I'm going to start tonight's blog off a little differently. I'm going to list a bunch of the stuff I miss. (Aside from the obvious, family, puppies, friends etc) So let me see...there's...KLEENEX!, Buckleys, my pillow, my bed, warmth, my teddy to cuddle :(, my music, my movies, my STYLE!!! :( Not having my clothes here is seriously killing me! I may have to cave and buy some clothes this weekend when I go shopping with the girls. I miss my nail polishes, my shoes, my hoodies...(I know that's all part of my style...but that just shows how much I miss it). I miss my curling iron even though it's here. - I can't use it cuz for some reason it won't plug into my plug converter that everything else I own plugs into - And OF COURSE last, but DEFINITELY NOT least....my makeup *sniff* I've been wearing the same colour eye shadows for the past 18 days...Oh My God! I don't know if I can wait until the end of October...I may cave and buy a colour as well. I'm sure there is much more than that that I miss...but for now, that's what I'll leave it at.
Hmm what did I do today...lots! Made the boys their 3 course breakfasts, ate my toast, got them ready, learned to play some guitar...or was that yesterday?...Yes I believe that was yesterday, scratch that, no guitar today. Josh had his lesson today though so I will learn some soon. Once the boys were ready, we sat and waited for my Uncle. He got here and I drove the boys to school. First Josh and Nathaniel, then Zach. When we got back, my Uncle told me I was a great driver and that when I'm driving he feels more comfortable than he usually does as a passenger. :D He left to do some work and from then until he returned about 2 hours later I vacuumed the house and tidied up the play room. (I swear those boys have SO many toys) I would be shocked if they could walk into a toy story and tell me what they had and what they didn't. Some of them aren't even open!! It's insanity.
Uncle Clifford came back and we drove back to Coggeshall for a cappuccino, then picked up Zach and came home. Uncle Clifford left, Zach and I played Cluedo...known to Canadians as...Clue. And then I made some lunch for the two of us and we started a 200 piece Pirates of the Caribbean puzzle...then it was just me doing it...and then I had to check some e-mails so I didn't finish it...I put it away later but will accomplish it before I leave!
Walked to get the boys, came home, got them ready for Rugby and walked them all up to their friends' Birthday Party. There was a magician there who still has me confused about most of the tricks he did. He was very good and had them all entertained. He had a talking Chimpanzee that I wanted to steal...but I didn't think that would look too good in the headlines. "Local Nanny Steals Magicians Monkey". Heloise met us at the community center (where the party was) after school and took Josh and Nathaniel to catch their ride for Rugby. I watched all the kids have a dance competition with the monkey (oddly enough named...*Ready for this?* ALFIE) judging as Simon Cowell. Then Zach got pretty tired so we walked home, and I was off for the night. Sat down and watched "How I Met Your Mother" while Heloise put Zach to bed. I had a late supper...it was delicious! Watched the Man U game, got some more elephants for my farm (Yes I know...a lot of you *Especially Aunt Cindy* are thinking Elephants on a farm??? - I thought the same - but apparently it's the new thing), and then came up to bed. Heloise is off tomorrow so I'm hoping we'll do something exciting...and now I'm going to see if I can read the 5th Twilight book online YAY!! xx

Day 17
At the risk of sounding like a miserable 90 year old...I'm going to start this blog off with my complaints of the night. Headache in my right temple...blurred vision in my right eye, hurt right hip when I step a certain way, can't breathe, feel like I'm going to be sick, had a 5 minute coughing fit today and there was something else, but it's mixed in with all the rest so instead of stating that one...I'll say a stint of memory loss. My goodness!! I can't wait until I get better. I am not normally a bad sicky at all. And to be honest, I think I have done quite well over these past few days. Aside from complaining in my blog, I've still done all of the duties that have had to be done, I've gone out and had a good time, and I haven't let anyone see me cry. That's gotta say something right? *Sigh* Anyway...
Heloise had the day off today so that was nice. Woke up...best sleep I had had in a few nights so I set my alarm again and went back to sleep for 10 minutes. 6:10, out of bed and in the shower. Noticed a huge bump on my lip. Great! Just what I need. Finished getting ready and went downstairs. Breakfast for the boys...breakfast and a pill for me. Then homework for the boys, and a guitar lesson from Josh for me. I think I'm a quick learner. I'm thinking of looking into rentals and taking real lessons when Zach starts school full time in January.
About to leave the house but we can't find the car keys. I walk Josh and Nathaniel up to the school...the construction guy says good morning to me as usual, and we are on our way. Get to the school, Josh goes off to his class...Nathaniel hangs around for a bit, then it's time for him to go in and Heloise and Zach show up with the vehicle and the missing keys. We jump in the car and drive to Coggeshall (Zach's preschool). I stayed in the car.
Heloise came out and had decided we would do some shopping today. She had to pick up a birthday present for a little girl who's party is tomorrow and we are all attending. We started looking, but she wasn't sure what she wanted to get her so we decided to go for a coffee while she thought about it. YAY STARBUCKS!!!! And they know how to make my drink!!! I picked up a couple of cool things there...had some delicious chocolate chip shortbread and we were on our way again. (Their selection of food is INSANE compared to ours...but their drink menus are very different).
Into Boots for some cough medicine I probably won't take :$ Then to the bank, Next, and Mac!!!! (Can't wait for the new release on Thursday but it's all SO expensive here). Back into the toy shop where I found what I think is the perfect gift for a 6 year old girl! It's called build your own pet. It's a Littlest Pet Shop dog but much bigger than the regular ones. It's a bobble head and it comes with a glitter pen, rub on stickers and a bunch of other stuff so that you can decorate him the way you think he should look. I think it's awesome. Every little girl needs one! No two will be the same! :p So we got that and left.
On the way home Heloise dropped me on the High Street. I got my hair washed at the hair dressers and couldn't pay with debit unless I was spending 10 pound so I had to buy nail polish. Then I had to walk down to the other side to get my eyebrows done, and walk home. I stopped at the Optician's and can't wait to go back in there and look at frames. I saw a girl wearing Bench ones today and got a little excited :|
Got home, checked my e-mail and such, had some soup and went to pick up Zach. I drove and feel that I am getting much better at it. I know how to get to and from all the places I need to be, and am more comfortable on roads I didn't like at the beginning. Parked, and had to climb out the other side of the car as the person next to me was over the line. (That was interesting). Picked Zach up and went home for a quick minute...then it was time to leave and get the other 2.
Heloise and I walked while Zach "biked". Heloise ended up having to push him the whole way there which is what we told him would happen...but he didn't seem to care that it would hurt her back lol. Finally got to the school and because of the bike it had taken longer than usual so Josh was already out. Soon after Nathaniel came and we walked back home. I got to carry the bike back. (I better gain some muscle and lose some weight in this next year).
Home and snack time for the boys. Heloise and Josh had to run up to the doctors. Aunt Jill came to pick everyone up but we had to wait for Josh to get back so Zach played DS and Wiggle and I played Wii Sports. I can't remember how old I ended up being after the test...but let's just say it was definitely in the 40's range :S...Not so good. I should practice a little more.
Josh got home and everyone but Heloise was off to Uncle Clifford and Aunt Jill's for dinner. (She was waiting for the Sainsbury's order...again).
The boys were wrestling me until dinner was ready, we ate...(Some of us - *ME* - ate wayyyyy too much)...and it was delicious. After dinner and dessert Zach wanted to do a puzzle, so we put together one with a tractor, a few animals and a farmer on it. While we were in the process though Aunt Jill joined us, and then Heloise got there...sooo it wasn't really us putting it together at all :p
We drove home, the boys got in the shower, I listened to How I Met Your Mother (cuz I couldn't get the screen to turn on), then Tim fixed the screen and I watched a couple episodes of Friends but my eye started acting up and I still feel terrible so I came upstairs, and now I'm going to sleep. xx

Day 16
What a weird day...
While I'm sure it's going to be short because I feel worse tonight than ever, I'll still try to make this interesting.
Woke up feeling like someone was standing on my face. Huge headache, and did not want to roll out of bed. Got ready and got the kids breakfast/helped do their homework. Started sweating cuz I had a fever, so I took my hoodie off and started shivering. Yay!
Got a call from Aunt Jill, she could tell I wasn't well and offered to take the boys to school but I didn't think that was right. She said they would pick Zach up at 12 and then take him to their house until we all had to go to the boys swimming lessons at 3. They wanted me to rest, and I had to see if I could get into the doctors so I said ok.
Took the boys to school, came home to wait for the grocery delivery that couldn't be delivered in the end...and around 11 I decided to walk up to the doctors. On my way, to the doctors I heard some sirens. - They were coming from a vehicle I had never seen before - Turns out (after reading the side) it was a bomb disposal vehicle...ummm Now I feel safe. Walk a bit further...I have to cross to the other side of the street because a huge part of a tree has fallen onto the sidewalk I'm walking on. Finally get to the doctors...thinking it's gonna be a walk in...NOT A CHANCE!
I'm standing in line and there are all kinds of signs on the bulletin board. One that stands out is talking about Swine Flu. It says if you have a fever over 37, and at least 2 of the following symptoms, you probably have it and they don't want to see you. You should be at home, and should call the help line. (Wait...I'm confused...I'm not standing in line at the doctors office?) Anyway, it's a good thing I realized earlier this week how much British people can over react...because I have every single symptom that was on that poster. And there was at least 5 to choose from!!! I figured that's not what I had though. The line up moves along and I go up to the front desk and am told I have to register. I am given 2 forms to fill out and when I am done those I'm told I have a regular appointment with a nurse (I guess like a meet and greet type thing) on Thursday. I kind of paused...and then said sooo If I'm sick today...I'm not able to see someone? And she was like oh you're sick today? (I'm thinking nope, my voice always cracks like this and I am always constantly sneezing and coughing)...sigh...Apparently being sick makes me get aggravated a little more than usual. Anyway, long story short - she asked me my symptoms, wrote them on a piece of paper and told me to call back after 4 to see if they could fit me in...*She'd see what she could do* -
Walked back up and down the high street looking for a hair dressers...must have found at least 4, but none of them are open on Mondays. Gave up and walked home. Got to watch the new Family Guy and then Uncle Clifford, and Aunt Jill brought Zach (who was asleep) to pick me up so we could go get Nathaniel and go to swimming. Josh had football and then was going to a friend's house for dinner.
Drove to swimming, Nathaniel didn't want to stay in the pool but Zach swam like a fish. He absolutely loves it! Drove home, and called the doctors. The lady I spoke to that morning hadn't left a note or anything for anyone else saying that I would be calling after 4. (Nice of her, don't you think?) Anyways, the lady put me on hold, then ended up telling me they'd have to call me back. Finally got a call and they fit me in for an appointment at 6.
Went home and made the boys some supper, and then walked up to the doctor's office...
This is where it gets interesting!
I get there and she asks me to take a seat...so I do. There's an older gentleman across the room from me, and in walks a man who knows him, and this new patient's wife I guess. Well of course this is the loudest lady you could ever come across. She sits down next to him and is driving me insane!! So she's going on and on to this guy...and not only am I going crazy because her inside voice is at an 11...but she's saying his name so many times in each sentence. Then I decide, rather than get annoyed with the situation...I'm going to have fun with it. I'm going to count how many times she says "Alfie" in her whiny high pitched voice. I start counting...and now I'm trying to hold in my laugh. Looking at pictures on the wall...smiling at other patients. It's now been 5 minutes and she has said his name NO JOKE 25 times! I had to stop. If I was playing a drinking game, I would have been on the floor at minute 3. I couldn't believe it. How is that even possible? Seriously! Try it! Try to fit the person you're having a conversation with's name into a 5 minute period....25 times! I bet you couldn't. So whatever, they go in, they leave...I think thank goodness! A couple of other people go in, and then it's my turn. Blah Blah Blah, turns out they think I have a chest infection. So he prescribes me some drugs...if they don't help I have to go back and see him in a few days.
I thank him and go to pick up my prescription...Guess who's there...ALFIE!!!! And this friend of his. They're being just as loud...so obviously I can hear what they're saying. I pass in my prescription and the pharmacist asks if I'm paying for it. So I explain to her that I've just moved here, and they clearly listen in. Hearing my accent, they then start to complain about the fact that British people don't get jobs because of people like me. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!?!
Heloise said I should have turned around and said "Would you like to see my British passport?"
Ugh, I couldn't believe it! Some people are so rude and obnoxious!! Anyways, I didn't even look at them, walked home, took 2 pills right away and ate dinner. Then I felt extremely sick so I came up to my room to write this and go to sleep. Hope you enjoyed many of my exciting events. xx

Day 15
Still not feeling well. Can't stop coughing, sneezing etc. It's driving me nuts. My head hurts too :( I would KILL for Buckley's right now.
Today was good though. Of course, like I assumed, I was woken up around 7:30...fell back to sleep for a bit, then woke up again around 8, and decided to check my e-mail before getting out of bed. As I'm checking my computer, in walks this little person. Zach decides to come in and talk to me...and soon follows Josh. He's cold so he hops into my bed, and then Archie (their friend) decides to waltz into my room. - Definitely no chance I'm getting a day off or a day to sleep in in the next year -
Got ready, went to Josh's football (Soccer) game. He was in net the 2nd half and played really well. Tim, Uncle Clifford, Aunt Jill, and Nathaniel met the rest of us there and after watching the beginning of the next game, we all went for brunch with some of Heloise and Tim's friends and their son. The first place we went to wouldn't serve us. I guess 11 people was too many. The second place told us they would...but then when we sat down they explained we had to wait to order. This was at 12....We got our food at 1:30.
Got home, watched a bit of Cricket while waiting for someone to take me to meet the girls at Starbucks. Arrived there, YAY!!!!! Then went to Burger King so 2 of them could eat, and then on to the movies. We went to see Fame. It was good. Not what I expected...but I still enjoyed it.
Got home, sat on the couch and had Josh and Tim explain some of the rules of Cricket to me...the two youngest boys were in bed, and as I can't breathe I decided I would come up to bed as well. Now I've written my blog, and hopefully this 9 hour sleep will help me get rid of this horrible cold or whatever it is. Good night xx

Day 14
I'm really sorry, but tonight's blog is going to be extremely short. I feel terrible! So terrible in fact, that I gave in to drinking a disgusting Lemsip tonight. I think it helped to bring down my fever, but I still feel like a bag of dirt.
Thought I would get to sleep in today...that wasn't the case. I woke up to Josh screaming at 8:20. Apparently he was playing football with Nathaniel and had scored so he was excited. The next scream about 10 mins later was about not being able to find his socks I think.
Couldn't get back to sleep but lounged around in my room for a good couple of hours. Got ready, went downstairs to see the boys. Josh was still at football. When he got back and had his shower, the 2 of us went up to the pub. It was really nice. We had a great talk, played some games and he was a real sweetheart. I had fish and chips mmmmm....and the next time I go, I am definitely getting the Creme Brule! Tried some of Josh's and it was coffee flavoured. Heaven in a dish!! We walked back, and I didn't do too much for the rest of the day.
I was freezing and Josh thought my head felt warm. Some friends of Tim and Heloise's came over with their little guy and we all went for a walk up to the pub for a drink. Then the kids and women walked back to the house, and the men went to order our food. The boys went to bed so Heloise, Becky and I watched the beginning of High School Musical while waiting for Tim and Andrew to get back with the take out.
I got Chinese and it was delicious! Duck pancakes, beef and mushroom. MMMM. There was no way I could eat it all but I definitely ate more than I should have. Found out I had a fever, and it was with supper that I drank that horrible lemon drink. Ew.
Anyway, after dinner we turned on Zack and Miri make a porno...but I had to come up to bed. I really want to see the rest of it, but I just feel so blah and am supposed to be going to football, brunch, and then the movies tomorrow so I better get some rest and hope I feel better.
Sorry this is kind of a choppy and short blog...but I really need some sleep.

Day 13
Tonight...was...AWESOME!!!!!
My throat is killing me, and is definitely going to be worse tomorrow...but it was kinda worth it :p
I'll start at the beginning of my day though...Woke up...did NOT want to get out of bed. It felt like I was swallowing knives. Got ready, and ran into Jelly in the hall. I tried to say hi to him, and that's when I discovered my lack of voice. I thought at first that maybe I was just whispering cuz I knew Josh was in bed. Then I got downstairs, Tim asked me how I was...and when I went to say "I've been better"...I think all that really came out was "I...etter".
Josh woke up and the first thing he said to me was "You sound stupid! Croaky Boy!"...Gee, Thanks cuz! Anyway, I sounded like a man and could hardly get any words out. Getting them ready for school was a real strain on my throat. It was hurting SO much!
I got about an hours rest between dropping Zach off at school, talking to the heating man, and then picking Zach up again. I then spoke from about 12 o'clock ON....ouch!
Heloise got home just after Zach and I had lunch. I took Zach for a walk to the High Street - picked up some groceries - *He got a bouncy ball and a glow in the dark alien*, and then we went to Boots (a pharmacy) to get some soap, eye liner sharpener etc lol. We carried it all home, dropped it off and Heloise, Zach and I left to see if Nathaniel needed picking up from school. He was well enough that he didn't want to come home, and he and Josh stayed for their soccer training. The rest of us walked up to the park and hung out for about an hour. It was a really nice day, and Heloise and I were feeling pretty lazy so we sat on the spinny thing...and tanned. I was in shorts and flip flops! It was soooo nice! We left there, picked up the boys and took about an hour and a half to get home. - A walk that should have taken about 10 minutes...15 tops! - But it was good. Josh and I had a conversation. We decided the two of us will go up to the pub once a week...just us, and spend some quality time together. He seemed pretty excited about that, which was nice to see :D
We got home, had some dinner, and Josh went to Cubs. Watched some tv with the boys, then they went up to bed, Josh got home and went up, and then it was time to go dancing!!!!!!!!
I had been sitting on the couch falling asleep, and my legs were killing me, as well as my throat, so I didn't think I was gonna make it. But considering I was making Heloise go, I couldn't bail. We got to the first place and it was a little uncomfortable...but then we went next door to Chicago's, and once I got on the dance floor it was AWESOME! And I was wide awake. I only left the dance floor twice, and that's cuz everyone else did, and I didn't want to be surrounded by numerous random people. I danced and sang all night, and can't believe how much better the clubs are here, compared to at home. Chelmsford was SO busy! It was great! The music selection was really random which made it even better. From S Club, to Venga Boys, Take That, to Black Eyed Peas, Michael Jackson and an entire mix dedicated to Dirty Dancing!! The best random song of the night though...Are you ready for this?
All I Want For Christmas! You should have seen the look on people's faces. It was awesome. It didn't stop anyone either. We just kept going. When Heloise wanted to leave around 1, the rest of the girls told me I was more than welcome to stay with them and they'd get me home...but I decided this time I'd leave. Hannah says next time I can't be so shy, and I'll have to stay. lol. I can't wait til next time!!!
For now though, as my throat is killing me, and I wouldn't be surprised if I get a little knock on the door early in the morning...I should get going. Speak to you soon xx

Day 12
My mouth tastes of Suntan lotion, and there's broken glass on my bathroom floor.
...Now, if I drank, you'd all be thinking "Wow! She must have had a good night!" But I don't...so the only other way to look at it is..."It was just one of those days...and it has yet to end".
Before I get into all that, I will tell you that last night was a lot of fun. I met Heloise's friends sister who is my age and we seemed to get along pretty well. - We might be going line dancing or horse back riding or something together soon! - Anyway, I did have a really nice time, when I got home I was absolutely knackered (As I am again tonight...but I figured I owed you all a somewhat interesting entry). *Yesterday's was lacking*
I woke up - Thank God! - ...I guess I should be looking at things that way...at least I got up!
I did however wake up with a sore throat (more so than the night before) and was extremely tired. Not to mention the aches and pains from doing my wii exercises. My God! You would have thought I went to boot camp! I remember, I rolled over and it felt like someone had punched me in the abs. Wasn't sure how I was going to get out of bed...but I did. Everything in me was asking me not to work out today, but to tell the truth, it's a good pain, and I made sure I did get on once I got back from the schools. - I'm getting ahead of myself now though - Made the boys breakfast as usual. All 3 courses. Drove them to school and nursery. Nathaniel had every intention of going in today. Got out of the car with Heloise...walked up to the school grounds with her and Josh...and came right back. Poor guy.
Now...feeling weak, tired, and sore as I did...I am sure my patience was running low to begin with. And while I hate feeling like that, I tried not to let the little things aggravate me...but sometimes you can't help it. For instance...on a normal day, I may not get so annoyed listening to a 4 year old yell the same sentence over and over and over and OVER again while he waited for mommy to get back to the van after dropping Josh. But the space was small, and there is only so much winging my head could take. So...I turned on the high school musical soundtrack sitting in the cd player and listened to a couple of songs, and then switched to Mamma Mia and enjoyed some happy music for a few minutes. Nathaniel and Heloise came back to the car, and everything but Nathaniel's health was well.
We then took Zach to nursery, and drove home. I did my wii (Which you already know because I just couldn't wait to tell you), and then I had some breakfast. Sat with Nathaniel for a bit and was showing him some pictures when I all of a sudden felt very ill. - I was eating grapes...aren't those supposed to do some good for you? - Anyway, I ended up taking it pretty easy for the rest of the day. Didn't get to do the vacuuming cuz of the way I felt, but the plumber and the gas men were here so I couldn't really do it anyway. Hopefully I'll be able to get that done tomorrow. Nathaniel and I watched countless episodes of Spongebob, I made him an omelette...(I tell you, there is nothing nicer than hearing a child tell you how much they enjoyed the meal you made, and then have them thank you again and again). We played Battleship...which by the way, is a very hard game to explain to 6 year olds. Nathaniel isn't the first one who did not understand the grid system...I've had experience with this before...and the game seemed to drag on for him. SO if you take anything from today's blog...don't try to play Battleship with 6 year olds...they don't like it. We also played....hmm....thinking of the name...Top....something. I don't know. YES! I do! Top Trumps. I think...
It's basically collectors cards and you have to beat the other players cards with something taller or heavier etc. Like Pokemon cards I think. Anyway, we did that...Zach came home...we watched some Mamma Mia. And by some, I mean I saw about...2 minutes lol. And I may have heard 5 seconds of the dialogue. It's a good thing I love these boys. :p
Anyway Josh was picked up, supper rolled around...things got crazy, nothing abnormal really. I'm sure it happens at tables everywhere...I was just very tired and happy I was "off" haha. Josh went to Judo. The rest of the night was ok. I had gargled with TCP once already - which brings me back to the suntan lotion - but I think that the 2nd time was even worse. You know the smell of suntan lotion?...Well that's what TCP tastes like. What horrible stuff! It better work some magic! I placed my glass on the sink, went to wipe my hands on the towel...and CRASH!
There is now glass all over my bathroom floor! I cleaned up what I could, but the little pieces will have to wait until morning. I don't want to wake the boys with the sound of the vacuum.
I hope tomorrow is a better day. I have some running around to do while the boys are at school, and I'm supposed to be going dancing at night. Then to see "Fame" on the weekend. If this sore throat thing doesn't pass quickly though, I don't know how much I'm going to get done. And despite Tim laughing at me for coming up to bed at 10 to 9, this is why I am going to sleep now...(I decided not to tell him I was ready to come up at 6:30)

Day 11
My day isn't actually over yet. I'm just sitting here waiting to go for dinner. I'm not feeling great though, and know that when I get back, I will just want to sleep right away. So I've decided I'll tell you what's happened so far.
All 3 of the boys went to school today. I drove both ways. About 10 minutes after getting home Heloise received a phone call saying Nathaniel had a fever and had to come home. - Poor guy - So Heloise went back to pick him up...he came home and laid in his room for a couple of hours, and I did my workout on the wii fit/personal fitness coach. (I think that may become an addiction). Anyways, once I finished that I watched some TV. Zach and his friend Savier (Spelling?) came home from preschool, and Nathaniel was feeling much better. They all played together, and disappeared into the backyard. I went to find them after a while, only to discover something rather exciting...THEY HAVE A TRAMPOLINE!!! My thoughts..."Why has nobody told me about this???" I got on and we bounced around for about an hour. Nathaniel was looking much better. The boys came inside for some strawberries and TV, and soon decided they wanted to go on the Zip Line in their front yard. (This I knew they had). We spent quite a while out there - but I was pretty drained so we all came inside and that's when Nathaniel started to fade again. He's not well at all. He hasn't eaten much, and has white spots on his tongue :S And seems very very tired. I think he only seems ok when the medicine kicks in. I wish I could help him. He probably won't be going to school tomorrow either.
I went to get Josh at school, and we had a nice walk back together. When we got home, he did his reading, Heloise took Savier home and I painted my nails, and then it was time for their dinner. Once they finished Josh got ready for Rugby.
...K so I had to pause in the middle of this one to go to dinner...now it's 10 to 12 and I have to be up in 6 hours and am not feeling well. Actually...I feel like a bag of dirt. Dinner was really nice, and I had a great time, but I will have to put that in tomorrow's blog. Sorry x

Day 10
Today was a little more eventful than yesterday. Nathaniel was still sick, but the medicine he takes works like a miracle drug from morning til about late afternoon. After taking it he got changed and Heloise, Zach, Nathaniel and I took Josh to school, and then I drove to Zachary's pre-school. We dropped him off and I drove home. - I am getting much more comfortable behind the wheel, and am more comfortable with the width of the vehicle -
Once we got home I did my Wii Fit. I've decided I will work out every Tuesday and Thursday, as those are the two days that Zachary is at school for about 5 hours. Nathaniel came in to watch, and then decided to try for himself. We did things like tightrope walking (I had to help him with that), heading the footballs, ski jumping, etc.
For lunch Heloise was home so she decided to make Nathaniel's. He asked for the same as yesterday, so she asked what he had. He told her, but then said he wanted it to be in the shape of a face. She told him she doesn't do things like that. Haha. I'm flattered that I've made an impression on him. :p
After lunch we played a little more Wii, and watched some TV. Heloise went out for about an hour, came home and we left to get Zach. I drove. - I'm beginning to know my way around, which helps...and I think that I'll be able to drive by myself next week - We went to pick up Josh but were in a hurry cuz Zach was let out later than usual, so I asked Heloise to drive :p
After we got home Nathaniel wasn't feeling great so he laid on the couch while Heloise made dinner, and Josh, Zach and I went for a walk to the High Street to pick up some Echinacea and to mail some letters. It was nice to just be the 3 of us. I like spending some time with each of them and had been with Nathaniel all day.
We got back and Josh and I got his guitar out. He showed me what he's learned so far, and then I tried. We have made a deal that after school every Wednesday, he will show me what he was taught and we will learn to play together. It should be fun, and hopefully it keeps him interested in his lessons. I told him if he ended up enjoying guitar, we would go to the music shop and pick out a Beatles book or something with songs he'll know so that he'll be able to tell if he's playing them right.
Supper time, then I sat with Zachary to help him with some work books that he loves, and the 3 of them soon went off to bed. Now I'm watching "How I Met Your Mother", and it wont be much longer until I'm in bed.
Until tomorrow x

Day 9
Had a sick Nathaniel at home today. We thought that might happen but it wasn't a sure thing until this morning. I woke up, got ready and came downstairs to make breakfast, and my morning buddy wasn't there. :( He was still asleep which is unusual for him. Got the other boys ready for school, cleaned the play room, and Nathaniel came to sit on the couch.

It was a relatively lazy day as I had him take it easy, which meant sitting on the couch and watching TV pretty much all day. - I did some laundry in between but that's about as productive as I got. - I had planned to do some running around but with Nathaniel sick, that couldn't happen, so we switched the Wii on for about an hour until Zach came home and I made lunch. - Apparently that was the highlight of Nathaniel's day. I had just given them vegetables, cheese and pepperami, but I made Zach's into a little man skateboarding, and Nathaniel's into a face with his tongue sticking out and frowning (Cuz he was sick). When Heloise came home that's what Nathaniel told her about. I took some pics on my phone...let's see if they worked.

- Zach fell asleep, so Nathaniel and I played a little more Wii and then came out to join Zach and watch some more TV.
Zach went to a friend's house for dinner, and Josh was already at a friends so I was making dinner for Nathaniel (who wouldn't eat much anyway), Heloise and I. We had club sandwiches, baked potatoes, and soup. It was delicious if I do say so myself :p
Once Heloise got home and ate I was "off". So I watched TV with the boys, and once they went to bed, I watched a little more. - I know...interesting day, don't you think? - And then, I got crazy excited because One Tree Hill started, and it's a season behind! In fact I think the next 3 episodes are the ones I missed at home, so now I can get all caught up and ready for this season when it starts here in a few months :D Soooo I watched that, and now I'm sitting in bed writing the end of this. Time to pass out I think. xx

Time to pass out I think. xx

Day 8
Lying in bed, listening to City and Colour. Wishing I had my guitar here and could learn to play.
Today was a pretty good day. For some reason I woke up around 7:15, could have slept more but thought I'd see who was online instead. Laid around for about an hour, then got ready to go to Josh's soccer game. Heloise, Zach, Josh and I got in the car, met the rest of the team, and drove up to Sudbury. - Nathaniel was at his own game with Tim - Zach and I kicked the ball around a bit, and I spoke to some of the parents, but I was mostly watching the game. Josh scored the first goal and his team ended up winning 4-3. Sitting in the grocery store parking lot with the two boys in the car while Heloise runs in and Josh asks me something...but when I answer, he "corrects" my vocabulary. So I asked him how he'd like it if I did that to him...but he didn't understand the question and continued to mock the way I speak so I told him that was fine, and I just wouldn't speak to him anymore. Well after about 5 minutes TOPS of me not speaking, and him asking question after question, he got very frustrated and gave up. He said "Please answer me!!! I won't correct you again!" Maija - 1, Josh - 0 Lesson 1 accomplished.
We drove home, I wrote some letters, listened to some music, did a Scooby Doo jigsaw puzzle "with" Zach. (He always asks me to do it with him...dumps out the pieces and that's the last I see of him until it's time to put the last piece in). We had lunch, watched some Matilda, and watched Michael Owen...I mean, the Man U vs Man City game. Then it was time to take Josh to swimming. I drove to Witham (and back) and it was MUCH easier than the last drive. I actually enjoyed it. Heloise and I sat upstairs and read our books while Josh did his laps, and then it was time to go home.
It was a BBQ for supper. And it was delicious! After we cleaned up I drove to Coggeshall and back for some more practice. I'm really starting to get the hang of things. I don't want to drive alone just yet, but I'm getting there.
Not sure what's happening tomorrow yet. It's my first official day doing everything cuz Heloise starts her course. Nathaniel has been sick the last 2 days though so I'm not sure if he's going into school, and if that's the case, running the others to and from will be difficult. Anyways we'll figure all of that out in the morning. For now though, I'm off to bed.
Oh but before I go...I did take a picture this morning...but I decided it was too gross to post. I crushed my toe the day I got here, and it just seems to be getting worse. I've got a band-aid or..."plaster" on it now, but it still really hurts :(

Day 7
One week in, and the excitement continues. Thought I'd get to sleep in today...I was wrong. 8:30 - Someone's knocking at my door. Cousin Josh decides to come in and have a conversation with me...asks me why I'm not up yet. He clearly didn't care what my answer was, cuz he continued to talk even though my eyes were shut lol. He leaves and I think ahhh yes, time to go back to sleep. Wrong again. I tossed and turned for about 10 mins, then thought...well this is pointless. I sat up and went on my computer, and once again in waltzes Josh. He clearly didn't expect me to try and go back to sleep. He sat with me while I checked my e-mail, read over my shoulder so I soon closed that, and then we checked my farm together. *I can't complain about him coming in...at least I know he wants to spend time with me, which is nice*. He went off to football, and I got into what was the COLDEST shower I've EVER had. Seriously, it was so cold that between my shampoo and conditioner, I had to switch showers! I had been literally shivering! The other shower was amazing when I stepped in. - I love warmth! - Apparently there's something wrong with the other shower...but everyone only found that out today...I was the first to experience it.
Got ready and took the two youngest boys (Nathaniel and Zach), and Zach's friend Arthur to see "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs" in 3D. It was great. They really enjoyed it. It's really expensive to go to the movies here, but I've found out you can pay something like 13.99 (pound) for an all year unlimited movie pass...So I'll be doing that.
Came home with enough time to get ready to go out, and a little time to watch Spongebob with Nathaniel who wasn't feeling well.
My Uncle and Aunt came over to watch the boys so that Tim, Heloise and I could go to a Birthday party in London. We drove to Chelmsford and hopped on the train. I love London so I was pretty excited. The party was good, I met some really nice people, and the food was great. I had a really nice time. Hopped back on the train to come home. - It's a completely different experience on the way back - When we got off there was a guy passed out on one of the benches on the platform. An employee was shaking him like crazy trying to wake him up but it wasn't working so he had to call for an ambulance :S Then, walking to the car, 3 rather loud drunk people. The 2 girls louder than the guy of course, and one of them lifts up her skirt to show everyone around...(So us and a few guys down the street) everything that's underneath. Wonderful. Got in the car and was falling asleep on the ride home. We were welcomed by a friend at the door to the house. A good size frog was on the doorstep. Really cute. He hopped out of the way to let us in, and then we saw that there was a baby one on the door! It was cute too. It took it's time and hopped slowly off into the bushes. Heloise didn't like them too much, and judging by her face, she thinks I'm crazy to rather have a frog in my bed than a spider. Oh well.
Now I get to fall asleep. I'm crazy tired and silly me promised I'd watch Josh at soccer tomorrow, so it's another early start before a very busy week.
Still no more pictures cuz I only have the camera on my phone. I'm hoping to get a really nice camera when I'm back in Canada in October. Bye for now. x

Day 6
I am ABSOLUTELY exhausted. I know I say that every night...but should I really be falling asleep around 7:50 every night? Oh well, I'm looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. I'm actually excited to sleep!!! (That never happens with me).
Took the boys to school today, and came home for a bit of a relaxing morning. Helped put some laundry away and saw where everything went for when I'm here alone and have to do it. Cleaned the play room up and spoke to some people I had been waiting to talk to. Which was nice. Of course it made me miss home, but talking to them is definitely better than not.
Around 12:30 Zach finished preschool so him and a friend of his came home to play. They amused themselves so I just sat back and relaxed really. Then, around 3:20, it was time to drop the friend off at school. I piggy backed Zach more than half way, so I think it's safe to say my shoulder/rib is getting better and better. Zach, Heloise and I then went to the park. Their parks are much more amusing than ours. It's not just a swing and a slide. They have a variety of things that spin. - I wouldn't even know what to call them, and they are too hard to describe - but then they had climbing structures as well...Some weird see-saw...and a zip line. Yes, their parks definitely out do any park I've seen in Canada. And I've lived a number of places. Zach got on the Roundabout I think they called it...and asked me to spin him really fast, so I did. I love his laugh :D Cutest thing ever. Once we finished the park activities we walked back to the school to pick Josh and Nathaniel up from soccer. Brought them home for dinner, and before eating my Uncle stopped by to say hi, and then Josh and I rocked out on Guitar Hero World Tour.
After supper Josh went off to Cubs, Nathaniel played ninjabread man on the Wii...- it was cute...the giant cupcakes were trying to eat him - I looked up occasionally, but was writing a letter on the fancy paper I got the other day so I didn't see any of the story or the object of the game, but it looked fun enough. Zachary and I did a magic jigsaw puzzle. It was pretty cool. You put it all together, and there's probably about 25 black spots on it, that when you rub your thumb over, a picture shows up. Very smart idea.
The boys went to bed, and although I was falling asleep I stayed up to talk to my mom online, then Heloise and Tim were watching Forrest Gump - which I have never seen in its entirety -but when I started falling asleep on the couch I decided it was time to give in and come upstairs.
Tomorrow it's off to see Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs. And all 3 boys have soccer training. I get the weekends off...and if I wasn't so sleepy, I'd probably go watch, but I think I'm going to take tomorrow morning as a way of getting some hours of sleep back. I will go to their games on Sunday though. Or at least one of their games.
Anyway, seriously finding it hard to keep my eyes open right now so I'm gonna give in and pass out. Party to go to tomorrow night, so until I write about that...Thanks again for reading :D x

Day 5...No camera yet, but a NUMBER of new experiences and adventures today.
My day began the same. Brought the boys to school, then dropped Zach at preschool. Heloise and I then went to Chelmsford - The Birthplace of Radio! - To go to her University library and pick up some books, and do a little bit of shopping. Guess what else was there...YOU GOT IT! STARBUCKS! The employees at this one didn't make me feel nearly as out of place as the one yesterday. I said I had a complicated order for them cuz it's not on the menu, and when I said it's called a London Fog, or an Earl Grey Tea Misto...the girl knew exactly what I was talking about!!! AND my starbucks card even worked there! AWESOME!
Anyways, through some shops - all I bought today was some stationary - BUT I think I've found my new favourite clothing brand. It is all soooo nice! I don't think it'll be cheap, but it's all really nice dressy clothes that are definitely my style.
So from there we went to the University (Made me miss school), and after that we went to get car insurance. Got a call from a Scotsman and I had to ask him to repeat himself about 3 times. I had absolutely no idea what he was saying. Luckily I found out later that Heloise couldn't understand him either. Anyway, got the car insurance sorted...drove home in a hurry to wait for the Scottish guy to make a delivery (but he had already been when we arrived)...then we had 20 mins to sit, have a cup of tea, watch "Whose Line Is It Anyway?", and then go get Zach.
Heloise asked if I wanted to drive. I thought, now that I'm insured, there's no better time really. So I jumped into the drivers seat. Well...that was...different. Driving on the left side doesn't seem so bad. Having the shift on the left is odd though. The thing I really am not fond of is how narrow the roads are. It's pure insanity! Two lanes - one traveling in each direction - is, no joke, the same size as one of our lanes going in one direction! It's insane. And the roads are so windy that you can't see someone coming until they're at your hood...and then you have to pull into the bushes. Not to mention the fact that I'm driving something the size of a tank. All that aside...I'm sure I'll be fine. Lol. I'll be practicing more this weekend, and then next week...I'm thrown into the routine...maybe on my own :| This could be a little scary. Heloise was sure cringing at how close I was to the curb...but I do the same when she's driving, and she thinks she does the same when her husband drives...so I'm really not sure how good of a job, or bad, I was doing.
Picked Zach up, went to get Josh, Nathaniel, and a not so nice friend of Josh's who was coming over for dinner. He literally only eats chicken fingers...and if they're any different to the kind he's used to, he won't even eat those. The potatoes were weird cuz they weren't one big one (they were new potatoes), and they weren't mashed...the flapjacks were gross because they were cold. "YUCK!" He hates cold. And the chicken fingers were gross cuz they were spicy. My lord! I couldn't believe it. I don't know if things have changed, but when I was little - if you were at a friend's place and didn't like the meal that was being served, it didn't matter. You kept your mouth shut and ate it anyway. Clearly not the way this boy acts.
Once dinner was done another friend arrived, he's a very sweet child. And then we all got in the car to go to Judo. Watched Josh and Nathaniel there, while Heloise and Zach read books and played cards on the side...then it was time to come home. The 20 minute drive meant it was bedtime for the boys when we arrived, and although I was ready to sleep at the same time, Heloise wanted to watch Twilight...and those of you that know me, know that's something I couldn't pass up. Of course once that was over I had to come online, speak to my family, and write this...it is now 12:41 - so almost 5 hours since I was ready to go to bed - and I am still awake - barely -, and very tired. So on that note, Good Night! <3

Day 4
Day 4, and I am absolutely exhausted!! What a busy, productive day. Up at 6 as will be my regular routine. Got ready, went downstairs and made breakfast for the boys. (3 courses each...I don't know where they put it all...it really doesn't seem fair).
Helped Nathaniel do his times tables, checked my farm so everyone could see, and helped Zachary play his Bob the Builder game...in Spanish. (Apparently he likes the way they sound lol).
Heloise and I drove Josh and Nathaniel to school, then Zachary to his little day care/pre-school course. Jumped back in the car and drove into town.
While there I finally got a bank account, we picked up some clothes and a guitar book for the boys. Then...guess what....STARBUCKS!!!!! I was a very happy lady. I caused a bit of confusion there...which just goes to show that whoever named the London Fog, was clearly not a Londoner. Although they didn't know my drink, one of the baristas was intrigued and was ready to taste it and have it as a special on the menu lol. He thought it sounded delicious. - I made sure to tell him he had to put the chocolate powder on top or it just wouldn't be the same - he seemed to understand. And although their soy is clearly different than that in Canada, it tasted very good for a first timer. We left there after a lot of laughter and I got my new cell phone! YAY!! (I'm too tired to figure it out right now though). I had a bunch of questions for that lady, so I guess I did my fair share of confusing for the day.
A couple more things to do, and then it was time to leave and get Zachary. Picked him up, - with his awesome school picture...his face is priceless - and headed to Pizza Express with his friend, their siblings and their mom. It was here that I tasted the GREATEST invention EVER made! A 500 calorie lunch...are you ready for this? A pizza...BUT! like a donut, there's a hole in the middle....so picture this...a ring of pizza...and in the middle...A SALAD! (Somebody was thinking when they invented this one). A walk through the stores near there, and the friends mom pointed out an even closer Starbucks! This means I won't have to wait weeks to have another one!!! YAY!

Zach fell asleep on the way home, but when Heloise brought him in the house he woke up. She went to get the other two while Zach a
nd I hung out watching tv, looking after my farm, and taking some crazy pictures cuz he seems to love my camera.

Jelly joined us.
The boys got home, ate supper and we were off to Cubs. OH MY GOD! So many little boys talking at once. I helped out...today's lesson was about Fair Trade, so we made newspaper bananas, and then when it got really loud while they were trying to sell them and make profit, Zach, Josh and I went outside to play some "Football".
Went home - Zach and I had dinner - Heloise took the other 2 to Rugby. After supper Zach and I played Operation, then it was bath time for him and a story. He was all tucked in, as I was falling asleep reading a chapter and a half about an owl who is afraid of the dark. Poor little Plop. He's learning some good lessons though. Lol. Anyways, the boys got home and went straight to bed...I came downstairs to play around with my phone...couldn't keep my eyes open, so I came up, spoke to my parents and bro, and then wrote this. My eyesight honestly couldn't be any more blurry than right now I don't think. I seriously can't keep my eyes open.
Anyway, very busy day today, can't remember what's happening tomorrow, but I'm sure it will be busy as well.
Must have heard the word sausages at LEAST 15 times today - no exaggeration. It's a good thing Zach's cute :p
Off to bed now...or my head will hit the keyboard.

Day 3
Yes today was Day 3...but in reality, it was Day 1 for me. Heloise had her induction at school so I was up at 6, (after being up at 3 and again at 3:30...damn Jet lag). Got ready and then went downstairs to get the boys ready for school.
Breakfast, teeth, hair, then homework. They have so many activities going on that they sometimes don't have time for homework after school and therefore have to take 20 mins to do it in the morning. So Josh read beside me in his head, while Nathaniel read to me. Once that was done they wanted to check in on my farm. All was good there, did some harvesting - answered many questions about money, crops, animals etc.
My Uncle and Aunt showed up to take Zachary to his pre-school, and I walked with Josh and Nathaniel to their school. It was nice to spend time with the two of them as Zach only had half a day of school yesterday so we got some alone time then, and the boys had yet to really hang out with me.
So through the 2 paths, past the park to the school. I got my hug from Nathaniel and off they went. Back through the very pretty - nature filled paths - a little bit of a sprinkle, and I was home. Literally as I shut the door, it began to pour!
I got my "work out" clothes on...ie lulu lemon pants and a tank top lol, and went down to hook up the wii fit! I created a mii, and got it started...and to my shock, when it told me to step on...it was in a British accent!!! It was awesome! Even the countdown and everything, it's a British balance board. Awesome don't you think?
Anyway, once I finished on there it was time for breakfast, a quick chat with my bro while watching the VMA'S. - I love Russel Brand...and Kanye's a tool! - But that's nothing new. Then it was time to do some work. Off to the play room to clean! Finished that and was glad to have it looking nice (Even though I know it won't last long at all)...in fact it will probably be back to the way it was by tomorrow night. Jelly came in to sleep on the couch...OOPS! *SOFA*. Once I left that room I went to the family room. I figured I better start getting music for Zach's new Ipod if I wanted to make him happy. I think he'd asked me every 5 minutes beginning at about 6pm yesterday. And first thing that came out of his mouth this morning when he saw me?...Not good morning...Nope, it was "Have you done my ipod yet?" Soooo I did that, got Jelly and he had a good nap and gave me some cuddles. I had to get up for a minute to put something in my room, and he followed me all the way up and then back down. I think I've made a new friend :D

By the time I was done all that my Aunt was there to wait for Zach to be dropped off and stay with him while I went to pick the other 2 up, and meet up with my Uncle. We walked home in the rain (Yes I've given in and gotten an umbrella). Once we got back we dropped everything at the house and went to my Uncle's (The boys' grandpa and grandmas). Snack for them, homework, pool and then dinner. It was a pretty nice evening. We finished there and then came home. (I was officially "off" for the night) but Zach asked if we could now put the music onto his ipod. Well, we tried. For some reason it wasn't working and later ended up screwing up my laptop, but I fixed that. Still haven't managed to get music on his ipod though. It was free...so I think that may be the problem. Anyway while we were trying to get it to work the farm was the next thing we had to do. Nathaniel and Josh wanted to make sure my neighbours didn't need any help, and had to see that my harvesting was all done and my animals were all fine.
They went off to bed...I watched the Man U game with Tim -mmmm Michael Owen!- and then I decided (As I was falling asleep at my laptop), that I would come up, type my blog and hit the hay. It's been a busy day and tomorrow I get to go shopping while the boys are at school, and I think for pizza as well!! I want to be awake for that :p
More tomorrow, thanks for reading :D

Day 2
Haven't got a proper camera yet, so until then my blogs will be mostly text. The only pics I have taken are with my laptop, and are pretty much the same as the one I posted yesterday. So until I can get to a store and get the camera I want, I'll have to try to paint the pictures with words.
Today was much busier than yesterday. Woke up at around 4:30am, told myself I didn't want to suffer with Jet Lag so I went back to sleep. Up again at 7 - checked who was online and chatted in bed until 7:30. Then it all began. First day in "training". Got ready and once I was finished I had a visitor at my door. Josh came in to talk and wanted to know how long I'd been up and how come I hadn't come downstairs as he was up at 6:30 :p (Little does he know how long it takes me to get ready each day). *Stephen knows all about this*
We talked about good music etc as he scrolled through his dad's Ipod (Currently in my room), and that's when Nathaniel joined us.
Time to go...Off to school at 8:40, it's a nice walk through a few wooded paths. Still getting used to looking to my right before crossing the street rather than the left. (So Weird!) I haven't gone to the wrong side of the car yet though...I'm quite proud of myself for that.
Anyway, we got to the school where we dropped Josh and Nathaniel, and then took Zachary to his pre school class. Once that was through, my cousin (their mom) and I walked up to High Street. (The main street in the village). Went to the bank and grocery store, showed me where the important things were...doctors etc. Then walked back home to wait for the Skip man...(I had no idea what that meant), it's the guy that leaves a huge garbage *basically dumpster* for you to get rid of renovation junk etc, and he picks it up later on. Anyway, once he got here we went to a town called Tiptree. Did a little bit of running around there and sat down for a coffee. Wasn't a Starbucks and no Soy milk sooo...I watched :p
Once we finished there we went back to pick up Zachary. Heloise had to help out at the school so Zach and I walked up to the Library, got some books, a dvd, and listened to the librarian sing songs and read stories. It was cute. Walked back to the school to pick Nathaniel up and head to Swimming. As soon as that was done, it was time to race back and get Josh from school soccer...or I guess I should say Football. They've been correcting me these last couple of days :p Zachary says I shouldn't say couch (He doesn't know what that means) Instead I am to say Sofa. I was also ridiculed in the way I say Waterloo...for a good 10 minutes haha. They're too cute. I'm sure they'll get used to my "funny accent" and words soon enough. Zachary ran through my vocabulary...turns out we say sausages the same. (That seems to be his favourite thing at the moment).
Watched Nathaniel play Mario Galaxy on the Wii, had some dinner and then it was time for homework. (Lots of chaos and fun in between, but nothing to report...Just Zachary singing at the top of his lungs playing the rockband guitar without the game actually being on...Hence where the word Waterloo came up).
After homework we played some real Guitar Hero World Tour. I was very happy to hear from Josh that I am "Brilliant!" He couldn't believe it. Oh how children can make you feel special :p
That was pretty much it for my day today. Helped put the groceries away and put them to bed...and am refusing to eat all the delicious junk food I know England possesses :p I don't think there's as much going on tomorrow, but will soon find out.
I'll try to get a picture of their kitty Jelly before the end of the week...He's gorgeous!!!
Off to watch the beginning of "Burn After Reading" before I give in to my tiredness and pass out.

Day 1

A few people have asked me to update them as my time goes by in England, and while I will send private messages, I thought why not start a blog as well?
To let you all know I landed safely. Numerous tears were shed as I said good bye to my puppies at home...and it didn't get any better from there. I got to the airport, and had a Frappuccino with my mom which was fine...but we knew what was to come. We had a long TEARFUL goodbye, and the next 20 minutes consisted of me going through security and walking through the terminal to my gate - tears strolling down my face - and a number of concerned employees asking too many questions. Yes it was nice that they cared, but each time a new question came, so did more tears.
Anyways, sitting there waiting to board...other passengers looking at me as if I had 5 heads. (Guess they've never moved away from such a loving family before). They called my seat number and that was that. No turning back, hit the power button on my phone...This was it!
All buckled in now, waiting for the seats to fill up so we can prepare for take off. 2 men walk on and as they pass my row, one says to the other "It's good to sit at the back...Means you're last to die". GREAT! Thanks for that guys.
Cute baby in front, aisle seat, skinny/non smelly guy beside me...Good to go....and I'm asleep. Must have been a peaceful take off. Woke up a little while later, watched the end of Pink Panther 2...didn't want to hear it. Then waiting for 17 Again to start but they serve dinner...
Dinner...can you call it that if you're not really sure what it is? I think there was some roast chicken, peas (cold but pretty good)...a dumpling of some sort...I think...Jury's still out on that one, and what seemed to be some form of potatoes. Anyways...I ate it, the brownie was delicious, and the crackers were unmistakable. That much I knew. Referring back to the on flight magazine I thought "Zac Efron! what a great way to end this dinner". Then Star Trek started. It's ok though, no need to panic...Great movie and Captain Kirk is definitely nice to look at.
Fall back to sleep at the end of that, and wake up with just an hour left of the flight. Didn't feel like 8 hours and 50 minutes. About 30 mins in line for customs, 20 for luggage and out the doors. Feels like I'm starting a new life. Scary, but kind of exciting. Nervous and home sick already...but then I look over and that little smile put a big smile on my face. My littlest cousin of the 3 I'll be watching, (Zach) standing there waiting for me.
Drive "home", he introduces me to the cat Jelly, and shows me my room. Perfect little host. Accomplished some levels on his DS for him, but not before putting up window flaps on his cardboard home - newly extended to have a living room as well as a bedroom/front entrance. Our next mission is to put a staircase in it. We're going for the cardboard mansion. Should be interesting. We think we may put a flower bed underneath the window to spruce it up a little. Josh and Nathaniel (8 and 6) get home. The excitement starts. 7 people talking at once, myself not included. So many questions to answer. Get a tour of the rest of the house to see if anything's changed...full size Johnny Depp in one of the rooms. (It may not be there when I leave in a year's time...Shhh). Mario Galaxy on the Wii was beckoning...after a few VERY short minutes though it was Spongebob on TV and a Pirates of the Caribbean lego dock to build. It turned out quite nicely if I do say so myself ;). A nice lunch and a short stint in the front yard with the zip line. Uncle and Aunt came over for dinner (I'm lucky I didn't pass out on my plate). I've been falling asleep all day. SO, after a delicious meal, I said my good nights and here I am.
Tomorrow's another day, lots to do. Up at 7:30 to take the boys to school and then hopefully grabbing a new cell phone, etc. I'm sure I'll be very busy this year, and will also have a ton of fun! For now though, I need to catch up on some sleep so I don't get stuck with Jet lag.
I promise to write more tomorrow.
