me while Nathaniel and I played Tic Tac Toe...or Knots and Crosses as they call it here. I won against Nathaniel a bunch of times, and when Josh finished his homework, I beat him at it as well. I retired champion and we all got in the pool.

After are swim Heloise arrived and we sat down to eat. The boys were well behaved for the most part, which was very nice to see. We finished up and Heloise drove us home. When we arrived I helped the boys get into their pyjamas, said good night, and went downstairs to fold laundry. I spoke to some people online, and watched the Liverpool game. Now I'm in bed. I was ready to fall asleep at 8:30...it's now 11 and I am passed the point of being tired. I am exhausted. So until tomorrow,

Good Night xx

Day 37

Okay, so I'm sitting here CRAZY tired...but frozen (So I don't want to move), and didn't eat until gone 7:30 so I can't go to bed yet.

Today was a slow one. Not great. I guess it was bound to happen. I was having to good of a time :p Not to say I didn't enjoy part of my day, but it started off badly and didn't end to well either.

Woke up and didn't have any Soy milk, but I knew that so I had planned to go to the post office and the Co-Op all at the same time after dropping the boys off - so that I could still enjoy my cereal.

...Ok...I'm going to have to put this on hold, (not that you'd be able to tell) and hop in the shower cuz I'm freezing. I'll be back :p

So got ready sans cereal. Got the boys ready and walked them to school. I didn't see construction guy. Came back and filled out everything I needed to for the post office and drove up to the Co-op. They didn't have my regular soy milk so I picked up a different brand which seems to taste the same, just a little watery. Then I drove to the post office where I would spend the next 45 MINUTES!

I picked up the enveloppe I needed, brought it to the cash and paid. I then stood in line (which always takes forever cuz for some reason the people that run the post office part of the store are crazy slow), got to the lady and before I could say anything, she told me to put my parcel on the scale. I did that and she said 1st class is this much, 2nd class is this much. Well stupid me assumed that the one that cost more would be the one I needed. (Apparently that's not the case, and I should have known). She asked if I'd sealed the enveloppe and I said no not yet. She handed me a sticker and I was trying to say, don't I need a label to write the address and also to tell customs what it is? She wouldn't listen though. She kept interrupting and saying she had given me the sticker (which was no good to me cuz it was the first class stamp she had given me and nothing else). She told me to seal the enveloppe and I told her I had to address it first. She wasn't impressed. I moved to the side to do that and when I finished, I got back in line. (Which I thought was a pretty decent thing to do). Waited forever again, and when I got to the front there was a trainee on the other till. I started walking towards her but knew she wouldn't know the answer to the first lady's mistake. Well before I could even say anything the lady looked at me and went "Put it in the bag". I tried to say and it will make it to the states? And she cut me off, only to repeat herself. "Put it in the bag!" So I completely transformed into someone else. It was not me at all. I rarely stick up for myself. But I raised my voice and said "And it will get to the States?" Well! You should have seen her face. It was as if someone had just given her devistating news. "NO!" she said. "I asked you twice if you wanted first class or 2nd class". I spoke up for myself then too as she was yelling at me in front of a line of people and was belittling me. Making me look like a complete moron, when I fully knew it wasn't my fault. I explained that I had tried to say it before and she interrupted me this time as well! Saying that wasn't true, and again she chose to ignore what I was saying. She told me to move to the side and wait.

As I stood there I ran through what I would say if she tried to blame me again. And I wasn't planning on being nice about it either. I was going to explain that she kept interrupting and was more interested in the customer behind me, and that in CANADA we don't call it first class or whatever...it is international. I didn't get the chance. She served two other people before getting back to me. She finally told me to go back to the counter, and when I did she didn't say anything. She rung in whatever she had to (I'm sure I paid more than I should have), and told me to put my card in the machine. Then, I'm reading the directions on the machine, as one normally does. And it prompts me to type in my pin. So I start to. Well Ms. Power trip tells me "NOT YET!" So I take my hand away, leaving the pin typed in, and not 2 minutes later she says, ok now. (Screw you lady). So I push enter and of course it was fine, it went through. Then, I was going to say Thank you, cuz that's the way I am. I was fighting with myself. Told myself I should be the better person and just do it. She slid my receipt under the glass without looking at me...THEN...and this is what pushed me over the edge. She started a conversation with the guy behind her. Didn't look up, didn't say bye. Didn't appologize for her mistake! I wondered if I should make a point of saying bye. Wondered if she was actually finished with me. I sort of started to turn to walk away and thought...No...she can't be that rude. Surely there's something else. Still nothing! (And there was still a huge line up, but she didn't dare look my way). That's when I thought SCREW THIS! And I turned, and walked out. I could not believe it! I was honestly SO close to tears. It was crazy. I jumped in the car, and really upset, I drove home.

Once I got there, I only had time for a bowl of cereal. I couldn't even wait for my tea to cool down. I didn't have time to even weigh myself in, let alone do a work out. All because of it taking 45 minutes to mail a parcel! Ridiculous! I had to go get Zach. I walked up to the school, got a smile and a good morning, and that's where my day began to get better. (That would only last a few hours though).

Walked into Zach's class to get him and his first question was "Where's Mommy?" ... Great.
I told him she was at school and that was that (Thank goodness). He took my hand and we started home. He found a stick and a large branch in the woods (on the pathway), and was carrying both when we got to the end. I told him he had to leave the big one, but could bring the smaller one home. He placed the branch on the ground, and then took his stick, and started writing his name in the dirt. I was showing him how to draw a "Z", and we were right in front of the construction worker when Zach asked if I wanted him to make a german car or a digger. I said sure. Little did I know he meant draw it in the gravel/dirt right in front of the guy. We hung out there for about 5 minutes. Him explaining what each part of the digger was, and me asking where the wheels were etc. The construction guy was laughing at us and smiled. I asked Zach if he was finished and he decided he was so we continued on our way.

We did have a lovely walk home. It was very nice. I will not deny that. We got back and he wanted to watch TV so he did that and played DS while I got lunch ready. He sat and ate with me, and then went back to TV and the DS afterwards. I took this opportunity to create the new star chart and catch up on Desperate Housewives episodes.

Soon enough it was time to go get Nathaniel, and this is where the day started going wrong for the 2nd time. We got to the school and I had some very nice cuddles from Zach who was now hanging in my arms waiting for Nathaniel. But then once Nathaniel got out of class and we went back to the car, things were getting crazy. Zach doesn't understand the time crunch we run into on a Monday. We have to pick Nathaniel up at 3:20 to get to swimming for 3:30 and have them changed and in the pool for 3:45. There was a lot of me repeatedly saying quick and please hurry, and quite frankly, I get tired of it each week. I had carried him back to the car, but then he takes forever to get in. We race to the pool, and I'm trying to get him changed in a hurry but he's not paying attention. He's looking everywhere else and is missing putting his leg through the right hole in his swimsuit. I tried to get him to concentrate but there's no use some days.

We finally got into the pool area, and unfortunately he was the same as the previous weeks. He would not pay attention in class, and wasn't listening to his instructor. As good of a swimmer as he is, he doesn't do the right thing, at the right time. I had to tell him to listen about 5 times, and he still didn't. He got in trouble after class, and didn't like it. We raced back to get Josh from football at 4:30, and got home at 5. I made dinner while the boys played Wii and Josh took care of my farm and cafe.

They finished dinner and desserts and went back to doing what they had been doing before we ate. I was hanging laundry when Heloise and Tim came home. Heloise made dinner for us. It was delicious. She cooked some tuna steaks and baked potato. I threw my tuna into a salad and really enjoyed it. She got the boys ready for bed, gave Zach his rules for the next two days (No TV) due to swimming lessons, and then came down and ate. We then sat and watched some TV. Her on her computer, me on mine. I sat there freezing, had a GU (Possibly the most delicious chocolate EVER), and eventually gave into having my shower, as you read just up there. Now I'm lying in bed, it's 20 to 12, and I better fall asleep so I don't have any tired regrets tomorrow.

I'm going to attempt a drive to Braintree again tomorrow as I am alone most of the day. I'm really looking forward to music, Starbucks...and some me time. (My God! I hate me time!) Mind you, if I was at home, I wouldn't want it. I don't really want it to be just me tomorrow. I would love it if my mom could join me for a pumpkin spice latte. Unfortunately though, neither of those things (My mom, and pumpkin spice) are here...so I will be settling for a comfy chair and an earl grey tea misto.

Enjoy your days. xx

Day 36

Another great day in England. A cold one...but great nonetheless.

My alarm went off at 8, and seeing as I didn't fall asleep until gone 1:30, I decided I would reset my alarm for 8:15. 2 seconds later I heard a child scream at the bottom of the stairs. Don't know what it was about this time, but I was awake. I stretched out a bit and got out of bed. Got ready and went down for breakfast. While I was eating the boys were loud and the chaos hit as Tim tried to get them ready for Football. The 4 of them left the house, Toni arrived and her, Heloise and I sat to talk for about half an hour before it was our turn to leave.

We got into Toni's car and went to the field. Once there we watched Nathaniel's game. He had a hat trick by the time Josh's game had started. I was very impressed. He's a very good little player. Josh was in net for the first half of his game so I had told him I'd watch. He did well. He disagrees but after some practice I'm sure he'll be great. Zoe (Toni's niece) and Zach were playing with us. I had a whole conversation about giants with Zoe. She's a cutie pie. She was shy at first, and by the 2nd half of Josh's game she was sitting in my arms talking about her brother being the size of the moon. I love children's care free imaginations. They're great. More people should think like children do. And they're so honest. Josh's game finished, I congratulated both of our little players, got lots of cuddles from Nathaniel and then Toni and I tried to leave. Nathaniel begged me to come. Now that I think of it, he could have. I just thought he'd be a bit bored. Anyway, he chased us for a sec, and then stopped and we left.

We found our way to Colchester. Pretty easily actually. Just one wrong turn. But I think I might actually be able to find my way there now, alone. We got to Starbucks, and by the time Ashley (my friend in Peterborough), and his girlfriend Sandy found us, we had finished our drinks. The two of them got one, and we caught up at a table outside. It was really nice.

We then walked around the shops and chatted a bit more. I had such a great time. Ash and Sandy had to head back home so that they could make it there before dinner, and Toni and I were leaving right away anyway. We stopped at Starbucks on the way out so I could get my fix, but they were out of Soy...so I'll have to wait until at least Tuesday. Sigh. haha.

We drove home, Toni dropped me off and when I walked in the door, I didn't know what was going on. It was SILENT! I eerily walked down the hall and into the breakfast room where I saw Heloise sitting on the computer in peace in the family room. She told me the boys were out with my Uncle and Aunt. I started making a turkey, mayonnaise, cranberry sandwich, and Heloise remembered she had to run up to the Co op. I decided to go with her, so I dropped what I was doing, we hopped into the car and drove up to the high street. We had to run into the store as they were closing right away and told us we could only go in if we were quick. Luckily Heloise only needed a couple of things.

We got home, and as I finished making my sandwich the boys came in with Uncle Clifford and Aunt Jill. They had gone to see UP! Josh was begging me to go outside and help him practice his goalie skills, so I finished my sandwich and out we went. He seemed to really enjoy it. We spent about 30 mins out there, and then it was time for him to go to swimming. That didn't go over well, but I can understand why. I felt really sorry for him. Someone had come to pick him up and all he wanted was for someone in his family to watch him. So Uncle Clifford ended up taking him instead.

Nathaniel and I were on my computer and I was listening to my friend Adam online (on a Winnipeg radio station), and was talking to him on Facebook. He mentioned mine and Nathaniel's name on air and Nathaniel didn't know it was coming so his face lit up. It was amazing :D He was like "Was that ME Nathaniel he was talking about??" It was too cute. We then went into the playroom and turned on the Wii. Zach, Nathaniel and I played Mario and Sonic's Olympic games until dinner was ready. Josh got home and sat down to eat with us. Uncle Clifford and Aunt Jill left and it was time for Zach to get ready for bed. While he got ready Josh and Nathaniel played on their computer. They went up to get ready, and soon after Josh was sitting with me watching "The Weakest Link". He had to go up near the end, so I watched the rest by myself, and then turned on the X Factor.

Now I'm sitting here with Heloise watching Emma, and will be going up very shortly to get ready for bed and make the new star chart.

Will report back tomorrow. xx

Day 35

Today was a HUGE SUCCESS! I'm so happy!

I woke up and got ready, then went out to the garage to get the turkey out of the fridge. It was squidgy but still a bit frozen so I was a little worried. I put it in a basin filled with cold water and luckily it thawed by the time I needed it. I put my music on and away I went. From 12 until 6 I did not leave the kitchen.

I chopped all of the vegetables...carrots, parsnips and potatoes. I gutted the turkey, and made the stuffing. Put the stuffing in the bird and got it in the oven. I had a few little interruptions but the boys didn't bother me too much. Josh came in to spend some time with me which was nice, Zach came in and danced at one point. Nathaniel came in for a hug. That was it really. They were annoying Heloise...but that's the way I needed it to be today :p

I loved being able to just cook and listen to my music. It was great and I was having a blast. Everything was going perfectly time wise. With just an hour left for the turkey, I popped the vegetables into the auger. Turned them a little while later and made the gravy.

Uncle Clifford and Aunt Jill arrived and commented on me slaving over the hot stove. Aunt Jill stirred the gravy while I took everything out of the oven and got it ready to put on the table. We called the boys in for dinner, and Heloise made a few different comments on how impressed she was that I did so well with timing. She said normally when they say dinner is at 6 it's not until much later...so the fact that I had everything ready and on the table by 6 was amazing. I'm not gonna lie, I felt pretty damn special. They all commented on how good it looked, and once they finished with their first helping, told me how delicious it was. The boys even gave me a hug and thanked me for dinner! It was great :D

We cleared the table and it was time for dessert. Because I couldn't find the right ingredients here to make a cheesecake, I decided I would save the pumpkin to make muffins later in the week. So Tim had picked up a chocolate sticky pudding, and Uncle Clifford and Aunt Jill brought an apricot something pie, carrot/orange cake and vanilla ice cream so there was a lot of choice! I ate entirely too much, but am still thinking about delicious cereal in the morning (Sorry mom), and a delicious cranberry, turkey, mayonnaise sandwich for dinner tomorrow night. MMMMMM.

Anyway after all of that, I took 10 minutes with Zach to help continue his list to Santa. You should see the size of this thing! *That's what she said!* :O Anyway, he's got about 40 different playmobil sets written down, and about 5 lego sets. Tomorrow our job is to narrow it down. (Like that's going to happen!) Have you tried explaining that to a 4 year old? We tried tonight...his answer was "Can you go to the next picture" (To see if he wanted the next toy on the website lol) What a cutie pie.

They went up to bed, Uncle Clifford and Aunt Jill came back downstairs after reading to the boys, and had a cup of coffee. Uncle Clifford and I were watching some music videos but as soon as Tim, Heloise and Aunt Jill got in the room it was mostly criticizing music and music videos lol. Especially George Michael's "Father Figure". Anyway, Uncle Clifford and Aunt Jill left, so Tim, Heloise and I watched Ghost Town. I think they both enjoyed it. Then we watched some soccer highlights. This is where I got angry. Sunderland's goal was absolutely ridiculous! It went in because it deflected off of a BEACH BALL!!! I was angry to begin with...then the commentators started going on and on about how Sunderland have completely turned around and are doing so well...IT BOUNCED OFF A BEACH BALL! HOW CAN YOU EVEN CALL THAT A WIN????? It should not have counted. Then one of Sunderland's players was saying it's Liverpool's fault. They should have moved the ball out of the way. UM HI! Don't you think the goalie had a few other things on his mind in the middle of a soccer game?? Anyway, as you can see...I'm still not over it. And this is why I came up to bed. ...Well, that and I'm crazy tired and have to be up in less than 8 hours :| Toni and I are going to watch the boys soccer game, and then are hopefully meeting with Ashley for coffee :D I hope everything goes according to plan!

On that note though, my sleeping time is getting shorter and shorter so I should go. Good Night xx

Day 34

Why is it that during the week when I have to be up at 6-6:30, I can't go to bed at night, but on a Friday night I start falling asleep at 8? (I probably actually started at around 2:15)...but seriously, I'm so tired right now and don't have to be up super early tomorrow. We all know I will be cuz of a certain child...but I told him tonight he's not allowed to wake me up until Sunday. We'll see how that goes :p

Just finished the Star Chart for the week, and wouldn't you know it...there's a tie! Josh and Nathaniel had 23 stickers each. I definitely did not see that coming. Nathaniel's going to kick himself when he realizes all he had to do was eat his crust the other day to win this week. Oh well, I guess I will be going out with the two of them at some point this week.

Now, to talk about today...
It wasn't a very busy day. There was the usual morning routine, but the boys were really behaving themselves and had their homework done by 7:40 which NEVER happens as we don't leave until 8:40. It was really nice. What a difference this chart is making already. I really hope the novelty doesn't just wear off. I'll have to keep it exciting. I even got Zach to clean the play room!!!! Heloise couldn't believe that. It was amazing.

I walked the boys to school, all 3 of them went to the same place today as on Mondays and Fridays Zach's pre school is on the same grounds. When I came back, I got a smile and a "Morning" from the construction guy. He's so pleasant. It's a good way to start your day.

I got home and was procrastinating a little bit. Checking my farm and my cafe, and messages and e-mails...plus anything else I could before getting on the wii. My calves were hurting and I was just so exhausted I didn't want to think about working out. But I did it, and once I got it over with, I was very happy with the way I felt. I still treated myself to a couple of things today...things I shouldn't have had, and I can't wait for my will power to kick back in. I'm thinking Sunday will be the day. But to be fair, I did have salad for both lunch and supper...so I'm not completely unhealthy. They were both delicious as well.

Anyways, I caught up on some TV while I had a cup of tea and waited to go get Zach. (I think I know who strangled Julie on Desperate Housewives!) Heloise came home, made a cup of tea and we went to pick Zach up. I got another smile, but as Heloise was with me, there was no hello :p Got Zach out of his classroom, and the 3 of us sat on the bench outside of "reception", to wait for Zach's friend Noah. When he arrived we all walked home again. (Another smile :D...It just sort of makes your day...I like friendly people).

Got back and Heloise had to look for a farm in the garage because that's what the boys wanted to play with. She found it, and they did enjoy it...for about 5 minutes. Then it was on to something else. Playmobil I think. Or maybe it was pretending to cook first. I can't remember. I made them lunch, and then had mine. Heloise was studying and doing school work, and the boys were playing together so I came online. Zach soon came around the corner to ask Heloise to find him his Robin costume because how can you have a Batman without a Robin? I went in to help look for it, and he decided to be Anakin Sywalker instead. He asked if I would be the "baddy" aka bad guy/girl in the Star Wars game they were going to play. That lasted all of 2 seconds. Once he had the outfit on, something in the cupboard caught his eye. He now wanted to build the wooden pirate ship. We did that, and before we knew it, in fact before they even had time to play with it, it was time to take Noah back to school. (Another smile).

Got to the school, dropped Noah, dropped Zach with a different friend whose house he was having dinner at tonight, and then we went with Nathaniel to his friend's house to have tea while the boys ate dinner. Tim picked Nathaniel up from there at 4:30, and Heloise and I started walking home. She had to stop at the garage to pick up the car, so we went our separate ways. When I got in, I had the house to myself. I did some cleaning up, sat down, and enjoyed the peace.

Heloise got home with some groceries and made some dinner. As she finished that, Zach was dropped off. Even though he had already eaten, he of course wanted some of what we were having. We sat and ate, Heloise ran off to pick Josh's friend up for Cubs as she was helping out there tonight and would meet up with Josh. Zach and I finished dinner (his 2nd), and sat down with my laptop and searched for playmobil as he made his list to Santa. It's a long list, and I was barely able to keep up with his "I want that, and that, and that...write that down, and that, that one too, write it down".

Tim and Nathaniel got home from Nathaniel's first practice with Colchester United. He seemed to have a good time. That little one's gonna be a superstar I think. He sat and looked at some playmobil with us, then it was time for bed. Nathaniel went up, but Zach decided he wanted to continue looking instead of having a book read to him, so we did that and then up he went.

That left me to watch some TV. Friends, and How I Met Your Mother of course. Josh and Heloise got home. Josh sat with me for a bit, then he had to go up to bed. After some procrastination he doddled up, and that was the last I saw of him for the night. - That's also when we decided he couldn't wake me up until Sunday -

Tim went out. It's 3rd Friday (of the month), and that's when all of the dads get together and go to the pub. Heloise did some work, I watched a couple of Mr. Bean episodes I had NEVER seen! Amazing! Then I turned on Burn After Reading. Heloise has never seen it. She tried to watch it but was falling asleep so she went up, and I soon followed suit.

I've only now, after writing the days events, realized why I'm so tired and why I'm ready to crash. I also have a big turkey dinner to cook tomorrow and believe there are about 10 of us for dinner...So on that note, Good Night xx

Day 33

Ok...before I begin this blog, I just want to say...WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND BUILDS AN AIRCRAFT IN THEIR BACKYARD, AND ONLY TIES IT DOWN WITH SOMETHING SO FLIMSY A 6 YEAR OLD CAN UNDO IT AND TAKE OFF????...Have any of you read that story yet? If not, go to this link.
http://news.ca.msn.com/top-stories/msnbc-article.aspx?cpdocumentid=22284180

INSANITY! These people should not have children! You named your child Falcon, of course he's going to think he can fly.

Now that I've gotten my little rant over and done with...I had another wonderful day today. Didn't have to get up til 6:30, and although I was still exhausted, it was nice to feel like I was sleeping in a bit. Got ready...breakfast for the boys, homework, and then they checked out the star chart. Which by the way, seems to be helping with certain situations as I was hoping it would. Josh has made a major improvement today! To bring you up to date, yesterday their sticker results were as follows: Josh - 11, Nathaniel - 14, and Zach - 10. Today it's: Josh - 18, Nathaniel - 19, and Zach - 12. I am very proud of Josh, and am hoping that Zach decides to participate. Tonight when he was complaining about eating his apple I made sure he knew that meant he wouldn't get a sticker, and his response was "I don't care". So I just said, ok, that means you won't get a treat. And that was that. He does seem to care normally, so I didn't make a huge deal out of it.

Heloise came downstairs (She had today off). The plasterer showed up around the same time as yesterday and had a long conversation with Heloise which ended up making things a little hectic. She was planning on walking Josh and Nathaniel to school, but instead, they had to hop in the car, and I dropped the 3 of them off on my way to Angels with Zach.

Once everyone was out, Zach and I drove off with the music turned up again. It was great, and he was all smiles and singing :D We got to Angels. Got the last spot in the parking lot because it was Market Day. (It's the same every Thursday) And I had to park so close to another car that I had to crawl out the passenger door. This is the 2nd time that's happened. If you saw this car park, and the vehicle I drive...you would not believe it would even fit into a space. Stephen would be very impressed with how straight I can park this vehicle.

I dropped Zach off, and went back to pick Heloise up. We quickly drove home so I could run in and get the curling iron I was returning today, and Heloise warned me to dodge the plasterer as I didn't want to be in there forever. :p

Heloise got in the drivers seat and took us to Colchester. Once we arrived, we looked in the toy department for the boys, and quickly made it over to the clothes where Heloise found a few things she wanted to pick up on the way out. The next stop was MAC! I FINALLY HAVE COLOURS!!!! I picked up a couple of pink eye shadows (they were out of the 3rd one I wanted), and I got a lipstick as there's barely any left of my current one, and I knew it would soon need to be replaced. I can't wait to wear my new eye shadows! Wearing brown every day for me...is like wearing matching socks. Ew!

Finished there and went to Marks and Spencers to pick up some supper for tonight, and a few other things including cranberry jelly *that was on our return trip to M&S a little later though*, as they don't have fresh or frozen cranberries until Christmas, I needed to get them because I NEED cranberries for Saturday's turkey dinner. From there we went to Boots. I returned the curling iron to the cashier's dismay, and picked up a few items. Then we went to Starbucks. I was so excited. Heloise and I sat down...I took a sip...and I can honestly say (as rude as this sounds), I probably missed about 5 minutes of one of Heloise's stories because my drink was not right, and I couldn't concentrate on anything else for a bit. (Yes, I am an addict...but I can admit that). It's very upsetting when you only get it so often and it's wrong. But how can you complain when it's something they don't even have on their menu?...You can't. Then I look up, and the "Zac Effron look-a-like" is coming out of the back. I guess he doesn't only work at the Brain Tree Starbucks. This upset me because he knows how to make my drink. I should have been 10 minutes later! - And that's where I zoned back into mine and Heloise's conversation. -

We finished there and that's when we made our 2nd M&S stop. I saw some amazing nylons I'm going to have to get once I'm back from South Africa. (I have to start saving my pennies for the moment). Then we went to Monsoon. (A sort of trendy shop with clothes for moms and little girls, and an accessories department on the side). They had cool nylons as well.

From there we went back to the first store. Looked through the clothes again. Heloise picked up some stuff for the boys, and then we went to the toy department where I took care of another Christmas gift. I tell ya, I am very organized this year. Only one and a half more presents to go! Plus the boys gifts...but as I think I said before, they're going to be impossible to shop for. I wish I could get them a puppy!

We walked to the car, and then drove to JJB! (A sports store I love). It took EVERYTHING in me not to buy the new Owen jersey. It was even hanging there. The exact one I wanted. His name and number on the back and everything. But I stopped myself, and will hopefully get that after South Africa as well. A while later, and a whole lot of Heloise's Christmas shopping was done. We left there, had just enough time to come home for a cup of tea, and then left to get Zach. The plasterer trapped Heloise upstairs for a bit, but we somehow managed to leave on time anyway.

Got Zach and then drove to Josh and Nathaniel's school to wait for them. Picked up Nathaniel and his friend, Josh was going home with his friend, and then Zach ended up going to the park with a friend of his. We came home with 2 boys, and by supper time we had 4. (Josh and his friend came back for that). So did the friend's mom, and then Zach got home so the house got crazy...better word...crazier.

Once everyone ate, dessert and all, the boys got ready for Judo. Heloise went to pick up another boy while the rest of them ran around the house playing tag, and then she came up for everyone but Nathaniel's friend. (Confused yet?) Nathaniel's friend Cameron stayed and hung out with me, watching the suite life of Zack and Cody and then some of Tom and Jerry, before his dad showed up to take him home.

AT LAST! Peace and quiet. It was really relaxing! Plus it gave me the chance to speak to my mom on Skype :D Did that, and caught up on some Desperate Housewives episodes...Then the boys came home. Josh ran in and gave me a cuddle. Nathaniel ran in and asked if I'd go upstairs with him. We all climbed up the stairs to get them ready for bed. Heloise came up soon after so I returned to my laptop downstairs. Not long after, Josh showed up for more cuddles, and Zach showed up with a book wanting me to read to him. I got through the first 2 pages, and that's when Heloise came down to get everyone. They all went up to bed. I finished watching the episode I was on, then had a conversation/mini argument (not really) with Tim about downloading music...laughed, and came up to have my shower and get ready for bed. Was going to be asleep by 11, but then I got caught up in that silly story about that poor 6 year old. Then came the rant, and then this blog...and NOW, it's 11:07 and I am officially ready to crash. Can't believe it's Friday tomorrow. The week's go by crazy fast here!! (Which I think is a good thing, but I have to make sure I get done what I want to get done, as I think my time here will be up before I know it). And seeing as I want to enjoy it all...I should get some shut eye. Good Night xx
